During a business trip in Sapporo, I visited HIGUMA Sapporo Factory store for a solo lunch. The location is at North 2nd East 4th Street, about a 6-minute walk from Bus Center Mae Station inside Sapporo Factory. HIGUMA is a popular soup curry restaurant from Kuwan. This store opened in October 2022. I arrived around 11:05, shortly after opening. The interior has a log cabin style, similar to the Kuwan store, with plenty of manga available. I sat at the counter alone. On the table, there were tasty spicy oil, burnt garlic oil, toothpicks, paper napkins, tissues, a water pitcher, and a call button. After sitting down, cutlery, paper towels, and water were brought to me. This time, I ordered the following: - Handmade juicy hamburger 1,780 yen - Original soup - Spiciness level 5 - Multigrain rice L (350g) 150 yen - Braised pork 450 yen - HIGUMA special marinated Zangi plain 2 pieces 350 yen, totaling 2,730 yen. At HIGUMA, I usually go for tonkatsu, but this time I went for the triple combo of hamburger, braised pork, and Zangi! The food arrived in about 15 minutes. Just like at the Kuwan store, all the dishes were served in Le Creuset dishes, which felt luxurious. The basic ingredients at HIGUMA include carrots, edamame, enoki mushrooms, tomatoes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, burdock, cabbage, lotus root, eggplant, young corn, okra, green beans, broccoli, paprika, snow peas, bell peppers, shimeji mushrooms, mizuna, egg, and daikon, totaling 22 kinds. In addition to that, the hamburger, braised pork, and separate plate of Zangi made the meal very luxurious and filling! The spiciness was a bit mild, but the flavor was quite enjoyable. I also had fun changing the taste with the tasty spicy oil and burnt garlic oil on the table. Especially recommend trying the burnt garlic oil for added richness! The Zangi was average, but the braised pork and hamburger were very delicious! I sometimes visit for sports wear shopping or a movie, so having HIGUMA in the Factory is quite nice. I recommend giving it a try.
