I'm alone in Obihiro and the weather is nice. I had ramen for lunch. I need to finish my plans quickly today and head home. It's time to go home now, but I decided to check out "Tokachi Chiffon," a cake shop that wasn't on my list. I found the address in my notes and was drawn to the chiffon cake. The shop looked a bit lonely, but the lights were on. Inside, a man greeted me. They didn't have many options, just "Plain" and "Rum Raisin" chiffon cakes for 410 yen each. It's a bit pricey, but I decided to try the "Rum Raisin." It had a subtle rum flavor and a soft, fluffy texture, like a chiffon cake. The "Plain" chiffon cake, on the other hand, was delicious. It seems that plain is the way to go with chiffon cakes.

While traveling in Obihiro, my sweet-toothed partner suddenly said, "I want to eat cake!" After a quick search, we found a hit shop. I wasn't expecting much from their chiffon cakes, but it turned out to be the most delicious one I've ever had. The main ingredients like eggs, flour, and milk are all sourced from Tokachi, which is a big plus. The cheese chiffon cake had a rich cheese flavor, and the strawberry chiffon cake had the fresh taste of strawberries. They were moist, fluffy, and super delicious. I regret only buying two flavors. Next time we visit Obihiro, I definitely want to try all the flavors. Thank you, Tokachi Chiffon!

This is Obihiro. "There's a shop I want to visit~♪" said my wife. I'm not sure where she found out about it, but it seems to be a specialty shop for chiffon cakes called "Tokachi Chiffon". The shop is small, but they also have a cafe space. The display shelves are filled with chiffon cakes individually wrapped in transparent film. Due to time constraints, they seemed a bit low on stock, but we bought a few varieties. I chose "Tokachi Milk" and "Tokachi Cheese". The size of each chiffon cake is quite substantial. The chiffon itself is soft and fluffy. Personally, I felt that it could be a bit more moist. It needed a bit more milk. Both were delicious chiffon cakes with the flavors of milk and cheese.

This is a souvenir from my son's couple. It is located facing Harukoma Street, so it is easy to find. As the name of the shop suggests, chiffon seems to be their specialty, and indeed, the chiffon cake is fluffy and delicious. I also bought several other cakes, but forgot to take a picture. Another favorite Western confectionery shop has been added.
