I stayed in Sapporo for one night on a regular day. When choosing accommodation, I usually go for the cheapest option, but this time I chose this place because various conditions overlapped and it was cheaper. The location is convenient, as it is located in the center of Sapporo, about a 7-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station, and a 2-minute walk from the Sapporo Station on the Namboku Line and Toho Line. The hotel is built on the site of the Hokkaido Forestry Bureau, and the garden is lush with trees. The interior of the facility is designed with a Vienna theme from the late 19th century, which creates a unique atmosphere. The security is top-notch, with elevators that automatically stop at your room floor when you scan your room key card. Additionally, each room is equipped with a free rental smartphone that can be used for calls, internet access, and provides abundant tourist information, making it a handy guide for travelers. The accommodation plan I chose this time includes a voucher for the natural hot spring bath at the Carlovy Bali Spa on the 14th floor. The spa has jet baths, saunas, outdoor baths, and a popular rock bath for women. Although it was said that you can enjoy a panoramic view of Sapporo's night view, it wasn't as impressive as expected. Breakfast is served in the Ruserna Hall on the 12th floor, offering a buffet with over 60 Japanese and Western dishes. The "Hokkaido Corner" is recommended, featuring dishes made with Hokkaido ingredients such as pork bowls, Ishikari hot pots, chicken onion zangi, cream gratin with Hokkaido potatoes and onions, Hokkaido beef curry, and omelets made with eggs from Kamikawa, Hokkaido. There is also a wide selection of popular bread, so you can enjoy a stylish breakfast. However, as I don't usually eat breakfast, I tend to eat the same things at buffets, which is a bit sad for me. As long as there is shoyu and katsuobushi, I'm satisfied with a Hokkaido-style breakfast (laughs). The drink selection also includes Salobetsu milk from Hokkaido, which is well thought out. There are many accommodation options nearby, but if you prioritize proximity to JR Sapporo Station, it might be worth considering this place even if it's a bit more expensive. After breakfast, you can also visit the Nijo Market, which is popular among tourists, within walking distance, so you can enjoy a second round of food tasting. Thank you for the meal.
