I visited the restaurant for lunch on a Thursday at the beginning of April. The location is easy to find at the Chuo Ward Citizens' Center, but since there is no parking at the Citizens' Center, you can park at the Chuo Health Promotion Center next to the former Chuo Ward Office if you mention your purpose. As expected, I went there for my third COVID vaccine dose. The online reservation was smoother than the second dose, and although it was somewhat crowded, the waiting time was not too long. Perhaps because it was a weekday lunch reservation at 12:00 pm. After it was done, I searched for a lunch place, but it seemed impossible to find a reasonably priced restaurant at around 12:30 pm. If I were to enter a restaurant at that time, it would likely be full of working people. While wandering around, I was surprised to find a cafe-like restaurant on the first floor of the building. It had a trendy atmosphere and seemed to offer lunch as well. I decided to go in immediately. The interior was not very spacious, with 4 tables for 4 people each and 4 counter seats, creating a nice and clean atmosphere. The staff, a friendly middle-aged woman, gave a warm welcome. The clientele seemed to be regulars, with a moderate level of occupancy. There were solo diners, couples, and many elderly customers engaged in conversations with the staff. As soon as I sat down, I was informed that the daily fish lunch was already sold out, and only the meat lunch was available. Additionally, I was told that other menu items might take longer to prepare as they were made by one person. I decided to be difficult and ordered the Napolitan dish. My companion ordered the recommended meat daily lunch and also ordered a drink after the meal for an additional 200 yen. The meat daily lunch, priced at 820 yen including tax, was a Mille-feuille cutlet made by layering several thinly sliced pork pieces. It was not very thick but decent. The side dishes included a vegetable salad, carrot with mustard, mapo bean thread, rolled omelet, simmered daikon, and burdock, giving a homely feel. The taste was light. The miso soup was seaweed-rich and also light in flavor. The rice portion was not large. The Napolitan dish with salad and drink included, priced at 1,020 yen, was served with a colorful vegetable salad with a Japanese dressing first. Then, my companion's meat lunch arrived, followed shortly by the Napolitan dish. It had thick noodles with a ketchup sauce that was not overly sweet. The portion was average, with ample ingredients such as onions, carrots, bell peppers, green peppers, and pork. The meat was decent. The post-meal drink was freshly brewed coffee. Thank you for the meal.
