On Tuesday, just before noon, I couldn't find parking at my favorite restaurant, so I remembered there was a Ramen shop nearby called Sanpachi. It's been about 7 years since I last had Sanpachi. No matter what you order, it's always above average and a reliable chain restaurant!

I felt like eating ramen for the first time in a while, so I decided to visit Sanpachi. I was surprised by how expensive it was! I ordered the seared salt ramen, my daughter got the original soy sauce ramen, and my son got the old-fashioned ramen. The seared salt ramen had a strong meaty smell and tasted like ground meat, so I couldn't eat it. I ended up sharing my son's old-fashioned ramen, making sure to avoid the ground meat. It was good. The original soy sauce ramen was not as strong as usual, making it easy to eat. The old-fashioned ramen was the best as always! I made a mistake by ordering fried rice with sesame oil. No need for sesame oil in fried rice!

Located in the Nishino area, along North 1st Street and Miyanosawa Avenue, this ramen chain restaurant is where I had lunch while I was in the area for errands. There is a parking space on the side of the building. The interior has counter seats and table seats, with a deep and elongated layout. First, you purchase a meal ticket from the ticket machine. While I do like the nostalgic ramen from Sanpachi, I was in the mood for miso, so I ordered the classic "Miso Ramen (880 yen)". It was ready in about 8 minutes. The soup is slightly thick with fried vegetables in an animal-based broth. As someone who has been eating this for a long time, it has a familiar and comforting taste to it. The small naruto with the Sanpachi logo is cute. The medium-thick curly Sapporo noodles, cooked slightly firm, pair well with the soup. It may be a bit rich for someone who prefers lighter flavors like me, but I think it's a delicious miso ramen with a good portion size. You also get an ice candy after your meal, which is a nice bonus. Personally, I prefer the miso ramen from Jidokido-san in ramen chains, but if you like old-fashioned ramen, this place is worth a try.

On this day off, I tried to have lunch at the popular ramen shop Mokuren in the Nishi Ward, but it was full so I gave up and headed to Sanpachi Nishino store nearby. I had Norimayo (formerly known as Chamyu, with more rice and ingredients than before, very satisfying and delicious!), Miso ramen (with butter topping), the soup had a consistent flavor with the butter topping complementing well, and the noodles were the usual medium-thick curly noodles. Normally, Sanpachi wouldn't be my choice for a weekend lunch, but I was pleasantly surprised!

On Thursday, I was in the mood for ramen so I tried visiting various ramen shops. Unfortunately, all the shops I went to were closed on Thursdays. Maybe Thursdays are not the best day for ramen. Since I have limited time for my lunch break, I decided to just eat ramen at this place. This chain restaurant in the area was new to me, although I often go to the main store. I ordered the miso ramen. The noodles were surprisingly hard and had a powdery texture, and the soup was just okay. Overall, no matter what I added to it, the ramen was just okay. In conclusion, I decided to avoid having ramen on Thursdays.

Rather than being disappointed after waiting in line for famous restaurants for 10 minutes, I feel more at ease and enjoy eating at the reliable Sanpachi Ramen. The vegetable ramen can be classified as a Jiro-style ramen, with an incredible volume that kept me full for half a day. Despite the lower overall rating due to the chain store deduction system on Tabelog, it should at least have a rating of around 3.4 to 3.5. It's delicious and offers great value for money.

I happened to stop by while shopping. Occasionally, eating at a local chain of Sapporo ramen is not a bad idea... I think as I enter the store... It's been quite a while since I last visited, probably back when they had a branch near Suidobashi Station in Tokyo... Since then, I haven't had it again... I parked my car in the parking lot and as soon as I entered the store, I noticed a sign for Senior Day! Surprisingly, I am eligible. However, upon closer inspection, it seems it's only on the 15th of every month. Today is the 14th, so I was a day early. I briefly thought about coming back tomorrow, but I was already in ramen mode and my body and mind were set on it. My feet moved on their own to the ticket machine. If I've come this far, I have no choice but to eat... I thought as I chose the "Shoyu Ramen." It costs 850 yen including tax. I thought it's still not cheap as I held the ticket and sat at the counter... I handed it to the staff. It was past 1 pm, and about 80% of the seats were filled. It seems to still have a strong following... I thought as I waited for 10 minutes. It's ready. I can't remember how many years it's been, but the appearance of this ramen is firmly etched in my mind... I felt nostalgic as I took a sip of the soup with the spoon. Mmm... it tastes like before... The pork seems thinner, but I'm not sure... When I lift the noodles with my chopsticks, the dark color of the thick soup clings to them, giving a solid impression of the soup coating them... When I put it in my mouth, mmm... delicious!! The miso here is not bad either, but I always chose shoyu. That memory comes back to me... I leisurely ate while savoring the flavor, but... I couldn't finish the thick soup. I wanted to drink it, but a voice in my head kept saying not to drink it... I left some soup behind and left the restaurant. It's not cold outside, spring is approaching Sapporo too.

The other day, my respected reviewer zunndamoti tried the Butter Corn Ramen at Sanpachi, so I decided to try it at Nishino's Kokoichi. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen with corn and butter toppings, and also got a small rice on the side. The ramen had a lot of vegetables, which I'm not a big fan of because it fills me up quickly. It seems like the amount of corn in the ramen was more than expected. In Hokkaido, we don't usually eat ramen with corn and butter, but it's a common belief in other regions. Butter ramen does bring back memories of adding butter to Maruchan miso ramen. It's important to assert yourself and take the lead in business dealings and interactions with clients. Kokoichi is a great place for meetings and discussions over a meal, although I usually have my own "brainstorming sessions" since I often dine alone. It's a perfect spot for group gatherings and lively discussions with colleagues.

I really felt like eating Sanpachi after a long time. I always go for the classic old-fashioned ramen. It's light but flavorful. I used to like the original soy sauce ramen too. The sweetness of the onions in it was really delicious. A friend used to order it, but even though there were onions in it, I felt like the sweetness of the onions was missing in the soup. As for the miso ramen, I used to think Sanpachi's miso ramen was extremely rich, but when I tried it again after a long time, I was surprised at how light it was... Maybe it depends on the chef? Overall, it felt a bit bland. I ended up ordering the fried rice, but now I kind of regret not getting the mini curry... I don't dislike it, so I might go back again if I feel like it.

After finishing an unavoidable errand near Nishino, I found myself almost becoming a dinner refugee, so I hurriedly ran into Ramen Sanpachi Nishino store. It had been over a year since I first visited Ramen Sanpachi at the Shin-Kotoni store, so I couldn't remember what kind of menu they had at all... I ordered the miso ramen, based on the description "Unchanging taste since establishment" written on the menu. Wow! A miso ramen that looks rich and flavorful appeared. It looks rich as expected, but the saltiness is not that strong. The chashu is delicious. The umami sauce has soaked into the chashu nicely. This is good. I have never ordered chashu as a topping, but this deliciousness makes me want to. On the way out, I received an ice candy. I don't remember this service being available at Shin-Kotoni.

I, a native of Sapporo, never dreamed I would visit this place again until this day. "Sanpachi" has been gradually expanding its stores since 1987, and is still considered one of the higher quality ramen chains in Hokkaido. With the current pandemic, traveling with a baby requires extra caution. Yesterday, we opted for takeout soup curry, but today I was looking for a place with a raised seating area where I could have my baby next to me and not in a cramped space. That's when I remembered this restaurant near my parents' house. The Nishino branch seems to have been around for a long time. I must have visited it many years ago, as I vaguely remember the interior. The restaurant has counter seats, regular tables, and a spacious tatami area at the back. We were seated in the tatami area and managed to have our meal and feed the baby milk. We ordered the "Miso Ramen" (800 yen) and the "Stir-fried Miso Ramen" (850 yen). The Miso Ramen was quite sweet in flavor, while the stir-fried version had a richer taste. The noodles were medium thickness and firm, not easily overcooked in the hot soup. The stir-fried vegetables included bean sprouts and onions, cooked at a high temperature. The chashu pork was nicely grilled, with a texture and flavor better than some fancy ramen shops in Tokyo. The friendly service from the female staff, who even kindly disposed of our baby's trash, left a lasting impression. I was surprised to see that they still offer the "Sanpachi Day" ice candy for each customer at the end of the meal, a tradition that has been ongoing for years.

It's too quiet and I can't help but be bothered by the guy next to me eating noisily. I'm using tissue as earplugs to block out the noise. The "Spicy Miso Ramen" for 850 yen was good as usual! The chashu at Sapporo Ichiban seems to be different at each store... sometimes thin slices, sometimes a combination of belly and loin chashu. Is it just my imagination? Today's chashu was thick and tender, with two slices that fall apart along the fibers. It was great! The menu has been drastically reduced, but since I always order the spicy miso, it didn't affect me! I'll definitely come back. It's the basics of Sapporo ramen!

Welcome. ---------- March 2016 ----------Located between the cherry island and the magnolia tree along the north 1st street Miyanozawa street, the concept is "satisfying both the stomach and the heart warmly" |o| °д°)ノGalarara "Welcome!" The cheerful and energetic staff, managed by both young people and older women, do not guide you, so I am alone and sit at the end of the counter. The first time I ate here was 18 years ago, so I don't remember the taste after 18 years. There are more older women staff than young staff, so maybe the younger ones are learning a lot from them. Their actions are good, and I think they are being educated well. "I'm sitting at the counter!" I called out, but only Tom was there, as expected. The visual of the miso ramen has not changed since the old days, typical of Sanpachi. The moderate floating oil complements the refreshing sweetness of the tonkotsu broth. The perfect balance of miso flavor followed by the gentle umami of tonkotsu and chicken broth. The miso flavor is present but not too salty, which is why it is loved by many older and female customers. The crunchy vegetables include onions, Chinese cabbage, and bean sprouts, giving a healthy touch. The large portion lacks texture, with bamboo shoots and wavy noodles that perfectly match the soup. The meat, with two different cuts and thicknesses, offers a great texture. As the soup gradually thins out, adding garlic and chili pepper enhances the flavor. The unexpected amount of vegetables keeps you satisfied and in line with the concept of "satisfying both the stomach and the heart warmly." This is why customers can have high expectations of this restaurant, which has been around for a long time without any closures in the city. It's nice to see a familiar place after 18 years. There are many options, which may be why some customers keep coming back, but the fact that it has been running for so long is a good sign. "Satisfying both the stomach and the heart warmly," thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant in early October 2015 around 5 pm on a Wednesday. It had been a while since my last visit, but I was greeted by two female staff members, which was a rare sight for a ramen restaurant. The cashier was a male staff member who came out from the kitchen later. There were two other customers when I entered, but no one else afterwards. The menu had a variety of ramen options, and I ordered the popular miso ramen for 720 yen plus tax, along with the daily special nori mayo for 150 yen plus tax. The miso ramen was delicious with a rich miso flavor and hot vegetables. The noodles were medium-sized and curly, and the chashu slices were tender and tasty. The nori mayo rice burger was also enjoyable with its chopped chashu and spicy mayo. After paying, I received a complimentary ice cream. Overall, the food was consistently good, and the restaurant offered a range of services from lunch sets to daily specials. I had only tried the miso ramen before, but now I am interested in trying other ramen options as well.

In March 2013, I visited Ramen Sanpachi Nishino for the first time. The restaurant is located in Nishino, Nishi-ku, Sapporo, along Kita 1-jo Miyanosawa Street. The exterior looks old-fashioned, but the interior is clean with counter seats and small raised tables. I ordered the soy sauce ramen, and my companion had the miso ramen. The noodles were slightly firm, and the miso soup had a strong flavor. The toppings included chashu, menma, moyashi, negi, and hakusai. The ramen was priced at 380 yen on Sanpachi Day, which is a great deal. Overall, the ramen was satisfying and worth the price. I recommend visiting on Sanpachi Day for the discounted price and free ice candy after payment.

At the end of the year, I have been busy and rushing around, moving from place to place in the city. Today's lunch was at a ramen chain restaurant "Ramen Sanpachi" in Sapporo, which I rarely visit. It's been three years since I last visited a Sanpachi restaurant, so today I ordered the 2nd most popular dish, the soy sauce ramen. The female staff brought me a glass of water and a new pair of wooden chopsticks. The wooden chopsticks were placed in a classy way, making me feel a bit elegant. From the counter, I could see the kitchen where the noodles were being cooked and the dishes were being prepared. The soy sauce ramen looked similar in terms of toppings and ingredients to the miso ramen. The soy sauce base was rich and flavorful, with a nice balance of soy sauce and sweet richness from the vegetables. The hot broth, preserved with lard, was a challenge for my sensitive tongue, but it was a delight in the winter of Hokkaido. The Naruto fish cake with the "Sanpachi" logo on it and the ice candy given after paying the bill were a nostalgic touch, reminding me of the first time I tried Sanpachi's miso ramen when I moved to Sapporo in Hokkaido 20 years ago. This time, I enjoyed the 2nd most popular soy sauce ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Sapporo Ramen Sanpachi Nishino Branch
Location: 4-1-1 Nishino 4-jo, Nishi-ku, Sapporo
Sanpachi Ramen is a well-known chain of Sapporo ramen restaurants. The restaurant is always crowded during lunchtime. The interior is like a typical ramen shop. I usually come here to eat Mega Ramen, but this time I decided to try the highly talked about Super Miso Ramen (888 yen). When the ramen arrived, it looked normal. However, when I tried to scoop up the soup, it was quite thick and difficult to scoop with a spoon. The soup was lukewarm! What's with this lukewarm soup? The miso flavor was rich, but not too intense, with a slight sweetness. The noodles were thick curly noodles, and they were hot! I underestimated the temperature of the soup, but the noodles were chewy and delicious. The vegetables on top were not sour when dipped in the soup, and they tasted like sesame dressing. Mixing the noodles with the soup to warm it up improved the overall taste. The chashu was a bit tough with a noticeable fibrous texture, but the flavor was good. It might be better to heat up the soup and turn it into a dipping ramen. It wasn't as bad as the rumors suggested, but the lukewarm soup was definitely a fatal flaw.
