Even though a citizen mumbles about it, in this season, places like Kushiro or Nemuro in the eastern part of Hokkaido would be cooler. Even if one citizen mutters about it, (omitted) For today's brunch/lunch, I went to a restaurant near Kita 24-jo Station and had the Sausage Egg set meal (with a red panda) so for my snack/dinner at 3 o'clock, I will head towards JR Kotoni Station. I was saying that, but there was a coupon attached to the newspaper insert, so I put it in my wallet and visited this place. The layout of this restaurant is similar to the one in Kita 24-jo, with a counter on the first floor for ordering, payment, and receiving the food, then you go upstairs to the dining area to eat. I ordered the "Popcorn Chicken," "Boneless Kentucky," and "Drink M" set, which is usually 720 yen, but with the coupon, it was 550 yen. I chose cola for the "Drink M." I received the items and moved to the second floor. The layout is a bit smaller than the Kita 24-jo store, right? But the air conditioning is working well. There was one customer before me, and two customers after me. For some reason, it's all middle-aged men (laughs). I tore open the paper bag of the "Popcorn Chicken" and said hello to the contents. Hmm? It seems less overflowing compared to the photo. I took a bite... It's like the nugget version of boneless Kentucky? The texture is soft, but the taste is the usual Kentucky (laughs). I felt a little hungry, so I came here. It was my first time visiting this store. This time, I ordered the "Chicken Cream Pot Pie." I have been curious about this product every year when I see the commercial. I took it home and had it right away! My first impression when I took it out of the box was that it was small!! Continuing from last year's reviews, in the Hachiken area, there is a KFC located near JR Kotoni Station in Hachiken. I felt like eating Kentucky Fried Chicken after a long time, so I used the drive-thru to make a purchase. I ordered the "1,000 yen pack" which includes Original Recipe Chicken and Kernel Crispy. Both types of chicken have their own deliciousness, but personally, I prefer the bone-in Original Recipe. As a middle-aged person, I can only eat two pieces, but considering the quality, it is reasonable, so I recommend it to those who love chicken.

This is around the Kinu Nise Station. After walking 20,000 steps at the nearby health center, it's time for lunch. It's a strict lunch for my low-carb diet. Today, instead of saying "Why not go to KFC?", satochina told me "You should go to KFC!", so I did! In the morning, I had a salad with broccoli, okra, tomato, and salad chicken. I used mayonnaise this time. I didn't know mayonnaise was low in carbs! However, KFC's breading has quite a bit of carbs! One piece has 7.8g, and the daily limit is 40g, so I might be consuming too many carbs for lunch. So, I only eat less than half of the skin. It's a shame because the spiced skin is so delicious! But I have to resist! There are parts that come off easily and parts that don't. It's a waste, but goodbye carbs! Even with less than half, the spiced skin is still delicious. When I arrived at the store and looked at the menu, there was a new pack in addition to the usual "4-piece L potato comparison pack." It was the "Red Hot Chicken 6-piece pack." Unlike the traditional mix sales with original chicken, this was a standalone pack of Red Hot Chicken. A very happy new pack for those who love Red Hot Chicken. I enjoyed it for dinner with a cold beer. Recently, I've been seeing a lot of Kentucky Fried Chicken on TV, and I suddenly felt like eating some KFC. Since I didn't have any drinking plans that day, I ended up driving my colleague to this restaurant that has a drive-thru. I found some great coupons on their app and in line, so I got some reasonably priced takeout. The KFC chicken was delicious as always. The oil wasn't too heavy, and I finished it all in no time. It may be tough to have it every day, but I definitely crave this chicken dish once in a while. Thanks for the meal.

Perhaps the smoke signals are missed while eating. I didn't want to see a Heisei lady smoking while eating. It seems to be more popular among mom groups than families. Many people just order drinks while smoking. The original chicken set includes 2 pieces of original chicken, small fries, medium drink, and an additional side dish of your choice. The lady would choose a combination considering the size of the chicken parts. There were mostly short fries, which I personally like. If you're coming this far, the service at the Maruyama store is better.

When I visit the West District in June 2015, I always use this street, which is lined with restaurants and feels like the main street of the West District. There are several KFCs on this street, and on my way home, I stop by one of the drive-thru stores to purchase the 45th-anniversary pack featured in their commercial. It took less than 10 minutes from ordering, and this pack has an uneven distribution of chicken parts, but I didn't mind. It includes coleslaw salad, 3 pieces of chicken, nuggets, and fried potatoes for 1070 yen. I serve it as a side dish for dinner, as my son also loves KFC. The chicken parts that were uneven were the ones with many bones. Despite not wanting my son to eat those parts, he ended up eating 2 out of the 3 pieces, so I scolded him to eat neatly. The fried potatoes were delicious even after some time, and the nuggets were crispy. KFC fried chicken is something I want to have regularly. Thank you for the meal.

Kentucky, Bistro-style Hamburger Sandwich. I was expecting the delicious high-end appearance from the advertisement, so I decided to try it at a nearby Kentucky location. However, it wasn't as bistro-like as it looked. Perhaps my expectations were too high... The homemade-style hamburger inside was quite good, but the taste was too light for a hamburger. Additionally, the demi-glace sauce was unevenly distributed, with the front having very little sauce. Because of this, there was a discrepancy between the expected and actual taste compared to the advertisement photo. The balance in how the sauce is applied when making and serving this type of hamburger is crucial. It seems that a certain level of know-how is required for this type of fast food. For example, Mos Burger and Lucky Pierrot offer burgers with flavors and portions that exceed expectations and result in high satisfaction. In contrast, Kentucky's burger seems to have lost customer expectations due to exaggerated advertising. On the other hand, Lotteria's Cheeseburger was truly delicious. Kentucky, known for its fried chicken, does have a burger to be proud of - the classic Chicken Fillet Sandwich. This sandwich has boneless fried chicken with mayonnaise and lettuce in perfect balance. However, be prepared to wait quite a bit after ordering at this restaurant.

Met up with a friend at this place, which we sometimes visit because they offer cheap coupons for coffee (only 100 yen). I was a bit hungry so I decided to try the Red Hot Chicken Sandwich. I usually don't mind the Red Hot Chicken on its own, but in a burger, it's just okay. The portion was a bit small as well. Maybe KFC isn't known for their burgers, so it's understandable. I should have gone with the Twister instead. (By the way, I remember visiting a KFC in China once, and there the burgers were more prominent, like McDonald's style. It was surprising to see how different the same chain can be in different countries or regions. The burgers at that KFC weren't bad in taste though...) Previous review: This KFC in Hachiken has a drive-thru and I visited after a long time. The glass partition between the smoking and non-smoking sections on the second floor has made it much more comfortable (previously, the non-smoking section was surrounded by smoking section and the smoke would directly come in, which was the worst). This time, I tried the Red Hot Jalapeño Boneless. It wasn't as spicy as the Habanero Boneless I had before, but it had a strong acidity. Personally, I might prefer the straightforward spiciness of the Habanero Boneless.

Occasionally, I get a craving for KFC, so I decided to visit this drive-thru that I used to frequent. It had been almost 10 years since my last visit. The last time I went, my chicken was missing from the set, but the staff was very accommodating and gave me extra items. However, I ended up not going back after that. I think it was because I moved and the location was too far. This time, I bought a set with 4 pieces of original chicken and 2 pieces of fried fish. The fried fish had a strong disinfectant-like smell, but the original chicken was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. However, it was quite greasy, and my hands felt sticky after eating. This is where a friend of mine worked part-time during high school. On holidays, there are always long lines at Kentucky. It had been a while since I last bought something here, but I felt like having it today. I decided to get the Pepper Twister and Chicken Leg with Potato set (500 yen) using a coupon. However, when I tried to pick up my order using the coupon number, I was given the wrong items. It seems like there was a misunderstanding with the order number. After causing a bit of inconvenience to those behind me, I waited for the correct order. Once I got home and took a bite of the chicken with a beer, it was delicious as always. The Juicy Twister lacked the crispy skin that makes it special. The potato was perfectly crispy and tasty. In the end, Kentucky Fried Chicken is all about the chicken and the potato!

I used to crave it occasionally, but ever since I started using I dining at Sapporo Station, my visits have decreased. I don't have any photos, sorry! [Fried Salmon] I forgot the price, but it's a limited-time salmon fry dish. It's delicious when dipped in grated ponzu sauce. The previous shrimp dish was also tasty, so maybe seafood items at KFC are a hit? [Twister Pepper Mayo] It's been a while since I had the Twister. The crispy lettuce and tomato mixed with mayonnaise is delicious. But I can't help comparing it to how it used to be. It used to be so big that it would fill me up on its own. Thinking about that makes me feel a bit disappointed. It's unavoidable though!

I went by car because it seemed like there was a parking lot, but I couldn't find where it was. The security guard outside guided me into the drive-thru unexpectedly, and luckily I had already decided what to order. I ordered three sets of two original chicken pieces and three nuggets each. Of course, I used a coupon from the KFC app, so the total cost was reduced from 740 yen to 590 yen. I didn't have to wait long for my order, and I headed home. I enjoyed a solo drinking session with canned beer, using the fried chicken as a snack. It was delicious while still warm. The nuggets were not that important to me, but they helped fill me up a bit.
