If you look closely, it looks like a smiling face with a Nico-chan mark. This cream bread has become my number one choice so far! Coming from the era when a cream bread cost 70 yen, 238 yen feels quite expensive to me, but the slightly pudding-like taste with cream is very much to my liking ❤️ Next time, I would like to buy various items including Milk France.

Before going to the beauty salon, I bought some snacks at "Ferme Tail Biei". I usually buy souvenirs, so this time I bought pastries for myself - a bread or a cake. I have only bought the butter cheese sandwich before. This time, I bought two pastries - "Honey Bear" and "Cacao no Hana". "Honey Bear" is a madeleine in the shape of a bear, with honey jelly inside. It is moist and has a lemon flavor. "Cacao no Hana" is a chocolate madeleine and chocolate sablé with chocolate cream sandwiched in between. The cream is bitter with a hint of acidity. There are other items that caught my eye, so I think I'll slowly try to conquer them one by one.

I look for souvenirs for my family at the Marui Imai department store's basement. There are many options like Royce, Kinotoya, Morozoff, and oh, the bakery where my partner bought delicious treats before, no, the real deal is this confectionery shop, known for their butter cheese sand! There are many types of butter cheese sand in the showcase! I ask the sister for recommendations for four types for my family. She recommends the refrigerated ones. First, the classic Double Cheese, then Acacia Honey and Apple, Raw Chocolate and Chocolate Chip (each 405 yen), and finally, the limited edition Amaou Jersey Milk for 454 yen. I try them as recommended. When I get home and take out the souvenir bag, my family cheers, how delightful. The ladies share them all and say they are delicious! Even though I'm trying to cut back on sweets, I taste the Amaou Jersey Milk. Despite its appearance and the name "butter," I thought it would be too sweet or heavy, but it's actually subtly sweet, light, and delicious! My family also loved it, asking where I got it and saying it's super tasty, a big hit lately, and really good! The cost performance is a bit iffy, but my family insists on buying it again, saying they'll definitely get it next time. It was delicious. Thank you!

I purchased a trial of two flavors, Haskap and White Chocolate, and Amaou Strawberry Jersey Milk. They need to be kept refrigerated as they have a short shelf life. The Haskap flavor has a slight tartness that pairs perfectly with cream cheese. I also enjoyed the Dry Cranberry, Strawberry Puree, and Mascarpone flavors.

While running errands, I also bought a butter cheese sandwich from "Ferme La Terre Biei". I realized that I prefer the cookies at room temperature rather than refrigerated, so I bought the room temperature ones again this time. The "Roasted Nuts" sandwich has a crispy cookie with almond cream filling and sliced almonds on top, giving off a delicious almond aroma with a hint of cheese saltiness. The "Double Chocolate" sandwich has a chocolate-flavored cookie with chocolate cream filling, and it gives a stronger cheese flavor, similar to Camembert. They also have a limited-time Christmas version with "Strawberry and Matcha" flavors. I would love to visit the café at the Biei store someday.

When I went to Biei the other day, I forgot to buy bread from this shop! Luckily, there is a shop on the 2nd floor of Marui Imai, so I went to buy it today. I'm looking forward to enjoying the number one popular milk bread and the second popular cream bread.

I finally had the chance to try the "Butter Cheese Sand" from "Frum La Tail" that I had been curious about for a while. It was a generous nine-piece set, with flavors like "Double Cheese x2, Chocolate Chip and Chocolate x2, Acacia Honey and Apple, Matcha and Black Soybean, Rhubarb and Wild Strawberry, Haskap and White Chocolate, Brandy Chestnut". My husband and I couldn't finish all nine pieces, so we shared with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild. I personally tried the Double Cheese, Brandy Chestnut, Rhubarb and Wild Strawberry, and Chocolate Chip and Chocolate. The overall sweetness was quite mild. The Double Cheese was so rich that half a piece was satisfying, and it would pair well with black tea, whiskey, or wine. My favorite was the Rhubarb and Wild Strawberry, where the acidity of the strawberries complemented the butter and cheese flavors. The Chocolate Chip and Chocolate could have been a bit more chocolatey. Overall, it was a delightful treat.

This is a shop that focuses on using ingredients such as wheat from Hokkaido, Jersey milk from Biei, rice flour Yumepirika from Hokkaido, and white birch sap. I plan to have breakfast in the car, so I chose something easy to eat.
- Jersey Milk Bread (130 yen + tax): It is the most popular item, but the milk flavor was not as strong as expected. The texture is soft and gentle.
- Bean Bread (185 yen + tax): This is the third most popular item. I took it home and reheated it. It was not very sweet, had a fluffy and moist texture, and a good flavor. This was the best out of the three I purchased.
- Baguette Fleur de Brin (260 yen + tax): I tried a hard type of bread. It is a bit more expensive because it uses original wheat "Biei no Kaze" and Hokkaido butter. However, it had a slightly burnt taste and lacked any special flavor or deliciousness. It was a bit tough to eat.
[Overall Impression]: The concept of the shop is great, so I would like to revisit after some time. Thank you for the meal!

My partner bought breakfast bread from a pastry shop in Biei. I usually stop by Marui Imai's depachika, but I didn't know about this place before. They said the most popular bread is the Jersey milk bread, but I tried the corn bread which was delicious. When lightly toasted, the sweet aroma of corn fills the air. It was really tasty! Thank you for the meal! Reading the reviews of Myrebi, the sweets also seem delicious. The butter cheese sandwich is famous. I try to avoid sweet things myself, but I will definitely stop by next time to buy some as souvenirs for my family.

On July 12, 2022, last month, the feedback for the snack I brought as a gift, "Chocolat Lang Sunflower Hill," was excellent. So, I decided to buy it again and brought it in a cooler box to give away. I also bought some for myself. The "Daichi no Purin U・O・RE" is made with Jersey milk from Chiyoda Farm in Biei, Hokkaido eggs, organic sugar, and vanilla beans. The soft and creamy pudding has a smooth texture. It has a rich flavor, possibly due to the Jersey milk, and is delicious enough to make you nod in agreement. The pudding can be easily scooped out of the glass jar, and the spoon shape is also well-designed. Of course, there is organic sugar caramel sauce at the bottom, which complements the simple taste of the pudding. This pudding needs to be refrigerated, but there are also baked goods that can be stored at room temperature. The traditional wrapping paper is nice for special occasions, but I think this snack would also make a great gift. People will be impressed and say, "Wow!"

After enjoying delicious curry, the next destination was "Feuille Maternelle," located in Mitsukoshi. The next shop I visited became a milestone in all the shops I have visited in Sapporo, so I chose a take-out shop for adjustment. I could have forced the curry shop to be the milestone, but then I might not be able to have dinner or the amount of luggage would be ridiculous, haha.
Chosen items:
- Jersey Milk Bread (¥141)
- Cheese Melon Bread (¥260)
Jersey Milk Bread:
Made with milk from grazing cows in Biei Town, is that good milk bread? The milk bread has a light flavor that is impressive. The surface is soft to the touch, but when you bite into it, it is fluffy. If you enjoy it as a bread that does not try to be fancy, but instead brings out the taste of the ingredients as they are and keeps the sweetness in check, it is delicious enough.
Cheese Melon Bread:
I was torn between this and cream bread, haha. The surface is not crispy but moist, so I thought it might be better not to reheat it... but that's not the case. The melon aroma wafting from the toaster, along with the warmth, increases the appetite! The texture also evolves to crispy! The butter flavor intertwined with the cookie crust on the surface is fragrant, and the cheese cream inside is subtly sweet, allowing the taste of the bread to come through clearly, which is nice. Speaking of Feuille Maternelle, they have a butter cheese sandwich, so I'll keep that in mind for next time. It's expensive, but I'm also curious about the bread! Thank you for the meal.

This is a gift I received, "Ferm La Taille Biei" Milk Sand. It's a very popular item at Hokkaido product fairs held in various places, with reports of it selling out quickly. I have tried it once before, and this time I feel like the chocolate sweetness is more dominant than before. It still lacks a strong milk flavor, as always. It is delicious, but I personally don't feel like it has the exceptional quality to be called a monster product. Thank you for the meal.

While shopping at Marui, I stumbled upon a pastry shop called La Taille in the underground specialty store area. I had received a souvenir from a friend before and had been curious about it. I decided to buy the popular "Jersey Milk Bread" for 141 yen. The bread is made with rich and milky Jersey milk from natural pasture-raised cows in Biei, using 100% Biei-grown wheat flour instead of water. Despite imagining a sweet bread, it turned out to have just a hint of sweetness when chewed, with the milk flavor not very noticeable. I also tried the "Himawari no Oka" baked confection, which consists of a light langues de chat cookie with a light chocolate cream and chocolate layers, with a gooey caramel sauce in the middle. It was delicious. The new baked confections also looked tempting, so I plan to visit La Taille again to buy something. Thank you, La Taille!

I've been curious about this butter sandwich for a while, but when I took a closer look, I realized it's actually a butter cheese sandwich! I was planning to write a review and took a picture, but only noticed the cheese part when I looked closely haha. I thought the butter flavor was weak, and it turns out there are different creams used in the room temperature and refrigerated versions (the one with refrigeration uses 3 cookies). I was recommended to try the refrigerated one first if possible, so I'll follow the advice. The Acacia honey and apple pie from HONDA are famous for their apple pie, and this sweet reminded me of an apple butter sandwich. It had a milky and smooth texture, with no noticeable honey flavor. The apples were crunchy and cut into small pieces. The double cheese sandwich had a strong cheese flavor, more like eating a slightly firm cheese cream sandwich than a butter sandwich. It felt like eating a rare cheesecake with a tart crust at the bottom. The chocolate and chocolate chip sandwich had a chocolate-flavored cheese cream-like taste, which left me wanting more as a chocolate lover. The crunchy texture of the chocolate chips was nice. Overall, these butter cheese sandwiches are not too heavy and easy to eat, making them a great gift, but considering cost-effectiveness, I probably won't repurchase them.

Address: Marui Imai Sapporo main store, Odori Building B1F, Minami 1-jo Nishi 2-11, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. Located in the underground food section of Marui Imai department store in the Odori area of Sapporo, this bakery called "Mugi to Raku" run by Fermier Biei is known for its high-quality bread made with Hokkaido ingredients. I heard great things about their delicious bread and decided to try it out. I visited on a weekday around 6:30 PM, but unfortunately, the popular items were already sold out. I ended up purchasing a couple of other items that caught my eye. The most popular item, the Jersey Milk Bread, is made with wheat from Biei and natural pasture-raised Jersey milk from Biei. I tried it the next day and it was incredibly soft, moist, and delicious with a hint of saltiness and milk flavor. It was perfect even without toasting and butter. The "Cream Pan that Brings Happiness" was the second most popular item, with a cute face drawn on the bun. When I split it in half and tasted the custard cream made with Biei's Jersey milk, it truly brought a smile to my face. The name of the product is not an exaggeration, as it really does bring happiness. It seems like you need to arrive early to get your hands on their high-quality bread.

At "Ferm La Taille Biei," I bought scones - "Plain Scone" and "Chocolate Scone." The scones have a crispy outer layer and a fluffy inside. The Plain Scone has a subtle sweetness, perfect for spreading your favorite spread on top. The Chocolate Scone is filled with chunks of bitter chocolate, making it delicious. However, these two scones have a price difference of about 100 yen. Whether you see this as expensive or cheap is up to you.

Small bakery with a happy cream bun that caught my eye. The softness of the bread and the delicious cream filling were amazing! It's a really tasty cream bun that surprised me. It must be a bakery with real skills to be in the department store basement. The croissant I bought with it was crispy and fluffy, with a great texture. The melon bread had cheese cream inside, which was unusual. I will definitely buy the cream bun again! I would like to try other breads as well.

"I bought bread at 'Fermier Terre Biei'. At this time of year, all the bread was sold in plastic bags. The 'Milk France' is a soft French bread with a sweet and crispy cream filling, perfect for a snack. The 'Whole Hokkaido Jersey Milk Bread' is very fluffy and moist, and tastes delicious with anything. The 'Baked Curry Bread' has a spicy aroma, with a moderate level of spiciness and whole beans inside. The bread is chewy. The 'Happiness-Bringing Cream Bread' looked normal when I bought it, but when the eyes came off and it became wrinkled, it turned into a monster-like appearance. Originally, it was supposed to be like this: a chewy bread with a fluffy custard cream filling that is exquisite. The 'Vanilla Scone' and 'Chocolate Scone' are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The 'Vanilla Scone' has a hint of saltiness, with a good balance of sweetness and saltiness. It is delicious even without anything added. The 'Chocolate Scone' has a lot of chocolate, with a bitter and slightly acidic flavor. Next time, I will buy it even with buttercream sandwiched. This is not my first visit. I have bought bread and pastries before, but they didn't leave a strong impression. This time, I aimed for the "Hokkaido Gochisou Butter Cheese Sandwich". The name sounds delicious, doesn't it? It costs 300 yen each, excluding tax. After much deliberation, I chose four: "Double Cheese", "Rhubarb and Strawberry", "Haskap and White Chocolate", and "Acacia Honey and Apple". Oh man, they are delicious! I thought they might be too rich because of the butter, but no, eating all four at once would be too much. They are super tasty! The cream melts in your mouth, with a perfect balance of richness and freshness from the butter and flavors. They were all delicious, but if I had to choose one, maybe "Haskap and White Chocolate"! The refreshing taste of Haskap and the crunchy texture of the White Chocolate go well together! I will try different flavors next time. Fermier Latteur Biei can be found in Biei and even in Tokyo. I bought a similar butter sandwich from "Mels", a "limited time pop-up from Tokyo!" at Daimaru, and thought, "Hmm, this tastes like Fermier Latteur", only to find out they are from the same group, and even have the same manufacturer! No wonder they taste the same! It's funny how I thought it was a shop only found in Tokyo, but turns out it's like this. I'll share more later!
