I had three meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, I had fried eggs and bacon for 300 yen, salad for 200 yen, natto for 100 yen, and bread for 100 yen. For lunch, I had Niigata-style pork cutlet bowl for 900 yen. For dinner, I had salad for 200 yen, pork cutlet with egg for 300 yen, mapo tofu for 300 yen, corn with butter for 300 yen, and watermelon for 200 yen. It was delicious.

I had beef curry for lunch and harami yakiniku with rice and miso soup for dinner on the New Japan Sea Ferry. The restaurant is located inside the Ferry Akashia, which connects Hokkaido with Akita, Niigata, and Wakasa. I enjoyed my meals during both lunch and dinner time. The ferry journey from Maizuru to Otaru takes about 20 hours, departing late at night and arriving at the destination in the evening. The restaurant is cafeteria-style, where you pick dishes from the displayed plates. The lunch menu includes ramen, rice bowls, omurice, curry, sashimi, tofu, and beer. There were also Hokkaido specialties like soup curry and seafood dishes. The beef curry had a normal taste, meeting my expectations. For dinner, there were options like fried fish with vegetable sauce, beef stew, and hamburger steak. The view from the windows on a sunny day was fantastic, and the ship's movement was hardly felt. The restaurant is located near the stern, with an exit to the deck nearby. Note that the restaurant is open for only one hour during both lunch and dinner, making meal times very punctual.
