[Takeout] Sazae Food, famous for "Tokachi Ohagi," is a shop with over 50 years of history that was founded in Hokkaido and is now expanding to Tohoku and Kanto regions, including department stores and supermarkets. Originally started by the founder, Tomi Nomura, at the Hakodate morning market! Although their expansion to the Tokyo area did not go well, they seem to have had some difficulties, so I hope they continue to thrive in Hokkaido. This shop is located on the first floor of the Sazae supermarket at the Nisshimachi store along the old Route 5 in Nishi Ward, Sapporo. The location of the Nisshimachi store is about 100 meters west of the intersection of Teine-Samata-dori and Sapporo Chushin direction, along Prefectural Route 124 (Miyanosawa Kita 1-jo Line (old Route 5)) from the Kotoni Hassamu River.
Visited for the first time at 2 pm on March 5, 2022, after having soup curry at Mohan Dish. After shopping at the 100-yen store and drinking coffee, I headed to the Sazae store. While browsing the items in front of the store, the staff didn't come out from the back. Even when I lightly called out, they didn't come out from the back. Finally, they came out after other customers started browsing (laughs). I felt a bit uneasy, so I didn't buy too much. I bought something like 4 pieces of flavored dumplings for 86 yen. It took quite some time from buying to eating at home, so they were a bit cold, but that's understandable.
Recommended points: Enjoy four flavors in one stick - red bean paste, black sesame, whole bean paste, and soy sauce. I find the sweetness to be slightly strong, so one stick is satisfying enough for me. Sazae is often found as a tenant in supermarkets, and I use it frequently. Although I haven't posted any reviews before, I like their ohagi, bekomochi, and dumplings, so I'll try to post more reviews in the future.
