I had never visited the legendary Elm Mansion, but I had been to the old Elm Garden several times. The name "sansou" is said to be a tribute to the legend of Elm Mansion. Sansou is located in a separate building from Elm Garden, and the menu, prices, and service are all different. Despite visiting shortly after its renovation, the food and service were consistently satisfying, showing a high level of quality that must have been built up over time. The head chef, Komatsu, personally handles everything from preparing to finishing the menu, putting his heart and soul into his work. Like a chef at a grand maison, he has a talent for scanning customers' tastes and fitting them to their preferred flavors. I highly recommend visiting sansou for a special dining experience.
