I went to use the PayPay coupon for this month. I didn't want to miss out on the half-price discount of up to ¥400, so I decided to go. I didn't feel like sitting alone and having coffee with donuts, so I chose to get takeout instead. I picked out some typical items, about two of each, and brought them home. I had a Honey Dip donut while drinking coffee. It had been a while since I last had one, so it tasted pretty good. I don't usually eat donuts unless it's a special occasion, so I felt like I was given a good opportunity to enjoy them.

On this day, I stopped by Mister Donut at Nishimachi AEON Mall for a snack after lunch. The store itself is a bit small, so they have fewer items compared to other locations. However, I wanted to buy some pies, so it was okay! I purchased the Shrimp Gratin Pie and Cheese Meat Pie. The Shrimp Gratin Pie was new to me, so I was looking forward to trying it, but the filling was too little. It had a hint of gratin flavor, but it felt like eating a pie crust with gratin taste. Well, it's Mister Donut, so I shouldn't expect too much in terms of quality.

Did I upset you somehow? I was told to "hit my head on the corner of a donut and die"! I got so angry that I thought, "Oh, I'll show you!" But when I tried to do it, I realized that this donut doesn't even have corners! I used to dislike Mister Donut because their chocolate isn't tasty. This donut doesn't seem to have a delicious base either. I cut it in half and found cream inside. It's soft and not too sweet. The cream isn't too sweet either, and the chocolate on top is just a little bit. It's not bad at all. I could eat this donut again, but I wouldn't buy it myself.

This time, I bought the collaboration "Pon de Yoroizuka" with Chef Toshihiko Yoroizuka because they really wanted to try it. The donut was delicious with caramel whip sandwiched and pistachios on top, giving it a luxurious feel.

This is the West Machi in the West District. I took a break during my walk because I got thirsty. I stopped by a small food court inside the Seiyu Nishimachi store. There are a few shops there, and when I looked for a drink, I thought maybe Mister Donut? As I approached Mister Donut, I saw they were running a Halloween promotion, encouraging people to try their donuts! I couldn't resist, so I ordered the Black Jack Lantern Donut Masked Gentle for 183 yen and the Mummy Coffee with Ice Cream for 226 yen! The names are a bit long, huh? I sat down and tried them. The Masked Gentle donut was not too sweet and really delicious! The coffee had sweet cream on top that wouldn't melt easily, so I ended up eating some with a straw. When the bitter and sweet flavors mixed just right, it was gone in no time! It was a nice break. Now, time to walk again! Thank you for the meal!

The chocolate fashion sakura has a subtle sakura mochi-like flavor, and the slightly pink color is cute.

In the middle of shopping at Seiyu in Nishi-machi, it seemed like a long battle was ahead. As hunger and thirst struck, it was time for a break to grab something to eat or drink. I decided to just have a hot coffee. The staff, who seemed to be students, showed a hidden kindness that I could feel when interacting with them. The coffee took 5 minutes to be served, and I had some hope that it would be fairly tasty. The first sip was sharp and bitter, with a plastic-like taste...hmm! The second sip surprisingly tasted better. However, just as I started to enjoy the clear type of coffee, the occasional appearance of acidity was fine, but the coming together of astringency and bitterness that occasionally showed its fangs was a bit off-putting. It was an inexpensive coffee, and the quality matched that. Perhaps the issue also lies in the quality of the plastic cup... 【Second Post】September 2014 - This summer, I tried Mister Donut's "Cotton Snow Candy" which was newly released on June 25th this year. There are five flavors available, and I chose the "Mango" flavor. The Cotton Snow Candy has a texture similar to finely shaved milk candy. It comes in a transparent parfait glass-shaped plastic container with a decent amount. It tastes more like milk candy than ice cream, similar to shaved ice. It is quite sweet. The mango sauce contains lots of fruit pieces and has a good balance of sweetness and acidity. The price is 561 yen (including 8% consumption tax). Overall, the Cotton Snow Candy has a decent melt-in-your-mouth texture with a slightly sweet milk candy flavor. Personally, I prefer the "Charmy Snow Ice" from Taiwan, which has a much better melt-in-your-mouth texture similar to "Shaved Ice." However, the availability of Charmy Snow Ice is limited in Sapporo compared to Mister Donut, which has many convenient locations. Please check the exact location on Tabelog. I used to frequent Mister Donut quite a bit in the past, but now I only visit occasionally. Nowadays, they have a point card system, but in the past, they had a system where you rub a 10 yen coin for points to get prizes. I remember feeling compelled to buy more to reach one or two points. Now I mainly buy on discount days and rarely at regular prices. The store had a discount service according to the POP. It sounded very appealing. They offered half-price on specific items on different days. On this Tuesday, they had the Angel French. I bought three and sat at the food court table. It was a weekday, so there were plenty of empty seats. The most expensive item on discount was the Angel French on Tuesdays. Other days had cheaper items on half-price. The Angel French is a favorite of mine at Mister Donut. Lucky! I bought three for 73 yen each. The combination of chocolate and cream is delicious. I always aim for half-price days for my favorite items. Mister Donut is a place where you can occasionally find good deals. Delicious, thank you. I bought a drink from another store.

I was tempted by the 100 yen donuts and 120 yen pies and ended up buying them. I also bought 10 limited edition items including Calpis Star Donuts (soda, strawberry), Pon de Ring (soda), and French soda for 1000 yen. The Calpis soda flavors were like a mix of Calpis and Gari Gari-kun soda, sweet but refreshing. It's a good choice for a slightly sweet energy boost to combat summer fatigue. The shop is located in the food court of Seiyu, with plenty of seating available to enjoy your treats leisurely.

I went shopping at Seiyu and when I entered, I saw a variety of food around the eat-in space. I wanted to relax, but it was surprisingly cold near the entrance so I couldn't stay long. I took advantage of the 100 yen sale and bought a few items in bulk. Of course, among them was my favorite "French cruller." I have recently started to enjoy Pon-de-ring style sweets, but I have trouble finding a flavor that I like. This shop is a place where you can relax, but my family usually buys treats here to eat at home. I wonder how patient you have to be to relax here... I'm not that patient.

On a certain day in January 2017, I casually mentioned that I wanted to eat donuts, and my friend said, "I want to try the new ones." I wondered if they had new flavors out. So, on our way back from shopping, we decided to stop by Mister Donut. We ended up buying about 6 donuts, including the new "Chocolat Danish." They looked delicious, so we decided to have them as a snack. We tried the new flavors first, and they were really good. My friend had the regular one, while I had the "Chocolat Danish Whip." The donuts were crispy and airy, which was great. We wondered why they hadn't been available before. Maybe they were just re-released? Overall, it was a satisfying meal at Mister Donut. Thank you!
