I visited a Shatoreze sweets shop after going to a croquette factory outlet in the evening on a holiday. Lately, I have been enjoying trying out various Shatoreze sweets, so I decided to stop by. Upon entering the shop, I was surrounded by a variety of Japanese and Western sweets, and I chose some that I hadn't tried before. I purchased the following items: - Bitter Chocolate: This chocolate contains 41% Ghana cacao, giving it a bitter taste. However, what stood out to me was the unexpected acidity within the bitterness, which was a bit distracting. Upon checking the ingredients on the back of the box, I found out that it contained lemon juice. While citrus and chocolate usually go well together, this combination felt a bit off to me. - Dorayaki (Chestnut): This dorayaki consists of moist dough filled with chestnut paste, along with small pieces of chestnut. This provided a nice chestnut flavor and texture, making it enjoyable. - Financier: This financier had a soft texture, but lacked the crispy outer layer that I was hoping for. The surface was also a bit sticky, which was disappointing. - Fluffy Moon (Chocolate): This dessert featured cocoa-infused dough filled with chocolate and chocolate custard. It had a good balance of sweetness and bitterness, with a smooth cream filling. Overall, Shatoreze offers affordable and convenient sweets, making it a great option for satisfying your sweet tooth.

It was a long time since I last visited Shatoreze (or was it...? haha). It was during the Higan period, so there were many Japanese sweets. ・Kusa mochi By the way, Shatoreze has a strong mugwort flavor. I love this one because the mochi is soft and has a strong mugwort taste. I wish they sold it all year round! ・Zunda mochi There is a lot of zunda paste on it, and the sweetness is just right! The mochi is more like a firm dango. Zunda is not something you see often... I want to go back for more! ・Squeezed Milk Bar (Coffee) I thought it would be a sweet coffee milk flavor, but I could also taste the charcoal flavor. It was a refreshing and authentic taste, like a cafe latte you would get at a coffee shop. This one is also delicious! ・Dorayaki (Chestnut) The dorayaki's skin is quite thick, so it's less sweet and has a gentle chestnut flavor compared to the sweet chestnut paste. The dough is more prominent. ・Financier Even as it is, it has a nutty flavor and is moist. I bought this and tried reheating it at home, and while the moistness and sweetness increased, it didn't have the crispy exterior or buttery taste. I do prefer it reheated, but it's still good to eat as is. There were many things I wanted to go back for this time at Shatoreze. It's so enjoyable! Thank you, Wu-ta! (((orz

I went shopping at the Hokuren shop in Shin-Hatsukoi, where there is a Chateraise store. I peeked inside and they are having a strawberry fair. I had to buy something from there! I ended up buying the strawberry cream anmitsu for 300 yen. It's snack time at home! The inside looks like this... It's a bit tricky to arrange it nicely, but I managed somehow. It's delicious with the combination of whipped cream, red bean paste, strawberry jam, and black honey. It may look rich, but Japanese sweets are surprisingly light. I finished it off with a slightly tangy strawberry. It was a delicious treat! The strawberry fair is still going on, so I'll be getting a different strawberry dessert next time.

I had heard of Shatoreze before, but since there wasn't one near my house, I didn't know much about what they sold. After hearing my junior colleague talk about Choco Bakki, I decided to visit the store. I was surprised by the low prices. The pricing was so affordable that I wondered why I had been buying from convenience stores all this time. I realized that the popularity was not just because of the price, but also because of the delicious taste after I brought it home and tried it. There were different varieties of Choco Bakki, so I was unsure of what to buy. As a fan of mint chocolate, I couldn't resist trying the chocolate mint and vanilla flavors. The chocolate mint flavor was quite tasty, and now I keep it stocked in my freezer.

When it gets hot, my symptoms worsen, as I have a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is no medication that suits me yet. This review is based on my condition and consultation. Likes and comments may be delayed, so thank you for your understanding. In August 2019, this is my third review, so I'll keep it light. Shatoreze is a nationwide chain of Japanese and Western confectionery stores. They also manage golf courses, ski resorts, and hotels. In Hokkaido, they acquired the former Terme Sapporo resort hotel and operate it as "Shatoreze Gato Kingdom Sapporo," making them quite famous. There are about 30 stores in Hokkaido, with around 10 in Sapporo. In the past, there used to be a Shatoreze store near Hotel Royton Sapporo in Chuo Ward. After it closed, there were no stores in the area for about 20 years. This meant that residents of Chuo Ward had to go to the suburbs to visit Shatoreze. In September 2017, a store finally reopened in Chuo Ward. Inside the store, there is a variety of affordable Japanese and Western confectionery. I also tried the expensive ramen at the "Shodai" within the same Hokuren Shop Shinpokan store. I had the hot ramen in the sweltering store, causing me to sweat profusely. Due to the high price, only my wallet remained cold and lonely. (laughs) To stop the sweating, I decided to cool down from the inside with some cold ice cream. I bought the "Dessert Ice Cream - Creamy Style" in white peach and strawberry flavors. I enjoyed them at the supermarket's eat-in corner. The base of the Dessert Ice Cream - Creamy Style is creamy crushed ice cream. It's creamy, easy to eat, and not too hard. It has a fluffy and crispy texture, offering a new sensation of ice cream. Strawberry from Yamanashi Prefecture White peach Yogurt flavor Price: 129 yen each (tax included) 226 yen for 2 (tax included) (113 yen per piece) The Dessert Ice Cream - Creamy Style is a new sensation of ice cream that is fluffy and crispy. It's soft and not too hard, making it easy to eat. It's truly creamy and has a fruity deliciousness. While it's 129 yen per piece, it's a better deal at 2 for 226 yen. I successfully managed to stop the sweating. Indeed, the supermarket's eat-in space is very convenient. It's cool, so there were even customers sleeping there. (laughs) Next time, I might bring my own empty bottle and try the barrel wine. It was delicious, thank you.

It's a new year and I visited Shatoreze, which is part of Hokuren. I was tasked with buying an appropriate amount of sweets for the Buddhist altar offerings. I also searched for a restaurant on Tabelog that I haven't reviewed yet. Oh, I haven't written about this store yet. Even though I thought I had bought it, I didn't realize it because I didn't buy it myself. The sweets at Shatoreze are still cheap. I have to choose something with a long expiration date for the offerings. Also, since we will eventually eat it ourselves, it has to look delicious. And I have to consider the shape and balance as well, so it's a difficult mission. If even one thing doesn't meet the requirements, I have to be prepared to be scolded, so it's stressful! Haha, I managed to complete the mission. After a week of offering, all that was left was the mango jelly in the fridge. That was close! If it had been one day later, it would have been an uneaten review. The mango jelly is cold and rich in juice, with a strong mango flavor. However, the mango flavor is a bit cheap. It's perfect for summer! The only downside is that when you open the lid, the jelly juice spills out a bit. Overall, it's a delicious jelly. Thank you for the meal!

▼Location▼ Located inside the Hokuren Shop Shin-Kotoni store, at the corner of the intersection of Shimoina Dori and Tsuifun Dori. ▼About the Shop▼ Shatoreze: Established in 1955 as a confectionery shop called Kantaro, later founded an ice cream company in 1964. In 1967, the two were merged to form the current company name, Shatoreze. It is now one of the largest Western confectionery chain stores with 500 stores nationwide. ▼Menu▼ They mainly offer cakes, Western confectionery, and ice cream. ▼Food Consumed▼ - Amazake Manju (10 pieces) for 120 yen (As of November 2017) A limited-time product for November. Small bite-sized manju with a firm texture, incorporating amazake in the dough and filled with smooth sweet bean paste. The amazake flavor is surprisingly strong, making it quite delicious. ▼Impressions▼ (As of November 2017) Shatoreze is one of the largest Western confectionery chain stores alongside Fujiya and Cozy Corner. Founded in Yamanashi, they have expanded to 500 stores nationwide, mainly focusing on roadside locations. The Shin-Kotoni store is a longstanding branch located inside the Hokuren Shop. Although the store is compact and offers a slightly limited selection compared to other in-store branches, I purchased the above-mentioned manju. The cute-sized manju, with amazake incorporated into the dough, has a delightful amazake flavor and is surprisingly delicious. The price is reasonable for each small piece, making it a good choice. Despite the limited selection at this branch, it is convenient to have such stores in supermarkets. I look forward to using it again in the future.

In May 2017, I visited the Shatoreze store located inside the Hokuren Shin-Hassamu store. They offer a variety of Western and Japanese sweets at reasonable prices. This time, I bought some Japanese sweets. The seared dumplings with bonito flakes had a nice aroma of the sea, and were generously topped with bonito flakes. The soy sauce dip had a flavorful dashi taste, and the bite-sized dumplings were easy to eat and delicious. The red bean paste bun had a moist and thin dough with black sugar, and used red beans from Hokkaido. The sweetness was mild, and the bite-sized buns were a delightful treat. Thank you for the meal. ✿ฺ(๑´ڡ`๑)✿ฺ.

Chatres is inexpensive and delicious. Their butter dorayaki is my favorite. When I first tried it, I realized that adding butter to dorayaki makes it taste so much better. The balance of sweetness in the red bean paste and the dough is just perfect. I bought the following items: Kasuo Mountain Butter Dorayaki for 129 yen, Salted Soybean Daifuku for 120 yen, and Karinto Manju for 86 yen. The butter dorayaki is delicious, but the daifuku's mochi is not great. The saltiness of the soybeans is nice though. The Karinto Manju has a crispy outer layer that is really tasty. The Chatres in Hokuren Supermarket may look plain, but don't worry, the food is great.

This is a review of Shatoreze's additive-free ice cream. It is made with milk gelato from Yatsugatake, which gives it a unique flavor with the addition of glucomannan and mochi flour. The aftertaste was refreshing, yet it had a rich and creamy texture which I really enjoyed. During the Obon season, where many people were making purchases in the thousands of yen, I felt a bit neglected when I only bought ice cream (^_^;) However, it wasn't a big deal. When I asked for a spoon, they only gave me one for the pudding, but when I asked for another one, they quickly handed me two. It was more like ice cream than delicious gelato, but good service is important too. ☆☆☆ Coming Soon ☆☆☆ If I have the chance, I will definitely buy it again.

Takeout available: Shatoreze specializes in making and selling Japanese and Western sweets, ice cream, and bread. It all started with a snack called "Kantaro," similar to Imagawayaki, which was originally sold in Yamagata Prefecture. As of February 2015, there are 24 stores in Hokkaido. This particular Shatoreze store in Shin-hassamu is located at the intersection of Shimoina-dori and Oiwake-dori in Teine-ku, Sapporo. I visited the store again on February 13, 2015, at 8:00 PM, and bought a pure dorayaki for breakfast the next morning. It cost 108 yen and is made with Hokkaido cream. The taste is okay, not buttery but margarine cream-flavored. The Tokachi red beans provide a perfect balance of sweetness. The combination of cream and red bean paste is delicious!

【Second Post】March 2014 It's my second visit, so it's been a while since I last visited. My usual companion spotted a cute cake and took charge of the purchase. - Happy Animal Panda Cake Bottom: Cocoa-flavored sponge cake Middle: Banana-flavored mousse Outer layer: Whipped cream - Bunny Cake Bottom: Sponge cake Middle: Mousse Outer layer: Pink cream with a few fruits Price: 210 yen each - Thick-cut Premium Roll Cake with Amaou Strawberries Thick slices of roll cake with plenty of cream. The cream is not too sweet, which is nice. Half of an Amaou strawberry is included. Price: 168 yen The "Happy Animal" cakes are very cute! I wonder if there are more varieties. I would be interested in trying different ones if they exist. My usual companion seems very excited (laughs). Despite being affordable, we can enjoy ourselves at this Shatoreze, which is for us common folks. 【First Post】March 2012 Shatoreze is a nationwide chain of affordable Japanese and Western confectionery stores, affiliated with Gâteau Kingdom. They also operate golf courses, ski resorts, and hotels. In Hokkaido, they acquired the former Hotel Terme Sapporo and run "Shatoreze Gâteau Kingdom Sapporo," which is well-known. There are about 30 Shatoreze stores in Hokkaido, with 10 in Sapporo. Currently, there are no stores in Chuo Ward. There used to be one near Hotel Royton Sapporo, but when I visited recently, the store was gone. Therefore, it's been a while since I last visited Shatoreze. This store is located in the Hokuren Shin-hassamu store on Shimohassamu Street in Teine Ward, Sapporo. For detailed location information, please check on Tabelog. The store is inside the Hokuren Shin-hassamu supermarket. It's a small Shatoreze store, focusing on Japanese and Western confectionery, with a limited selection of their popular ice creams. They offer a variety of affordable Japanese and Western confectionery. I bought a few items. - Fluffy Roll Cake Made with Yatsugatake Ranch milk. It's a chocolate sponge cake rolled with two types of cream: chocolate whipped cream and chocolate custard cream. Approximately 1100 calories. It's not overly rich, making it easy to eat. Priced at 399 yen, it's a steal. It's the perfect everyday roll cake. - Strawberry Daifuku The outer layer is more like a soft mochi than fluffy, closer to gyuhiki. The strawberries inside are small. Price: 105 yen. It's very affordable for a strawberry daifuku. - Baked Goods: Madeleines and Financiers Average taste for each priced at 105 yen. The taste is very satisfying considering the price. It's a great store for everyday use. Especially the 399 yen roll cake is a delight. There are roll cakes priced over 1000 yen with a taste that doesn't match. I hope Shatoreze will make a comeback in Chuo Ward. Thank you for the delicious treats. When I visited for the second time, they introduced me to a store that had many of the sold-out items from this store. I will review that store later.

At work, I received a gift from a business partner recently, and it's been a streak of dorayaki. There are 5 different kinds in the assortment, and I chose the "Butter Dorayaki." The skin has a cute tiger pattern, and when I chilled it in the fridge, it was delicious. The bean paste is not too sweet, with plenty of butter around it. I usually like the reasonable prices and mild sweetness of Shatoreze, but this was my first time trying this and it was really tasty. The next day, someone who doesn't eat much gave me a "Black Honey Dorayaki" with Japanese brown sugar. It started off not too sweet, but towards the end, it felt a bit too sweet for me. Personally, I prefer the butter-filled one. I wanted to cheat and check the Shatoreze website for product descriptions, but due to the risk of personal information leakage, the website has been significantly abbreviated and lacks detailed information. Thank you for the treat.
