Zaby
Zaby, who always lacks material, wandered around the JR Yagen area on a Saturday with time to spare in search of material. The third place I headed to was "Maruyama Seimen Direct Sales Store," a special sales outlet for a noodle factory. The store is only open on Saturdays, so the bar is set a bit high... Finally, I was able to visit. As I entered through the entrance of a normal company, a conference table was placed in front of me with products lined up. The sales floor is a space where only one or two people can enter, and you have to change into slippers, which can be a bit bothersome if you are bundled up in winter gear. I arrived around 1:30 PM, and it seemed that sales were going well as there were few products available. The young employees of the noodle factory seemed to be explaining each product carefully. I purchased "High-water-content medium-thick curly noodles (3 packs, with soup) @390" and "Tsukemen (1 pack, with soup) @200." On the way back, I bought additional ingredients such as bean sprouts and bamboo shoots and headed home. The tsukemen came with a special soup made from dried sardines, and for the ramen, you could choose from four flavors, with this time choosing "soy sauce x2, miso x1." I started cooking as soon as I got home. The ingredients included bean sprouts, onions, bamboo shoots, green onions, pork belly chashu, and soft-boiled eggs. The soy sauce soup was moderately flavorful with a good dashi taste, but I adjusted the flavor a bit. The high-water-content medium-thick noodles were chewy and had a good texture, not too heavy, and had a good flavor. The tsukemen was delicious, and I will update after eating it. The specified cooking time was 4 minutes, and the noodles had a chewy and firm texture with a good wheat flavor. The accompanying soup was packed with dried sardine flavor. I was completely satisfied. Who needs to go to a place like "Jiro" when you have this? (I might get scolded for saying that haha) Thank you for the meal.
