【Second Post】May 2015
This is my second post, so I found a promising item. It's the store's original "Hokkai Matsumae pickles." I used it to make a seafood bowl at home with vinegared rice.
- Hokkai Matsumae Pickles (Store's original product)
- Frozen for preservation and naturally thawed
- 300g
- 8 ingredients: scallops (from Hokkaido), salmon roe (from Hokkaido), shrimp (from Russia), hokke fish (from Canada), squid (from Hokkaido), tobiko (from Russia), kazunoko, Matsumae pickles
The ingredients are lightly soaked in a non-salty Matsumae pickles broth, making it suitable for a seafood bowl. It has a light pickled flavor. The bottom of the container is covered with Matsumae pickles, so you can enjoy it even in a seafood bowl. Just wasabi is enough for the seafood bowl. The price is 2,700 yen (including 8% tax), but now it's only 1,620 yen (including 8% tax). The store's original "Hokkai Matsumae pickles" is a product that can be enjoyed in a seafood bowl. The seafood ingredients have a flavor more like marinated tuna than Matsumae pickles. Personally, I like the taste. It's very convenient to keep it in the freezer. You can enjoy a delicious seafood bowl whenever you want. Now is the time to buy it at 1,620 yen instead of 2,700 yen.
【First Post】January 2014
I had "Hokkai shrimp" for New Year's. Sapporo Asaichi Shokkobo is a shop with affordable prices that caters to the common people!
New Year's is centered around luxurious dishes and ingredients, marking the auspicious start of the year. It's a tradition to go shopping at the end of the year. Inside the Marugaku Wholesale Center's morning market, sushi restaurants and regular fish shops come to buy. Even famous sushi restaurants and conveyor belt sushi companies come. Due to the end of the year, there are many general customers. It's quite crowded. Normally, you can park your car in the parking lot in front of the building, but at the end of the year, general customers had to park a bit further away. As I passed by the "Sapporo Asaichi Shokkobo" shop, "Hokkai shrimp" and "Botan shrimp" were cheap. I stopped by the shop. This shop is located in the Enzan-Kuwan area of Sapporo Chuo-ku, inside the Marugaku Wholesale Center. Please check the exact location of the shop on Tabelog. Since it's inside the morning market, it opens at 5 am and closes at 11 am. There was a skilled saleswoman as usual. I wanted to buy the large size of "Hokkai shrimp." Normally, the "large" size is expensive, so I don't usually get it for everyday use. I usually get the medium size. I was also recommended to buy "Botan shrimp," but I had just bought some from the previous shop, so I only bought "Hokkai shrimp." In hindsight, it would have been better to buy both (laughs).
- Hokkai Shrimp
- When boiled, the entire shrimp turns a beautiful red color. It's not raw, but boiled for distribution. The meat is firm like crab. It's a beautiful and delicious shrimp. Approximately 20 pieces, 500g, 1,800 yen
"Hokkai shrimp" is indeed delicious. The texture is also good. The bright color is perfect for New Year's. 500g of large Hokkai shrimp is about half the market price. At the end of the year, it's even cheaper than half the market price!! At the end of 2012, I bought half a large Okhotsk salmon for 1,300 yen. It was a large Okhotsk salmon from the previous year. It was delicious and incredibly cheap. This shop mainly sells salmon, fish roe, and crab. It's a cheap and delicious shop. It's a wallet-friendly shop. I wonder what I should buy next time. I hope the usual saleswoman is there. If she is, I might end up buying more (laughs). Thank you for the delicious meal.
