Despite not being able to eat much due to late-night dining the day before, I enjoyed a salad, vegetable juice, tomato ketchup rice, and miso soup buffet-style. There were also smoothies and Haskap berry cakes unique to the region. The rice and miso soup were decent, while the fruits appeared fresh but slightly mushy. The hot coffee and smoothies were delicious. The view from the hotel room overlooks a main road where passing cars can be seen. At night, I ventured out from this convenient location to explore and indulge in food. Unlike hotels in Sapporo where parking fees are charged separately, Tomakomai offers free parking which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from JR Tomakomai Station South Exit, making it easy for travelers arriving by train. I visited the hotel where I stayed to have breakfast for the first time in a while. They offer two options: eating the food in the dining area or packing it to eat in your room, which feels considerate during the pandemic. This time, I found this hotel when looking for a hotel for a 2-night, 3-day stay in Tomakomai due to urgent matters! The price for 2 nights and 3 days for me, my wife, and child was 20,800 yen. Breakfast was included and the room was quite clean. The toilet and bath were together, but it was okay. We only had breakfast on the first day! It was a light breakfast, but the taste was okay. Depending on the situation with online reservations, I can use them for just a few hundred yen more than a designated driver, making it comfortable and less tiring in certain situations. Plus, if you choose a plan with breakfast included, it's even more convenient and cost-effective. The rooms are clean and comfortable with no particular complaints, and the breakfast at the hotel is satisfying. Although it's a foreign-owned hotel, I felt a sense of familiarity knowing that the bread served at breakfast is sourced from the local bakery "Sansho."

August 17th, Monday to August 18th, Tuesday, aiming to use from the wide Hokkaido end of Hakodate to the easternmost part of Hokkaido, departing from the evening, so I made a reservation on August 13th (a very late plan ^^;) It's cheap, isn't it? It's a hotel where you can stay for 3600 yen per person with breakfast included. It's okay if you just want to sleep. You can bring coffee to your room for free, so I had a blend & espresso. The breakfast bread is famous in Tomakomai, three-star soup changes daily, today it was borscht, and there were also rice balls. I got information that it's good to go to Marutoma Shokudo when you come to Tomakomai, so I didn't really need to eat here, but since I came all this way, I ate a little bit. Thank you for the meal.
