The other day when I went on a trip to Hokkaido, I finally got to visit the Sheep Hill Observatory that I had been interested in for a long time! It is located about 30 minutes by bus from Sapporo Station, and I happened to see a wild fox there! I also bought some souvenirs! I will definitely visit again!

I've been looking forward to my Sapporo business trip. On the first day, it was a travel day. I rented a car and took Plush and M-kun, who had never been there before, to a place. That place is... yes, Sheep Hill. We went to meet Mr. Clark. It was a clear sunny day. Under the blue sky, we saw Mr. Clark standing there, and both of us were a bit excited (laughs). After taking a commemorative photo, we headed to the observation deck. We decided to have soup curry for lunch, but we wanted a little something to eat. We looked into the food court, and there were plenty of Hokkaido-style dishes. Among them, we were interested in "Namara Corn Potage Bun" and "Lamb Bun" to satisfy our hunger. We divided each into three pieces and tried them! I had never eaten Corn Potage Bun before, but it was really good. The idea of stuffing corn potage inside was amazing. I wonder if it has been sold somewhere before? The combination is perfect. The Lamb Bun had lamb meat inside instead of regular meat. I was expecting a bit of a lamb taste, but there was no strong flavor. Instead, the filling had more flavor than a regular meat bun. This was also quite good. We enjoyed the Hokkaido specialties right from the start. We still have a big appetite (laughs). Now, let's charge into the soup curry restaurant we came for!

✔️ Sheep Milk Sheep milk from the Matsuyama Farm in Bifuka, Hokkaido (¥410). This milk is incredibly rich and creamy! It has a strong flavor without any unpleasant odor, and those who enjoy extra rich cow's milk will definitely love it! It is four times the price of regular cow's milk, but it is extremely rich and not commonly found, so I highly recommend trying it!

This is a souvenir shop located at the Sheep Hill Observatory. Dr. Clark's White Cheese Cake for 500 yen. Since I came all the way to the Sheep Hill Observatory, I thought I should buy a souvenir too. It is located on the second floor of the Austria House takeout shop. You can enter from the restaurant as well, but most people prefer to go to the souvenir shop rather than the takeout shop on the first floor. There are stairs and escalators available. When you enter, you will first see sheep-themed goods. Since this is a food review, I have to buy some food! There are famous items available, but I decided to buy something unique. There are many items related to Dr. Clark. I ended up choosing a cheese cake with a cute shape of Hokkaido. It has a nice cheese flavor and a chewy texture. I didn't expect much, but it was surprisingly delicious. Each item is around 500 yen, so it's affordable. The staff at the Sheep Hill Observatory were all very nice. It's close by and the entrance fee is only 530 yen, so I feel like visiting again in different seasons. Thank you for the meal.

On August 14th, at 11:00 AM, my family of four went on a trip to Hokkaido. There are many attractions in Sapporo, so in the afternoon, we plan to take the JR train to Hakodate. We decided to take the Hokkaido Chuo Bus half-day tour in Sapporo. We visited the Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium and the Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill. Unfortunately, it was cloudy with occasional light rain. The sheep were inside their shelter. We enjoyed snacks inside the rest house. I had the Shiroi Koibito soft serve ice cream for 350 yen, while my wife had the corn on the cob for 310 yen. Our second son always surprises us with his choices, opting for the corn on the cob. Our eldest son was busy choosing souvenirs and skipped the snacks. We also bought some souvenirs, including the Yubari Melon Caramel for 151 yen (the expiration date on the box is this month!) and the Golden Cheese Tart for 1242 yen. The rest house in this large building also serves Genghis Khan (grilled lamb), but we had a big drinking and eating party at the Sapporo Beer Garden last night, so we decided to skip it today!

The highlight of visiting a farm is definitely the soft serve ice cream. When you go to a farm, you must try the soft serve ice cream without fail because it is always delicious! I visited the Sheep Hill Observatory in Hokkaido. I was hoping to see the lavender fields, but unfortunately they had withered about a week ago as mentioned by the observatory staff. Around the area where Dr. Clark is, there are sheep roaming freely. There is also a foot bath where you can relax in a heartwarming atmosphere. The soft serve ice cream I was looking for was in the eat-in space opposite the direction Dr. Clark is pointing. I chose the Melon Mix Soft Serve Ice Cream. Normally, farm soft serve ice cream is only available in milk flavor, but since Hokkaido is famous for Yubari Melon, I decided to try this one. The milk soft serve ice cream was rich and refreshing, while the Yubari Melon flavor was strong and sweet. There was also a White Lover Soft Serve Ice Cream next to it, which caught my eye, but the original soft serve ice cream won in the end.

I ate the soft serve ice cream sold at the Sheep Hill Observatory. Although it looked a bit small, the soft serve ice cream went all the way to the bottom of the cone, providing a satisfying amount of food. Both the soft serve and the cone were delicious.

2022-05-06-13:30 Purchase My husband and I, as well as my cousin's husband and wife, have not informed anyone about our "trip," so we didn't need to buy much. My cousin's husband and wife are strong travelers, having been to Hokkaido for the 5th time in the past year. I have also been here over 50 times (^_-)-☆ I bought "Furano Lavender Tea" as a memento of the lavender fields in Furano while enjoying it. The sheep leisurely grazing on the grass. There were fewer sheep grazing than expected. I could see a dome stadium in the distance, as well as a panoramic view of the city. The statue of Dr. Clark seemed larger than the one on the Hokkaido University campus... Everyone was taking commemorative photos in the same pose. I didn't see any tour buses here either. Like everywhere else this time, this trip had a lot of young people. *It's hard to walk on the grass with sandals ( ;∀;) When driving, wear shoes on the right foot and sandals on the left foot (^^♪

While I'm in Sapporo, I knew I had to visit the Sheep Hill Observatory someday! Finally made it (^O^) It's so vast and beautiful♪♪♪ Truly, Hokkaido is amazing⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎ There are actual sheep here too, but they must be struggling in this summer heat (lol) I thought about getting some sheep's milk soft serve at the shop, but I've never tried Shiroi Koibito soft serve before, so I got that to go!! Mmm, it's a rich version (*'▽'*) Hokkaido's soft serve is always reliably delicious♬

Lavender soft serve. Couldn't really taste the lavender flavor, but the color was pretty so it's good.
