I felt like eating spaghetti since the morning today. I noticed a while ago that the restaurant using Kyoto vegetables had changed to the current one. By the way, it's been a year since Paseo closed down...and Esta closed at the end of last month...Ever since Daimaru Sapporo and Stella Place, as well as JR Tower, were built near Sapporo Station, people started gathering around Odori Park area to Sapporo Station area. But a new commercial facility was built in Tanuki Koji, and a new one will open in Susukino this fall, so I wonder if the flow of people will change to the main street area or the south side. I arrived at the restaurant just before the opening time of 11 o'clock. Already three ladies were waiting in line, so I thought I might as well wait in line too (laughs). Well, while waiting, I looked at the menu outside...but the menu itself is small (laughs). At 11 o'clock, I entered the store and declared that I was dining alone, so the waitress guided me to a solo box seat on the left side of the store. It's not a seat facing the wall, but a box seat like a parallel parking space...kind of awkward. There's a hamburger shop inside Sapporo Station's ticket gate that has a similar solo seat...and more and more customers kept coming in. Everyone chose spaghetti instead of the two ramen shops across the street, huh? (laughs) The waitress brought me oolong tea and a Japanese-style salad with miso soup. And she kindly reminded me that the miso soup was hot. Yeah, the miso soup is surprisingly not that hot (laughs). After about 12 minutes, the "Tarako Hitosuji" arrived. It's basically tarako spaghetti, with a single strip of tarako on top, looking delicious. The only other ingredients are Kujo green onions, chopped seaweed, simple and delicious. How is it different from the tarako spaghetti with sauce sold at convenience stores? Well, it's completely different (laughs). First of all, the tarako is delicious, and the pasta is cooked perfectly. But the butter in the sauce that coats the pasta is a bit weak, isn't it? It feels lacking, right? If they had something like adding extra butter like in ramen shops, I would definitely order it, right? By the way, I remember writing in past reviews about the previous Kyoto vegetable spaghetti restaurant that the butter was a bit weak... Well, it's all a matter of personal preference, right (laughs)? Both restaurants are operated by the same company, so there must be something, right? Well, it's safe and delicious, so it's all good, isn't it? Thank you for the meal.
