The charcoal-grilled pork bowl was delicious with a fragrant and flavorful taste. The atmosphere allows for a relaxing stay if it's not crowded, and the complimentary coffee after the meal was a nice touch. With the option for all-you-can-drink and takeout, it seems like a versatile place for various occasions.

It's another lunch on a holiday. Some of you may think, "chappytsum only posts reviews of lunch on holidays..." Well, that's true!! Because I mainly work indoors, I have my wife's bento for lunch on weekdays, and I rarely eat out at night because I have young children. So, today I went to "Butadon and Soba Tokachi Hare Hakodate Mandai Store" for lunch. I had the privilege to go out for lunch as a reward for taking on Taro's duties in the morning. The lunch cost was not covered (*￣m￣). It was at the location of "Hakodate Mandai Shokudo." I used to go there a lot when I was single. The tamagoyaki was delicious, but if you get carried away and choose too many side dishes, your wallet will suffer, so I only ordered tamagoyaki this time (laughs). So did they close because of me!? The Bara Pork Don with Miso Soup was 890 yen plus 110 yen (tax included). First of all, the Bara pork was not as tender as expected. And, it's too spicy because of too much pepper (~_~;). Hmm, should this really be called a Bara pork don...? The sauce is the sweet and savory one, but even when burnt, it lacks the desired fragrance. I had high hopes for this place, but I'm disappointed (´-ω-`). The only good thing was that the miso soup was delicious.

For some reason, I had already decided to eat the night pork bowl, so I visited this place haha. Their specialty is pork bowl, but they also have soba as a single item. I had the chilled soba. The soba noodles were firm and had a nice texture. It's smooth and crispy, perfect for lunch. There were quite a few students in addition to office workers.

It's lunchtime with clear skies in Tokachi. This place used to be the Bandai Shokudo. The company behind Maido Ookini Shokudo creates a local feel by branding their stores in different regions as "○○ Shokudo". In Hakodate, it was operated by Yasuke Foods. Yasuke Foods renovated the restaurant and seems to have left the Maido Ookini franchise. I think. I was hesitant to post on Tabelog because I thought the main company in Obihiro was expanding the chain. But it turns out the restaurant is operated by a company in Hakodate. I ordered the pork bowl and soba set. The pork, grilled over charcoal, has a nice smoky flavor. It pairs well with the soba. I think it's quite good as a pork bowl restaurant. If a company from Obihiro were to open a Hakodate salt ramen shop in the city, I would feel a bit uneasy. Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't find any open shops after finishing my New Year's shrine visit, so I stopped by this restaurant for lunch because it was open. It may have been busy due to New Year's, but the finished dishes were left untouched for a long time without anyone serving them. The staff seemed more focused on cleaning up and seating guests. When the pork bowl finally arrived at my table, both the meat and rice were cold and not very warm. The meat was also tough and disappointing.

It was delicious!! It was my first visit and I found it a bit confusing as there was no guidance on self-service tea until we placed our order after being told to sit wherever we liked. Once we ordered, the service was very friendly, maybe because they were busy (haha). My son had shrimp tempura rice bowl, my daughter had pork rice bowl and mini soba set, and I had tempura rice bowl and mini soba set. We also got two pork rice bowls for takeout. The pork rice bowls for takeout were surprisingly tender when we reheated them in the evening!! The tempura rice bowl we had at the restaurant was delicious. The batter was crispy, the shrimp was plump, and it was so tasty. The mini soba was good too, although I personally prefer soba a bit firmer. But I love the broth♥ I want to try everything on the menu, so I will definitely be coming back. The location is in Hakodate, across from the gas company in Bandai-cho, at the site of Bandai Shokudo. There is a decent amount of parking next to the restaurant, but if there is a wait for a table, it can feel crowded. I ordered the Chidori Soba (only cold soba available on the menu), Obihiro Pork Bowl Belly Soba (cold), and a set with both. The Chidori Soba came with plenty of toppings like tempura bits, bonito flakes, seaweed, grated radish, green onions, and lemon. I personally liked it with tempura bits, seaweed, green onions, and lemon. The Obihiro Pork Bowl Belly Soba set included pork belly rice bowl and soba (hot or cold option) with pickles on the side. The portion sizes for both the pork bowl and soba were small for the price. You can ask for soba water if needed. The staff seemed inexperienced, which led to slow cleanup and a slow turnover of tables, but this may improve over time. It would be better if customers could clear their own trays after finishing their meal. Additional notes: Pork bowl can also be ordered with pork loin, coffee is self-service, and takeaway coffee is available (with paper cups). The individual bowl dishes seem to offer better value for money than the sets, and the soba feels a bit overpriced.

I tried out a restaurant that used to be a teishoku (set meal) restaurant called Bandai Shokudo in Bandai-cho. The new shop, called Walt, offers delivery services. I couldn't find soba on the menu, so I decided to order the Pork Plate which was a good deal, consisting of pork belly and pork loin.
