I went to the restaurant because my friend highly recommended it. It was empty even though it was lunchtime, but it was nice to have the place to ourselves. They offer both light and rich options. I chose the rich one, but honestly, I didn't really like the taste. It just seemed oily. It might just be personal preference though! Maybe I'm getting old. Next time, I'll try the light option.

There is no deep reason, but it's my first visit here. It's a bit hidden, so maybe that's why? When I was getting takeout of the amazing "chanko kishimen" nearby, I thought, I haven't tried the ramen here yet... so I visited on another day before I forgot (*^ω^*) [Ramen and Mini Fried Rice Set] ♬ 1050 yen. It says you can add a "flavored egg" or extra noodles for free to any set menu... "I'll have the flavored egg, please." It's my first visit, so I should have chosen salt or soy sauce... I heard a voice saying that, but I can't resist set menus... haha. I can hear the sounds of efficient work...♪*゚ To avoid crowds, I visited alone at a different time, so I had the place to myself! I can hear the sounds clearly (*˘ ˘*) the sound of pouring the soup... the timing of lifting the noodles... there doesn't seem to be any lukewarm elements ‪(*ˆ꒳ˆ*)‬v The sound of stirring the fried rice in the pan sounds delicious ♬ It's nice to be able to have expectations based on sound...♪*゚ It lived up to my expectations ♬ It arrived piping hot ♡ Both the ramen and fried rice have a nice aroma ✩.*˚ I chose the "light" soy sauce ramen. It's a chicken broth base, and the slight sweetness... maybe from the vegetables? It's a clear soup that's not too salty, just the way I like it ♬ The fried rice was also piping hot, just as expected from the sound. The ingredients are simple with chashu, menma, green onions, and egg, and oh... menma is included, I see (๑´ڡ`๑) Delicious, light and fluffy, with a nice oiliness and just the right amount of salt...♪*゚ Wow... it's delicious, isn't it (*^ω^*) I'll definitely go back ♬ I'm curious about the rich and tasty ramen, and also how the vegetable ramen tastes. Revisit confirmed...♪*゚ Thank you for the meal~(*´∀`)♪

Today's lunch was at Ramen Tomikura. I opted for the value set which includes a choice of free toppings like extra noodles or seasoned egg. You can also choose from miso, salt, or soy sauce broth, with options for light or rich flavors. I went for the rich soy sauce broth with extra noodles. The noodles were thin and curly, sourced from Sagamiya. The cha-shu rice had toppings of green onions, pickled ginger, and cha-shu pork with mayonnaise. I may have eaten too much, but it was delicious!

A ramen shop that used to be located in a green hill, with black as the main color scheme. It has moved to this location, and this was my first visit. The parking space was spacious, and since it was hot that day, I was the only one there, so I had even more space to myself. The overall theme of the shop is black, and the entrance is a bit hard to notice at first. The door with the curtain is a sliding one, and you can't see the inside at all. The energy of the shop is important, right? Today, let's see how it ranks. If the photos look delicious, please click the "↓" button! ⇒ Try clicking it once! Menu: The basic ramen comes in shoyu, miso, or salt flavors for 780 yen. You can choose between a light chicken broth or a rich pork bone soup. The menu looks similar to before the relocation. There are set menus available for 1050 yen, where you can choose between ramen and fried rice, gyoza, or a small bowl of rice. The set menu includes free options like extra noodles or seasoned eggs. The service is self-serve, and you can adjust the toppings as you like. Unfortunately, the staff lacked energy. I ordered the gyoza set for 1050 yen. The ramen arrived first, followed shortly by the gyoza and rice. I accidentally mixed up the noodles a bit while waiting. The ramen was decent, with a flavorful pork broth. I asked for extra oil, so maybe that's why it tasted rich. The ramen was not too heavy, despite being made with 100% pork bone broth. I didn't opt for the large portion, but I added an egg. The ramen came with two eggs, so maybe I should have gone for the large size. However, since I had gyoza and rice as well, two eggs were enough. The boiled eggs were served cold, which was a bit disappointing, but understandable given the season. The soft-boiled seasoned egg was perfectly cooked, with a runny yolk. Both types of eggs were a good addition to the ramen. The pork oil ramen had a unique flavor, different from the typical soy sauce ramen in Asahikawa. The curly noodles were closer to straight noodles, with a slightly thin texture. The ramen had a light flavor, which would have been even lighter with a different broth. The pork slices were a good size and tender, with a rich flavor. I enjoyed them a lot. The gyoza in the set menu came with two pieces, which was a bit disappointing. It would be better to have three or more during lunchtime. The gyoza had a nice crispy sear and a soft skin. The flavor was delicious.

"Ramen Tomizo" in Asahikawa, I'm alone and don't have much time for lunch. I wanted to find a place nearby, and I came across "Ramen Tomizo." The name of this place is interesting, isn't it? Anyway, I ordered the salt flavor, which is pretty obvious for ramen bloggers. The owner seems to be serving alone, and there was only one car parked outside, probably belonging to the owner. I got a complimentary boiled egg. I ordered the rich flavor ramen, which had a nice balance of richness and lightness. The noodles were thin but not low hydration, and they were changed from Asahikawa Seimen to Sagamiya. The toppings like green onions and seasoned bamboo shoots were a good match. The chashu was fatty and tender, and the soup was flavorful with a hint of complexity. Overall, it was a delicious bowl of ramen. The place had a small counter and a few tables, and the atmosphere was cozy. The owner wasn't too friendly, but that didn't bother me much. I regretted getting the hard-boiled egg as a complimentary topping. In the end, I thanked the owner and left, feeling satisfied with the meal.

I ordered the Kokumashi Shoyu ramen, which now uses noodles from Sagamiya Seimen instead of Asahikawa Seimen starting from June. The ramen was served in less than 5 minutes. The soup is made from 100% tonkotsu, but it doesn't have a strong smell and pairs well with the soy sauce. There is a layer of back fat floating on top. The noodles are straight, low-hydration thin noodles. Compared to the recent trend of medium-thin curly noodles, the noodles didn't seem to mix as well with the soup. The chashu was thick and large, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, but the flavor was a bit weak for my taste. The menma was salted, but it might have been better with a bit more flavor to match the soup.

Many people seem to be thinking about starting the new year with ramen, as the place was quite crowded. This shop offers boiled eggs as a service. I ordered the rich and delicious soy sauce, miso, and salt flavors. I tried the salt flavor, but I still think the soy sauce flavor of Asahikawa ramen is the most delicious. I felt that the salt flavor was better as a lighter option compared to the rich and delicious one.

Visited for the 52nd time in Heisei 30 in June 2018, located along the Asahikawa Ring Road, this restaurant stands out with its all-black exterior. I had been putting off visiting this place due to the preconception that all-black restaurants tend to disappoint. However, on this day, a holiday, I decided to give it a try as part of my "ramen hunting" activities. The sliding door was a bit difficult to open, and the entrance had a waiting area with all seats taken. I managed to find a seat at a small counter facing the wall. The overall atmosphere inside the restaurant felt cramped, despite the energetic service from the staff. The menu offered a choice between two types of soup: "light" or "rich and savory," with options for chicken or pork broth, and different types of chashu (roasted pork slices). The toppings selection was extensive, almost overwhelming. I ordered the "light soy sauce ramen" for 750 yen, which was a bit on the expensive side, but the free boiled egg made up for it. The broth was light, with simple toppings of two pieces of chicken chashu, naruto (fish cake), green onions, spinach, and thick menma (bamboo shoots). The menma, although of good quality, could have used a bit more seasoning. The straight noodles, surprisingly, were on the softer side, and quite enjoyable. The soup, although light, lacked a bit of depth in the chicken flavor and was slightly lukewarm. The extensive toppings menu could easily push the total cost above 1,000 yen. At this point, I do not consider ordering ramen above 1,000 yen, so I refrain from adding extra toppings. I believe I need to try the "pork bone" ramen to give a more accurate assessment of this place, but I am still contemplating a return visit.

I was planning to have lunch at a different restaurant, but I was lured in by the boiled egg service! The menu was huge! There were two types of soup base available for all dishes: a light chicken broth and a rich pork bone broth, so I decided to get both! Even before choosing a restaurant, I was already set on having soy sauce ramen, so that was a definite choice. When I looked at the menu, I noticed they had a great value set menu, so I went for that. I usually order ramen with a side dish (limited to chashu rice bowls or squid rice bowls) when dining at a place that offers them. I wanted to have some rice too! From the set menu, I chose the chashu rice bowl set, and my husband chose the mini fried rice set. We both ordered the ramen with firm noodles, strong flavor, and normal oil level. The set menu also allowed for a choice of extra noodles or seasoned eggs. What a deal! We both opted for extra noodles with our ramen. This turned out to be a mistake... *The special set menu does not apply to JAF card discounts. It was a good deal, after all! While waiting for our ramen, my husband brought over the boiled eggs. Four of them. One would have been enough, but we ended up each having two. And when the ramen with extra noodles arrived, I was shocked... Wait, isn't the bowl huge?! And there's so much food?! I usually have the ramen with extra noodles, but the extra noodles at Tomikura seemed like a lot. Maybe it was because we had two boiled eggs each... And then there was the chashu rice bowl from the set, which had a normal portion but was quite oily, making it a bit of a struggle to finish! The chashu in the ramen was thick and fatty, with a lot of pork belly that was tender and fatty, which was a bit overwhelming... I felt like the soy sauce ramen lacked a bit of punch in the saltiness department, but it was a rich ramen with back fat. I ordered it with strong flavor, but it wasn't as salty as I expected, and it was thick from the back fat. The chashu was about 8mm thick and over 10cm long, so quite large! It was so tender that it fell apart when picked up with chopsticks. My husband found the pork belly fat a bit too much and left some behind. Next time, I'll stick to one boiled egg and regular noodles! And I'll try a different flavor. I was a little surprised to see many solo female customers. (I also enjoy dining solo...) Thank you for the meal!

It seems like a ramen shop has moved to Nagayama, so I went there the other day. It's called "Ramen Tomikura." Located at 5-6-5 Nagayama, Asahikawa City. Opening hours are from 11:00 to 21:00, closed on Wednesdays. They have parking available. For those who know, it used to be "Shogatsu-ya" ramen shop. The building and the dark interior are exactly the same. They offer a free boiled egg service, which you can help yourself to. I ordered the Rich Vegetable Miso Ramen for 880 yen. It had a rich pork bone flavor that I like. The ramen had a standard taste that would appeal to many pork bone lovers. The chashu was tender and the gyoza was decent, not too juicy. Overall, it was a good experience at the new ramen shop in the former Shogatsu-ya location. Let's see if they can continue the legacy.

Transferred from Midorigaoka, this ramen shop offers a modern twist on the classic Asahikawa ramen. It features a slightly cloudy soy sauce broth with minimal fat, thin low-water content noodles, and a touch of richness. The tender chashu is also quite good. Even for someone like me who is not a die-hard Asahikawa ramen fan, the familiar yet unique flavors make it a reliable choice for everyday dining. The roughness of the dish also adds to its appeal. If this shop were nearby, it would be a convenient go-to spot for a satisfying bowl of ramen.

I went to a restaurant using a lunch passport. It was cold from the morning today. The stove was turned on. The same goes for the office. It's almost left as it is during the winter. Asahikawa Part 4 September 15th to December 15th Lunch passport can be used during business hours. Not available on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Limited to 15 meals per day. Closed on Wednesdays. Parking available (4-5 spaces). 18 seats. Ramen (soy sauce, salt, miso) 750 yen → 500 yen This shop is going to move. The address changes every time I go. Tomisawa → Midorigaoka → Nagayama. You can choose from soy sauce, salt, and miso, and there are light and rich soups. I chose the rich miso. It was brought in about 5 minutes. It looks delicious...smells bad! Oh, the rich soup was made with 100% pork bone broth. I might not like this smell... But the taste of the soup is delicious. It warms up the body with back fat. It goes well with the medium-thin noodles. The toppings are about 20 cm wide: pork belly chashu, menma, seaweed, and green onions. I ate it all up. Thank you for the meal. By the way, the sliding door on the inside of the entrance is too heavy. It takes quite a bit of effort to open and close.

"Ramen Tomikura," which relocated and opened in Asahikawa City, Nagayama 6-jo 5-chome, was visited by my wife and me as I was back in Asahikawa for a tire change. I had the Rich Miso Ramen (usually 750 yen, but on this day it was the relocation opening price of 375 yen). It came with green onions, bamboo shoots, chashu pork, and seaweed, and the rich miso flavor is a tonkotsu pork bone broth-based ramen. Tomikura used to be located in Kamiimachi Tomizawa in Asahikawa, then moved to Higashiyonjo 4-chome in May 2014, and now has moved to the location where the recently closed "ShogatsuYa" ramen shop was located, reopening on October 26th. ShogatsuYa had closed due to a shortage of staff, and there were connections between Tomikura and ShogatsuYa, which were originally related to OrenYa. The interior of the restaurant remains the same as when ShogatsuYa was there, with black-themed tables and chairs, counter seating for 3, four 4-seater tables, and two 4-person raised seating tables. To celebrate the relocation opening, from October 26th to 29th, ramen is being offered at half price. The menu includes three types of chicken broth ramen and three types of tonkotsu pork bone broth ramen, usually priced at 750 yen, but now half off at 375 yen each. There are also Chashu Ramen and Special Chashu Ramen, usually 1,050 yen, now priced at 525 yen. It's a great deal for those who want to enjoy a lot of chashu pork. My wife had the regular chicken broth miso ramen (usually 750 yen, but on this day it was 375 yen). It came with green onions, bamboo shoots, chashu pork, naruto fish cake, and spinach. The chashu pork was different from the one in my rich miso ramen. The rich miso ramen I had was slightly spicy, with a thick and mild tonkotsu pork bone broth. The noodles were straight, medium-thin noodles with low water content, which I quite liked. The choice between the light chicken broth or the rich tonkotsu pork bone broth is a matter of personal preference. On our way out, we received a point card (500 yen off after collecting 10 points) and a service ticket for 150 yen off on all items, valid until December 25th this year. Thank you for the meal. Ramen Tomikura Asahikawa City, Nagayama 6-jo 5-chome 1-20 166-47-8337 11:00-21:00 (L.O. 20:45) Closed on Wednesdays (and the following day if it's a holiday)

I went to the newly opened restaurant in the building that used to be Eiyama during their half-price campaign. Despite the bad weather with snow falling, there was a long line when I stopped by after work. I waited for about 30 minutes without checking the time because it was so cold. The interior looked similar to Eiyama, although they were changing the signboard. I managed to find a seat at the counter and ordered the "Special Char Siu Ramen" in soy sauce flavor. As expected, Asahikawa ramen is best with soy sauce. The Char Siu Ramen is usually expensive at other places, so I took advantage of the half-price offer. It came with two types of pork, green onions, bamboo shoots, spinach, and fish cake, and it was delicious. I was happy with the noodle texture and soup richness. I would love to go back again if I have the chance.
