[Visit Date: Mid-July 2023] I visited around 5:30 pm on a weekday and rated it 3.41. I had tried their soft serve ice cream at New Chitose Airport before, and I still remember its thickness and size. There is a street in Susukino Station underground with various eateries, and I found a shop here as well, so I decided to visit. I bought a soft serve ice cream cup (¥430 including tax) and ate it in the store. The thickness and size were just as impressive as before. It was actually quite a large portion. But that was a good thing. There weren't many customers in the evening, so I could enjoy it calmly. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by here to grab a snack on my way to work. I chose the apple pie. The freshly baked custard apple pie costs 350 yen. There were no drinks available, so I just had the apple pie. The apple pie was slightly warm and had a nice crunch. It had just the right amount of filling with apple and custard. It's great that you can eat it right away. It would be nice if they also offered coffee or other drinks.

Kinotoya Bake's apple pie is the best I've ever had. The baked cheese tarts, 6 pieces for 1320 yen, were enjoyed chilled from the fridge. The buttery, crispy tart crust had a firm texture and was very tasty. The rich, creamy cheese cream had a smooth, velvety texture that was different from fromage or rare cheese. A few days ago, when I passed by, it was packed with customers and there was a waiting line, but this day it was empty so I decided to make a detour to have some soft serve ice cream. I was also tempted by the apple pie (I love apple pie) but since I prefer apples over pie (especially with lots of cinnamon), I thought that this apple pie might not be to my liking (it has custard in it) so I decided not to buy it this time (I feel like I might never buy it again haha). - Premium milk soft serve ice cream As usual, the portion was generous haha. It has a rich milk fat content, giving it that strong milk flavor, more like a dessert (like whipped cream) rather than the classic Hokkaido milk soft serve ice cream! I personally prefer the soft serve ice cream from BISSE Kinoto or Cafe (or Farm store), which has a good balance of richness and refreshing taste. Also, I wonder if they make the waffle cones there? They are sweet and crispy, right? (I always mention this in my reviews but I haven't actually looked it up myself)

When I found a similar one at Lumine in Shinjuku, I was surprised. It was called "Bake", and I thought it was a copycat, but it turned out to be a Kinotoya-related store. The store was very small and had a long line because they were baking inside. I decided to wait in line because I wanted to eat it. But the one I had in Hokkaido was more delicious. That store seems to have closed down by now. I think I'll buy it again! I like eating it as it is, but I also like to freeze it and eat it semi-thawed. When there were not many stores around, I used to buy it at the store in Kotoni. I remember they used to have a jam with haskap or blueberry in the cheese tart. I also liked the one without jam, which I think I bought in Kotoni. The ones from back then tasted better, I think. Even with the same recipe and method, the taste can vary depending on the location.
