I happened to stop by Rokka-tei, located inside Daiichi, around 16:20 on a holiday. I was looking for something good to eat, and I found a custard pudding (160 yen) which I decided to buy. I paid with nanaco. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

In November, I reserved three cakes and a pie from a snack shop for 500 yen. When my mother returned from Okinawa, we planned to enjoy them together. I was surprised that despite the low price, the cakes were a decent size and very delicious. The daifuku (rice cake) was perhaps a bonus, but it was also tasty.

I visited Rokkatei inside Daiei at Freshpo Megumino and ordered a 15cm Christmas cake. Last year, I had a bad experience with a cake from Larousse, so this year I decided to try Rokkatei for the first time. You need to make a reservation for all cakes except for the small ones. I personally went to pick up the cake, so I'm not sure about the price since my family had paid in advance when making the reservation. The cake had small strawberries (slightly sour) and chocolate on top, with strawberry jam between the layers. The cream was not too sweet and easy to eat. Although the cake was a bit small, I was very satisfied compared to last year's disappointment.

Along the road where I often run, a supermarket called Daiichi has opened. Daiichi is a familiar supermarket in the local area of Obihiro, having roots dating back to the days of Obihiro Food Center. My wife asked me to stop by as she had some shopping to do. This was on our way back from eating ramen in Ebetsu. We parked the car in the parking lot and headed inside the store with my wife to buy groceries for dinner. As I looked around, I noticed that Rokkatei was also located inside the store. Hmm, I feel like eating something! Just as I was about to suggest it, my wife said, "I want to eat cream puffs... no, I'm going to eat them!" My wife loves cream puffs, especially custard ones. We returned home and enjoyed them together. Inside, the cream puffs were filled with a rich custard cream without any gaps. It's quite rare to find cream puffs so densely filled with cream. Perhaps because of this, the cream has a firm texture. While I prefer cream puffs with a slightly softer cream, considering the price, these were a great value. The cream puffs have remained the same as they were in the past, but I can't recall if they were as rich as this. This small and affordable cream puff is a great deal. It's clear that the store has grown and improved over the years. As a former local resident, I hope they continue to work hard with humility. Thank you for the meal.

Rokkatei has opened, and I often receive gifts from there, but this might be the first time I'm buying something for myself. I take a stroll around the small store, contemplating what to get. There are cute heart-shaped chocolates and other options. I decide to skip the Marseille Butter Sandwich and opt for: - Marseille Biscuits (10 pieces) for 400 yen. The biscuits are thin and moist, with rum and brandy in the ingredients. I used to easily notice alcohol in food, but now I can't tell if it's a very small amount or if my taste buds have dulled. - Custard Pudding for 160 yen. It has a strong milk flavor, a bit light on caramel, but it's smooth, mildly sweet, and delicious. - Dorayaki for 130 yen. Lately, I find myself buying dorayaki as a souvenir. This one has chunky red bean paste and is slightly sweet. I probably won't buy for myself again, but I might get something during holidays or special occasions. Thank you for the meal!

I received these treats on a Wednesday around 8 PM. I got them as a gift, even though it says "visited the store" (●´ω`●). I received them when I went to record a radio show in Ebetsu. In Hokkaido, there are Aeon branches everywhere, offering a variety of Japanese and Western sweets, making them perfect for souvenirs or gifts! - New Rice Daifuku: This daifuku has a shelf life of only one day, but the rice cake is so soft and the beans are big, giving it a satisfying texture. The sweetness of the red bean paste is also just right. - Dorayaki: The fluffy pancake-like dough is filled with whole red beans in a beautiful red bean paste. The appearance of the red bean paste alone is enough to make you forgive any imperfections. I used to buy their limited edition Japanese sweets every month in the past. I think I'll visit Rokkatei again soon.
