辛口トトロン
Opened on October 22, 2022, visited on January 27, 2023. Why did we travel all the way from Asao to Fukuzumi, which took an hour, the old man next to me grumbled, haha. The reason is that even though it's been three months since the opening, there's still a lack of information, so I was curious about DEN Cafe. I found out why it's called DEN Cafe once I entered the store. In architectural terms, "DEN" means a small room, a hobby room, a hidden room, etc., and the interior of this place feels like a hobby room. It's a very cute interior, and it seems like the old man next to me might get banned (lol). We ordered the French toast for 880 yen and an Einspanner for 550 yen as a set. When you order a set, the drink is 275 yen extra, so it's actually 275 yen off. Do you get it? The French toast was fluffy and creamy, very delicious, but it's 880 yen with fruits and whipped cream. On the other hand, the Einspanner drink is something I've never heard of before. I looked it up, and it seems to be a Viennese coffee. It's a cream to prevent the coffee from cooling down, so having it iced is kind of unconventional, but it's more visually appealing, right? Now, I thought this cute interior was all about hobbies, but I was completely wrong! This place actually sells and breeds colorful poison dart frogs. It truly is a hobbyist's world. The frogs were inside glass enclosures, but they were difficult to photograph, so I didn't get a good shot. But they are priced at over 40,000 yen each. So, whether you enjoy eating and drinking in the cute interior or go see the poisonous frogs, it's all about personal preference and hobbies (lol).
