I thought I was writing a review for sure, but the review disappeared from Tabelog somehow. I wonder why. On this day, I did some shopping at Toko Store. I purchased a variety of sushi rolls as one of the snacks for my evening drink. The sushi rolls had a nice balance of vinegar flavor, the rolls were firm but not too hard, and overall they were relatively tasty. They paired well with white wines like Inedit and Domaine Leson.

Hokkaido-grown Nanatsuboshi rice and the vinegar seasoning make the taste not bad, but the rice is a bit too cold and hard. The toppings surprisingly taste good. The scallops, crab, and shrimp were not too fishy compared to other individual restaurants, but the highlight was the melt-in-your-mouth medium fatty tuna. The soy sauce was salty and sharp, which was not to my liking. Overall rating 3.2. Taste 3.2, Service - , Atmosphere 3.0, Value for money 3.2, Drinks -

▽Seven Lucky Gods Ehomaki (half) 345 yen
This is the half-sized version of the most orthodox Ehomaki, which includes seven ingredients such as kanpyo, egg, shiitake mushrooms, and carrots. It has a simple yet delicious taste, making it a great choice for enjoying Ehomaki.
▼Impressions▼
This branch is part of the Fish Isshin group, which operates sushi brands within the Toko Store's fresh fish department. On this day, there were various types of Ehomaki lined up for the upcoming Setsubun festival, and customers were buying them one after another. As someone from Kansai, Ehomaki has been a familiar tradition since childhood for me, and it has become popular even in Hokkaido. I chose the half size this time, which was just the right size and taste. I always buy Ehomaki from Isshin-related shops, so I was satisfied with the quality once again this year. I look forward to relying on Isshin again next year.

In March 2013, I visited Sushi Isshin Toyohira for the first time. It is a take-out sushi specialty store. Sushi Isshin is a part of the Grape group, which also operates fish markets, sushi restaurants, conveyor belt sushi, and izakayas. Sushi Isshin's sushi restaurants are located in places like Sapporo Tokyu Department Store's food court. They also have dine-in locations in the department store's basement. This particular store is located on the first floor of Higashi-Ko Store Toyohira in Toyohira area of Sapporo. You can check the exact location on Tabelog. I used it for take-out this time. Inside the store, they sell fresh sushi, nori rolls, seafood nori rolls, and other items. They also had half-price seafood rolls. The "Isshin Sushi 2-Person Pack" caught my eye first, so I bought that. I shared it with my usual companion. The pack includes 9 types of fresh sushi, with 2 pieces each: 1. Crab 2. Uni (probably Russian) 3. Tuna belly red meat 4. Scallop 5. Salmon 6. Mackerel with a good amount of fat 7. Sweet shrimp (2 pieces) 8. Squid 9. Flying fish roe The rice quality for take-out was good. It came with pickled ginger and soy sauce, priced at 1,280 yen for 2 people. At 640 yen per person for 9 pieces, it's a good deal with crab and uni included. The uni didn't have a premium taste, but it was decent. It's a satisfying sushi option for enjoying at home. There's also a sense of value for money. Since they have an outlet in a department store, there's a sense of reliability. It's not easy for restaurants to get into department stores. Next time, I might try the half-price items I passed on this time. I'd also like to try other sushi options. This place is listed on Tabelog, so it was a delicious meal. Thank you for the feast.

This is "Sushi no Isshin" inside the Toko Store Toyohira branch. Remembering how delicious the salad roll was that I bought at "Sushi no Isshin" inside the Toko Store Mae branch, I looked around the showcase. I found the salad roll! And next to it, the "Isshin Namamaki" looked super luxurious and delicious! So I bought that. The raw sushi roll includes tuna, sea bream, sweet shrimp, salmon, imitation crab, cucumber, rolled omelette, flying fish roe, and topped with salmon roe. The colors are beautiful and it looks delicious. I will indulge in a bite of this luxury. It tastes so delicious! I will definitely want to buy this again at some Isshin store. Thank you Toyohira branch!
