Kushiro has so much potential, it's amazing! The food is delicious, affordable, and the seafood is fresh. They even serve horse sashimi, and use local pork from Hidaka and Akanko without advertising it on the menu (which is great). They gather fresh and delicious ingredients from all over Japan, and cook them properly to provide wonderful izakaya dishes (not just reheating or boiling). The restaurant is run by a couple, and the wife's service is kind and polite, with a cheerful smile that makes the drinking experience even better. The only downside is that the space between tables and chairs is a bit tight, as it used to be a former snack bar. I hope it doesn't become too popular with tourists. You can smoke and they accept credit cards!
