I started eating it and found that the spiciness of the mentaiko was stronger than I expected, giving it quite a kick. Honestly, the combination of Gyudon and Takana was a bit subtle for my taste. Personally, I don't find it particularly delicious or unpleasant when these two are combined... Well, this is just a matter of personal preference, so it might be irresistible to those who like it. In my opinion, the best combination is still the regular Gyudon with a raw egg. What's interesting is that the "Takana Mentaiko Mayo" is considered a topping for the "Gyudon". In that case, I wonder if it's possible to add a double topping for those who like it? Anyway, it's been a long time since I had Gyudon, and I suddenly felt like going to Yoshinoya soon (laughs).

It was lunchtime and there were a few other customers waiting for their food. My daughter works part-time at a Sukiya in Mito City. We visited a Sukiya in Tomakomai because she wanted to eat there while home. We ordered her recommended dish, the Takana Mentaiko Gyudon and clam soup. We usually order frozen Sukiya from the co-op and make Gyudon for breakfast, so it was satisfying to eat at the restaurant. It was delicious!笑

I don't really rate gyudon, but the "Una-gyu" at Sukiya is good. The quantity and taste of the eel are good compared to the price. The beef, which was dry and thin, also seems to have become more moist. And the clam soup was impressive, with a rich and delicious flavor. In terms of clam soup, I felt it surpassed Yoshinoya. GOOD!
