Iran Kalapute. ---------- 2023.04 ---------- Located at South 4 West 5, along R36, the facade is brightly illuminated from noon onwards. Hello! It was late afternoon but the popular waitresses were serving customers one after another. Their manual speech was unique, but when you stand at the ticket machine, they provide you with water and a seat. As it is a family-run business, they ask about the firmness of the noodles, the richness of the flavor, and the amount of oil you prefer. Although it is a family-run establishment, I personally chose thin noodles (apparently, the base of the shop is thick noodles). While waiting, I had a Lemon Sour. The shop is located along Asahikawa's shopping park street, and I have visited it before (as a ramen enthusiast), so I have a sense of the shop's taste. I customized my order with "Shoyu Ramen" + (firm, regular, extra) toppings. The simplicity of the dish, combined with the steam rising from the bowl, was irresistible. With extra oil, the film of oil on top was thick, allowing me to fully enjoy the tonkotsu flavor. The soy sauce flavor that comes through later, even with a regular richness level, was more than satisfying. The combination of alcohol, noodles, and rice was excellent. The slightly fatty chashu, soft menma, and seaweed were left to soak in the soup for enjoyment later. Customizing with tableside condiments was fun. Whether to add chopped onions to the soup is a matter of personal preference, but I like it. The rice is free until 5 p.m. (including large portions). I tried following the recommended way of eating displayed on the wall, pouring the soup over the garlic and sprinkling with black pepper. Indeed, it was a garlic rice, but the rice was cooked soft. I prefer a firmer texture to mix with the soup. The younger customers were eating heartily. The portion size was moderate, but the satisfaction level was high, perhaps due to the rice.
