On the first day in Sapporo, we headed to the popular Escon Field! Inside the stadium, there are various shops lined up. One of the enjoyable activities at Escon Field seems to be exploring these shops. Even though it's Hokkaido, the season is still hot. What you crave for is a cold beer, right? Beer at the stadium tastes delicious. To make the beer even more enjoyable, let's first get some beer snacks. We split up and each went to get snacks. I went to a croquette shop called "Coromoa." There was quite a line, but the staff were efficient and the line quickly decreased. After about 5-6 minutes, I reached the staff to place my order. I confirmed in advance the croquettes we wanted. Plush and Bibb ordered beef stew croquettes, while I chose a Hokkaido-style grilled corn croquette. We also got 3 pieces of chicken wings, a classic beer. The explanation was clear, and the service was speedy. We received our hot and freshly fried items and returned to our seats. I bought a cold beer from the beer seller, of course choosing Sapporo Classic! Everything was ready. Let's dig in! The croquettes were crispy. My grilled corn croquette had colorful corn inside, which was sweet and delicious. The beef stew croquettes were also flavorful and tasty. The chicken wings were hot and juicy. It was great to eat them freshly made. Oh, and while we were enjoying the food, the Nippon-Ham Fighters scored the first point. Food is good, but we also need to focus on the baseball game...笑

This time, the main target shop of ESCON is "San Marco". San Marco is a famous frozen food manufacturer known for their croquettes. I usually buy their side dishes at the nearby Aeon Asao store, so I was surprised to see them at ESCON. I ordered the "Ito Daikai Pitcher's The!! San Marco Set", which is a player's gourmet set with a variety of dishes. The croquettes were as expected, always tasty even when cold. The "fried chicken wings" were a new dish for me, so I savored them carefully. I was surprised to find that the meaty part of the chicken wing was only half there! Despite the disappointment, I still enjoyed the well-balanced saltiness that brought out the flavor of the meat. Even when cold, the crispy texture remained, making it very delicious. It would have been even better if there was more meat on the wings!

I have a strong appetite. Today, I went to a second restaurant before the match to buy some food and watch the game carefully. I think San Marco's croquettes are the best. If there are any leftovers, I can take them home. The Fighters Support Croquette Set with 3 croquettes costs 800 yen. A regular croquette costs 250 yen each, so I'm conscious of the cost-effectiveness. Normally, I wouldn't spend 250 yen on a single croquette, but today I'm feeling generous. The Bacon Raclette Croquette was gooey and had a good salty bacon flavor. I bet it would be even better if it was hot. The Curry Roux Croquette had a strong curry roux flavor. It's like they turned a curry bun filling into a croquette. The Corn Cream Croquette was packed with corn kernels, more than cream. In the end, I ate them all. They were still good even when they cooled down, and I could easily reheat them in the microwave at home. They might make a good souvenir too.
