After having lunch at a nearby cafeteria, I searched for a cafe and found this place right next door. As soon as I entered the cafe, I could hear the chirping of parrots from the adjacent pet shop! There was just a sliding door separating the two places, so you could freely move between them. When I placed my order and went to check out the pet shop, I saw a very adorable American Screech Owl! There were also various animals like turtles and reptiles on display. My companion, who is not a fan of reptiles, decided not to come along, but for those who enjoy such creatures, this place would be a delight. In the cafe, I had a "Blend Coffee" (450 yen), which was a hand-picked coffee from the Karnakana region in South India, with a fresh and strong acidity. I also tried a "Cinnamon Banana Muffin" (280 yen), which had a strong cinnamon flavor, though the banana was not very noticeable. It was a delicious and refreshing muffin! The cafe's specialty is stew and sausages made with Ezo deer meat, and they also have a variety of alcoholic drinks and snacks. I am particularly intrigued by the "Overpriced Miso Ramen" (418 yen), so I definitely want to visit again! Thank you, "Kobaa"!

This is a shop that combines a pet shop and a cafe bar. The pet shop has birds, reptiles like snakes, rabbits, and turtles. I don't plan on buying any pets, but I wanted to see the animals on this day. The staff were very friendly and talked a lot, so I ended up spending a long time in the pet shop enjoying myself! Since I spent too much time in the pet shop, my friend who came with me went to the cafe bar first to drink coffee and wait for me. There is a space where you can drink coffee, eat dessert, and wait, so it might be okay to go with someone who is not interested in animals! You can go to the cafe bar through a door, so even if you don't like animals, just going to the cafe or having a drink there is also great! The cafe bar has a lot of greenery and is stylish. They have dishes made with Ezo deer meat, and this time I ordered deer stew and a set of deer salami and other snacks. I've only eaten deer meat about twice in my life, but both were easy to eat and very delicious. They also have deer sausage, which I was really interested in, so I hope I can try it next time! It's fun to see the animals, you can drink coffee or alcohol in a stylish place, and then go see the animals again, so you might not want to leave because you want to buy a pet, but it's a highly recommended shop!

They offer quirky sandwiches for those who just want a quick bite, but I decided to try the Ezo deer stew, which is at the top of the menu. The Ezo deer stew comes with a choice of bread, rice, or pasta, and I chose pasta. It was a unique and delicious game pasta dish that I had never experienced for lunch before. The pasta was cooked al dente, leaning towards the harder side, and the portion was moderate. The stew had a wine-infused flavor, and the deer meat was tender and flavorful. The option to sprinkle as much powdered cheese as you want was great, but I found that the cheese was a bit overpowering and it was better to eat the dish without it. The restaurant is located in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and is called Animal KOBAR. It is a non-smoking establishment with parking available for 10 cars on the left side of the building.
