I want to eat Sendai beef tongue steak in Sapporo. When you come to Sapporo, you can find anything. But what you want to eat is quite similar. While researching, I suddenly thought of beef tongue. I quickly search for a beef tongue specialty store. In Sapporo, there must be one nearby. It's different from a yakiniku restaurant, right? What place will it be today? If the photos look delicious, please click the "↓" button! ⇒ Try clicking it once! Menu The restaurant is located on the basement floor of a building. The owner has many years of experience in this field. He has been in this business for 60 years. Supporting him is his daughter. It's a very cozy and nice place. Although I was able to get in right away on this day, it seems quite crowded. The main dish is the beef tongue set meal!! It feels like I'm at a beef tongue restaurant in Sendai. Handmade Menma Menma is a favorite of mine. I don't eat it often except with ramen, but I actually like it. The Menma here is seasoned gently and cooked until soft, so it feels more like simmered bamboo shoots than Menma. I compared the portions. The left is the large portion, and the right is the regular portion. I ordered the beef tongue set meal and the large portion Gisuke set. The beef tongue is the same, but if you order the large portion, you get more quantity. It's about 3 slices more than the regular size. Side dishes include kimchi, pickled daikon radish, and miso-marinated fish. By the way, the miso-marinated fish is delicious. In Sendai, the restaurants often have it placed on the table, and it's unlimited, but it's really tasty. Here too, I hadn't eaten it in a while, but with this alone, you can easily eat two bowls of rice. It's spicy but delicious. The meat is surely carefully selected, right? The beef tongue that came out was cooked medium rare with a slight pink color. Therefore, it was a bit lukewarm. Well, since it's a shop that has been doing this for a long time, they must be serving it in the best and most delicious way. I like this kind of doneness, but if you're not a fan of pink meat, you might want to ask them to cook it well done at the beginning. The perfect combination. A large beef tongue and rice. The perfect combination. When you add miso-marinated fish, it becomes a trio, right? Of course, the shop also has beef tongue and rice, but if you do that, you'll want to have more rice. Hmm, I felt like I ate too much, so I had to reluctantly hold back on this day. That's because... Ramen arrived. The beef tongue set meal comes with the usual oxtail soup. The Gisuke set comes with ramen instead of oxtail soup, and this ramen came out when I ordered the set. It looks clear and is a quite simple ramen. You can choose between soy sauce and salt flavors, and it seems the flavor was quite strong. But on this day, this was served without asking anything. But, it was the right choice! Well, the oxtail broth is solid and clear, and it has such a delicious taste that you want to drink it all up. However, it doesn't seem like they just put noodles in oxtail soup. Beef tongue chashu? I think... It was cooked quite tenderly. So, it had a different taste compared to the grilled beef tongue, and the soup flavor had penetrated well. It seemed like beef tongue that had been stewed. A refreshing noodle Although I thought Sapporo had quite chewy noodles, it was a different type of noodle. It had a firm texture and was wavy. So, the noodles help to lift up the flavor of the broth that has a strong taste, and it was quite refreshing. This ramen is something I would want to eat from time to time if it was nearby. Oxtail soup Here is the oxtail soup that comes with the beef tongue set meal. If you look at it, the color of the soup is slightly different. This one is more transparent and has a lighter taste. Oxtail bones were included in this one. This is oxtail, so the ramen I had earlier must be beef tongue. But why does it feel like I'm eating something so different from grilled beef tongue at a yakiniku restaurant? Thickness?? Cut?? Rice?? Hmm, the beef tongue at a yakiniku restaurant and the beef tongue at a beef tongue restaurant are quite different.
