Personally, I like the bento shop "Nippon-tei." It is a chain store, but unlike other major chains, it has a cozy, homely atmosphere that I enjoy. I was in a hurry, so I bought lunch for my companion and picked up the "Deka 3 Bento," which has a big portion, for them. It cost 570 yen including tax. After a 10-minute wait, I received the bento and opened it at home. The fried chicken was so big that the lid wouldn't close properly. The color scheme was white and brown (laughs). The soy sauce flavor on the crispy fried chicken was strong and juicy, but there was more breading than meat, making it a bit difficult to eat once it cooled down. They also had a variety of side dishes like the "BB Menchi Katsu" and "BB Nori Bento," which looked delicious, so I plan to try those next time. Thanks to the Nippon-tei in Tsukisamu for the meal!

I came to eat nearby, so I picked up dinner for myself and my family. I got the "Deca 2 Bento" for 530 yen. It's a nationwide chain store that has been around for 30 years, but I had never heard of it before. Their website mentioned that you can avoid waiting by making a phone reservation, so I called ahead before going. They had a variety of menu options, and I was originally thinking of getting a regular fried chicken bento, but I heard that their large fried chicken is famous for being so big that the lid won't close. So I decided to switch to the Deca 2 bento. When I mentioned that the Deca 2 seemed popular, the staff said, "Regular fried chicken is also easy for women to eat." Personally, I think I should have just gone with the regular size fried chicken bento. When I called to make the reservation, they asked, "Are you sure you meant the Higashioka store and not the Tsukisamu store? People often mix them up." Inside the store, the staff were very humble and friendly. Thank you for the meal.

Today, my wife is staying overnight and not at home, so after eating ramen, I went to buy some snacks! I really wanted to eat "that" so I went to the closest store from Sumire. It was the Hokaben Nippon-tei Tsukisamu store. What I wanted to eat was the "Dekakara"!! I realized that I haven't eaten it in a long time. This is my second visit to the Tsukisamu store, and even though I knew it wouldn't be crowded at this time, it seemed like the staff was a bit overwhelmed. It also seemed like there were some changes or reductions in the menu, with many items crossed out on the menu posted on the wall, which made me feel a bit sad. I ordered the Dekakara as a single item with 2 pieces and a hamburger side dish. It took about 15 minutes for the cooking and receiving the order, but I got it safely!! I will have it as a side dish with alcohol when I get home. Since it's still warm, I will have it as it is without reheating it. I will start with the Dekakara. As expected, this fried chicken is delicious!! The amazing seasoning and the good quality of the meat make it so tasty♪ It has a different deliciousness compared to my favorite fried chicken from Ebetsu. Next is the hamburger. I quietly like this one♪ It's not a real hamburger, you can clearly taste that it was cooked from frozen, but that's what's good about it haha. It's moderately soft, and the cheap taste of the meat is nice! The pasta beneath the hamburger is also a nice touch♪ Eating just this makes me quite full. Preparing for the BiSH live concert in Sapporo in May, watching DVDs as a preview while drinking is the best! This food was fantastic as an accompaniment. I enjoyed it deliciously today too!! Thank you for the meal♪

I have ordered the large Karaage Bento from Japan-tei at three different stores before, and I must say, the Karaage at the Tsukisamu store is huge! It's a dream come true for Karaage lovers. One weekday, I wasn't satisfied with the menu at the company cafeteria, so I decided to order the large Karaage Bento from Japan-tei over the phone. They said it would be ready in about 15 minutes, which worked out perfectly on my way back from Shiroishi. I brought it back to the office to eat. I ordered the large size with extra servings, so the lid didn't close properly. The paper wrapping the bento was also a bit crumpled. When I opened it, I couldn't see the side dish of Kinpira. The hot Karaage was delicious, juicy, and seasoned with soy sauce. It went really well with the rice. Overall, I was very satisfied with my lunch today. Thank you for the meal.

Fried chicken or a large bento box at Hokaben Nihon-tei Tsukisamu store! Sapporo City, Toyohira-ku, Tsukisamu Higashi. On weekdays, I always have lunch at the restaurant, but sometimes I feel like having a bento box. Trying to control myself a little and trying to keep my wallet in check, I was a bit scared but decided to visit "Hokaben Nihon-tei" located on Kitano Street. The name "Hokaben" made me wonder if it's related to Hokka Hokka Tei, but after researching, it seems like they are not related. It is a chain store that is mainly located in Eastern Japan, with 9 stores in Sapporo, Hokkaido only... no wonder I haven't seen it much (laughs). But the name "Nihon-tei" and the large scale intrigued me (I apologize for judging by appearance... laughs). The interior of the store is like a regular bento shop, and there is a wide variety of bento boxes. And all of them are voluminous and satisfying! The large serving of rice is only an additional +20 yen, and it's free after 5 pm. Lately, I have been buying bentos from Hotto Motto a lot, and I was starting to get a little tired of it, so this place feels fresh. The menu includes fried chicken series, noriben series, stir-fried series, and for those who want a hearty meal, it's hard to choose because there are plenty of options. There are also authentic Chinese dishes, hamburgers, popular rice bowls, standard options, and silver salmon series, with a total of 50 varieties, which is attractive. ⚫ Salted Large Karaage Bento 3 for 490 yen. First, I tried the recommended Large Karaage Bento from the store. There was soy sauce and salt, but personally, I prefer salt for a refreshing taste. The freshly made bento has warm rice and the hot karaage is nice. The karaage is indeed large, almost overflowing from the lid, and one piece is satisfying enough. The salted karaage is refreshing, with a crispy outer layer and very juicy inside, very delicious. Normally, 3 pieces would be enough, and the satisfaction level is high. The bento also included burdock salad. On this day, the salted karaage was written as 570 yen on the notice, but it was actually 490 yen. When I asked the staff, they said it would increase next month... I'm glad I got it before the price went up, but 80 yen is quite a lot. It should have already been raised by now. If you want to eat more, there are 4-piece and 5-piece options, and there are plenty of other varieties, so I'll try more if I have the chance. By the way, there was a ticket for 100 yen off if you collect 5 bento wrappers. If it's nearby, I would collect them... Restaurant Name: Hokaben Nihon-tei Tsukisamu Store Address: 19-1-50 Tsukisamu Higashi 3-jo, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo City Phone: 011-856-4533 Business Hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00-19:00, after 19:00 by appointment Closed: Irregular holidays [Tabelog Rating] ☆3.01 [Tanuki Evaluation (Lunch)] ★Overall... 34 points ★Atmosphere... 5 points ★Food... 7 points ★Signboard Menu... 8 points ★Cost Performance... 7 points ★Likelihood to Repeat... 7 points

They specialize in bento boxes with large-sized fried chicken as their specialty. This Tsukisamu branch opened on July 31, 2013. ▼Menu▼ Their specialty is the "Deka Karaage Bento" along with other traditional bento options. For more details, please visit their website. ▼What I Ate▼ - Deka Karaage 3 Bento, Large Size: 500 yen (March 2017) The three large pieces of fried chicken, each the size of a child's fist, are well-seasoned with a soy-based flavor. The texture is just right with a juicy meat that is irresistible. The flavor complements the rice perfectly. ▼Impressions▼ (March 2017) This chain restaurant is known for its large-sized fried chicken. It has become the third-largest chain in Hokkaido, following the decline of Hokka Hokka Tei. This particular branch opened on Kitano Street on July 31, 2013, replacing the former Mugiya where the owner of Ramenya Takahashi used to work. As a fried chicken enthusiast, I have visited various branches of this chain, but I find this one to be 10 yen cheaper and with a better volume compared to others. The Deka Karaage 3 Bento I had this time was as large and delicious as always. The generous portion and flavorful, juicy meat paired perfectly with the rice. I look forward to visiting again.

I feel like this branch might offer slightly more generous portions compared to others. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Today marks the start of the Japan Series!! My wife and I didn't have the energy or money to travel to Hiroshima to watch the game, so we decided to watch it at home. Before that, we stopped by a restaurant for some delicious curry. The restaurant we visited was Hoka Ben Nippon-tei Tsukisamu branch. I had 6 pieces of Dekakara for myself, while my wife had the shrimp and crab bento, along with a few other items. We had them reheat the food in the oven to coincide with the start of the baseball game! In conclusion... the Dekakara here tasted a bit different from the one at the Fushiko branch. The flavor was lighter here. The color of the fried chicken was also a bit lighter. In terms of taste, the Fushiko branch wins. However, the pieces of meat were larger here. Regardless, the fried chicken was delicious no matter what. It's just a matter of personal preference. My wife also had the bento and shared a similar opinion. The squid fry we bought as a side also had a thick batter. It was delicious but not as good as the Fushiko branch. As for the hamburger, it was my first time trying it, and it was quite firm. The texture was good, but it lacked juiciness. I probably won't buy the hamburger again. Overall, the food was delicious and passed the test. We'll have to try out other branches in the future!! It was a tasty meal! Thank you!! Normally, I would end the review here, but baseball!! We couldn't hit at all... what's up with Nakata!! And Ohtani didn't look too good and then he got hit... if we lose the first game, it's going to be tough for us. I was feeling frustrated the whole time!! If we lose tomorrow, it's going to be really bad. Come on, Fighters!!

On Sunday, I was busy with various chores around the house, so I decided to have a quick lunch at a place that had caught my attention before, Japan Tei Tsukisamu branch. I didn't realize that it was Japan Tei until I saw the sign in front of the store. The store had a strong smell of oil, which made me a bit hesitant, but I still decided to try their fried chicken bento. The menu was a bit confusing with both standard and original items listed. I ordered the "M Kara Bento" (490 yen tax included) and my wife ordered the "Pork Bowl" (490 yen tax included). The store was getting crowded, so I went back to the car while my wife picked up the bentos. The strong smell of fried chicken filled the car, making me a bit worried. When we got home, we had the bentos with instant miso soup. My "M Kara Bento" had five large pieces of fried chicken, which was a bit too much for me. The taste was okay, but the greasiness and heaviness started to get to me as I ate. My wife also found her "Pork Bowl" to be too rich and heavy. Overall, Japan Tei seemed more suitable for meat lovers or those with bigger appetites, rather than us, who prefer healthier options. I used to frequent Japan Tei when I lived near the Higashi Sapporo branch a long time ago, but the menu and portion sizes seem to have changed since then. We might not revisit this place in the future, as it's not really our cup of tea anymore.

Today in December 2015, I was tired from shopping, so I decided to have a bento box for dinner. I went to a traditional bento shop and looked at the menu. There were not many fish bento options, but a lot of fried food choices. My son had the sweet and sour pork bento, and I had the Wiener GO bento with sausages on top. The bento came with coupons, and if you collect 5, you get a 100 yen discount. Also, after 5 pm, you can get a free extra serving of rice. The sausages were thick and tasty, and the rice was delicious. ✿ฺ(๑´ڡ`๑)✿ฺ.

The end of the month is busy, so I can't go out for lunch. I remember there was a bento shop nearby... I'll look it up on Tabelog. Ah, this shop "Nihon-tei Tsukisamu Branch". Their website has a list of stores and menus, it's such a wonderful modern convenience. I call and order the "Mantoku Pork Ginger Bento (600 yen)". They say it will be ready in 15 minutes, so I'll just pick it up then. It's great that I can have a warm freshly made bento. When I pick it up, I'm greeted warmly and handed the bento, and the deal is done. It's nice to be sent off with a smile and "Thank you, see you again". Back at the office, I make some tea and open the bento! The bento is warm and steaming, mainly fried food but looks delicious. The pork ginger is a bit thin and almost paper-like. Close call. The juicy and well-seasoned fried chicken, croquette, and potato salad fill me up, and the classic spaghetti napoletana is a quintessential bento side dish. The rice crushed under the seaweed is a bit sad, but it's all part of the generous portion. Now I can keep going strong in the afternoon. Thank you for the meal.
