Chuka soba Katsumoto @ Mizusashi Special Chuka Soba [¥1300] Large serving [¥150] ■ Visit date June 7, 2023, Wednesday 19:33- ■ Nearest station JR Sobu Line Suidobashi Station ■ Business hours 11:00-20:00 ■ Regular holiday Sundays, Mondays (irregular holidays) This time, I visited Katsumoto after a long time. The nearest station is Suidobashi, but on this day, I came from Korakuen Station on the Marunouchi Line, passing Tokyo Dome, haha. I visited in the evening after work. I arrived around 19:30, and there were 4 people in line. After a short wait, I entered the store. When you enter the store, there is a ticket machine on the right side. There are counter seats and table seats. I was guided to the same seat as last time when I visited, haha. I thought the Chuka Soba here and the one at Kanda Katsumoto were the same at first, but they feel different. Both are extremely delicious. The soup at Katsumoto here has a strong dashi flavor, and I feel like it would be delicious even if used for oden. Of course, I finished every last drop of the soup. A simple yet elegant bowl. Highly recommended shop! Last order was at 19:45, and they promptly closed the shop at the exact time. * This is just my personal impression. #ChukaSobaKatsumoto #SpecialChukaSoba #SuidobashiGourmet #KandaKatsumoto #Ginza85 #SobuLineGourmet #Ramen #Ramen #ramen #Noodlestagram #RamenCrawl #WantToConnectWithPeopleWhoLoveRamen

After work on September 22, I saw on social media that a new menu item, "Cold Chinese noodles," was starting today as we approach the beginning of autumn. The idea of cold noodles made me excited, and even though there had been a similar menu item a few years ago that I missed out on, this time I was determined to try it. I visited the restaurant on the first night of the new menu. The place was about 70% full when I arrived around 7 PM. I ordered the Cold Chinese noodles from the ticket machine and eagerly waited for my bowl. The presentation was just like regular Chinese noodles, but with three ice cubes floating on top. I tried a sip of the cold soup with a ladle, and to my surprise, it was delicious. The cold soup still had a rich flavor profile. The more I drank, the more the umami taste spread in my mouth. Next, I tried the thin noodles which were cooked perfectly. They disappeared quickly as I slurped them up. The portion size was a bit small, which was a shame because I wanted more. The char siu also seemed to have a unique twist to it. Overall, it was a well-balanced and delicious bowl of noodles. I'll definitely be back soon to enjoy it again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Today, I went to "Katsumoto" for lunch after a long time. They were offering a limited 30 servings of their special Chashu rice bowl (350 yen), so I decided to get it along with a regular bowl of ramen (850 yen), making a total of 1,200 yen. However, the taste was worth the price. The ramen had a light seafood-based broth that was not overpowering, and it paired well with the noodles. The Chashu rice bowl had tender Chashu pork and tasty shimeji mushrooms that added a nice texture. Both dishes were delicious. I would definitely go back if I have the chance.

The dried fish flavor is strong. Not only that, but the soy sauce soup is so addictive that you keep going back for more... What's the secret? Daishoken has a unique twist to it. I visited around 2 pm on a weekday and was able to sit without waiting. I ordered the basic Chuka Soba for 950 yen. The beautiful layer of oil on top, chopped green onions, and sliced chashu are visually appealing. The thin, slightly chewy noodles are perfect with the soup. The soup is not too salty, with a subtle seasoning. It's a delicious broth that you can't get enough of. The satisfaction that you can't see just by looking at it. Thank you for the meal.

Just a 2-minute walk from Suitengumae Station West Exit. I visited on a weekday afternoon to avoid the long lines that usually form on weekends. With a ranking in the top 5000 on Tabelog, I had been curious about this place for a while but was put off by the crowds. However, on a weekday, it was quite empty, with only about 30% of the usual customers around 2 pm. The turnover rate seemed fast, with bowls of ramen being served every 5 minutes or so. The shoyu-based soup had a rich flavor of simmered dried fish that was comforting. The noodles were not straight or curly but seemed to be specially made to complement the soup. The thickly sliced pork shoulder was surprisingly light and paired well with the soup. I was also intrigued by the egg rice bowl and the chashu rice, but I'll save those for next time.

JR Suidobashi Station is a 2-minute walk from the west exit, towards Jimbocho on Suidobashi Nishi-dori. It has a modern Japanese-style exterior with white lanterns hanging outside. The interior is clean and all seating is at the counter. The menu offers only Chuka Soba (Chinese-style ramen), with various toppings available. Chuka Soba (September 20, 2023): The soup has a sparkling clear surface with a faint aroma of dried bonito that spreads throughout the mouth. The combination of animal-based umami is delicious. The noodles are medium-thick straight noodles with a smooth texture that blends well with the soup. The toppings include chashu, menma, naruto, negi, and nori. The chashu has a good texture and a solid pork flavor. In a sea of rich and heavy ramen options, the popularity of this light and flavorful ramen is genuine. Bon appétit.

I ordered the special Chinese ramen after 14:00. The soy sauce soup with a strong bonito flavor was delicious and elegant without being heavy. It had naruto, menma, green onions, seaweed, chashu, and flavored egg, all of which were tasty and I couldn't stop eating. Highly recommended. Thank you for the meal! \(^o^)/

I visited a ramen shop within walking distance from Suitengumae Station on a holiday night. The exterior has a nice Japanese style. I ordered the Chuka Soba (950 yen) and enjoyed the gentle soy sauce flavor with the umami of dried sardines in the soup. The thin noodles also matched well with the soup. Thank you for the meal.

The atmosphere is like a soba restaurant. The ramen has a light taste but a rich oiliness. The service is fast, and even if there is a line, the wait is not too long. In the summer, it seems like the door is left wide open, but I'm not sure about the winter.

I ordered the special Chinese ramen for 1300 yen. The soy sauce soup is a bit strong with a hint of dried fish flavor. It has a nostalgic taste but also feels refined. The chashu is moist, but I'm not a big fan of it. The seasoned egg had a strong flavor. It's the kind of taste that makes you want to have a beer.

Suddenly, I felt like eating Chinese soba here and decided to go for it. It was the right decision. Since the lingering summer heat was continuing, I wanted to avoid waiting in line and endured my hunger until around 13:40 when I visited. The area around Suidobashi is surprisingly an office district and a student town, so it gets extremely crowded during lunchtime. But I managed to avoid the rush by going at that time. It might have been my first visit this year. I noticed that the menu had changed as the option for "Rich Sardine Soba" was no longer available. I prefer regular Chinese soba, so I was glad that option was still there. This time, I ordered the "Flavored Egg Chinese Soba." I was seated at the counter in front of the kitchen and the meal was served in about 5-6 minutes. The aroma of the sardine broth wafted from the soup. The presentation was also nice, with a nostalgic feel. The soy sauce broth with naruto, menma, green onions, chashu, seaweed, and flavored egg. The price was typical for Tokyo. The curly medium-thin noodles were delicious, perfectly blending with the soup. It was a comforting meal. I finished eating and felt satisfied. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back!

Delicious! I can't find any other words! It's surprisingly delicious! It's too good to drink after eating! It's a taste that you want to eat before drinking! I can't explain it, so please try it for yourself. It was so happy. Sorry for the poorly taken photo. It's much more delicious than the picture!

Saturday lunch. I was looking for a new restaurant to try, and this place happened to be one of them, so I visited for the first time. I arrived just before 12 o'clock and was able to get in without much of a wait. Even though customers continued to come in, the turnover was quick, so there wasn't a long line. I ordered the large portion of ramen. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I could smell the good aroma of dried fish, but the soup wasn't too strong in dried fish flavor, and it had a nice balance of sweetness. The thin curly noodles held up the soup well. The toppings were bamboo shoots, fish cake, seaweed, green onions, and chashu pork, all classic ingredients that made the ramen enjoyable. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing work, I saw a post on a social networking site about a new dish at the Chinese soba restaurant Katamoto in Suidobashi - "Chashu cooked rice". It sounded so delicious with two types of pork, so I decided to visit even though it wasn't planned. I arrived around 7:30 pm, hoping they still had some left. Luckily, there were 30 servings available. I ordered a large bowl of Chinese soba and the new Chashu cooked rice. The soup had a wonderful aroma and the noodles were perfect. I forgot to add green onions as a topping, but it was still delicious. The Chashu cooked rice was visually appealing and tasted amazing with just the right amount of saltiness. Overall, it was a fantastic meal. I hope the rich soup will make a comeback soon. It was a delightful dining experience, and I look forward to visiting again.

Chuka soba for 950 yen. Arrived before 3pm on a weekday with no waiting. Served in about 5 minutes. The soup is rich with plenty of dried fish oil, giving it a punchy flavor from the smell to the taste. It also has a fragrant aroma of mackerel and bonito flakes, creating a robust soup. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles with a smooth and chewy texture. The pork shoulder chashu is moist, tender, and juicy. It was great that it stayed hot until the last bite.

I arrived a little after 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday and was able to enter without waiting in line. It was an unusual time for lunch, so I decided to check if Kachimotosan was open for business, and I hit the jackpot. This was my first time at the Kachimotosan in Suidobashi. I really wanted to try the special ramen, but since it was a bit of an odd time, I opted for the Chuka Soba for 950 yen including tax. It arrived in about 3 minutes. I took a sip of the soup. The soup was absolutely delicious, just as I had expected. It had a slightly thick texture with a deep umami flavor, the right amount of saltiness, sweetness, sourness, and bitterness in perfect balance. The oil film on the surface of the soup kept it piping hot. The noodles were medium-thin with a smooth texture and a slight curl. They paired perfectly with the soup. The bamboo shoots, chashu pork, and green onions were all delicious choices. Compared to the Kachimotosan in Jinbocho, this one had a more traditional feel. Personally, I slightly prefer the Jinbocho location, but this bowl of ramen was also absolutely delicious.

The rich flavor of the fish and bonito broth in the ramen topped with seasoned soft-boiled egg is exceptional. The soup stays hot thanks to the layer of oil on top, allowing it to be enjoyed until the last drop. The two slices of pork shoulder are delicious, and even the green onions and narutomaki taste good. Perfect. Very satisfying. However, the rich pork bone-based ramen has been removed from the menu. I wonder if they will bring it back someday. When you get off at Suidobashi Station, you will find a newly opened Kagurazaka…Katsumoto, and next to it is Tsujita…There are various other charming places on the adjacent street…such an attractive neighborhood~

I hadn't been to a place serving delicious shoyu ramen in a while, as I had only been going to tonkotsu or kotteri ramen places recently. So, I decided to visit this place for a change. I arrived a little after the 11 am opening time, and it was already full. Seeing the case of Asakusa Kaikaro in the kitchen got me excited. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I finally got a seat, and my bowl of ramen arrived 5 minutes later. Wow, it looked beautiful. This was exactly what I was looking for. The soup had a strong flavor of dried fish but wasn't overpowering. The medium-thin noodles from Asakusa Kaikaro matched perfectly with the soup, creating a smooth texture. The service was polite, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

Thanks to their continuous operation, we were able to visit without waiting in line. Around 4:30 pm, the restaurant was not empty but about half full of customers. Truly a famous restaurant. My husband ordered the Chuka Soba, and I ordered the Ajitama Chuka Soba. It was the most delicious soy sauce ramen I have ever had, with a refreshing yet deep flavor. If I were to have one last meal in my life, it would be with the soup from Katsumoto. It was incredibly delicious. I will definitely go back! Thank you for the meal.

17:57 Arrived at Chinatown Ramen Katsumoto in front of Suidobashi Station. Ordered the Chinatown Ramen for 950 yen. The noodles were thin straight noodles from Asakusa Kaikaro, with a firm and good texture that blended well with the soup. The soup was a shoyu broth with a strong flavor of dried bonito and mackerel. It was not exceptionally delicious, but it was so good that I almost finished it all. The two slices of pork shoulder chashu were surprisingly thick and tasty. The menma, green onions, and nori were average. The black roasted shichimi seasoning on the table was delicious. The portion of noodles was sufficient, and overall, it was a simple but good restaurant.

Why is this so delicious? It's a classic Chinese ramen with tender chashu and a great overall balance. I want another bowl of the soup. Topped with chopped green onions, chashu, bamboo shoots, fish cake, flavored egg, and thin noodles in a soup made with chicken oil, bonito flakes, and kombu.
