I made a last-minute reservation for the day and was able to get a spot at the counter! The interior was beautiful and had a high-class decoration which was better than I expected. The grilled hokke fish was delicious, as well as the sea urchin and crab porridge! Many people were ordering the party course, and the sushi chef's skill in making sushi right in front of us was impressive! The sea urchin ordered separately was explained to be of different types, and the one taken out of the saltwater was said to be fresher! The explanation was nice, and indeed, it was delicious!

First up, a seafood platter with 6 types of sashimi, followed by scallop and mushroom butter sauté, simple but delicious! Then the classic Genghis Khan, corn tempura, and asparagus tempura, leading into a sushi platter. Always a hit with guests from Tokyo! The Hokkaido-themed meal is complete with Kitakari ice cream.

Otaru Tei is a restaurant in Hokkaido that is filled with local flavors. It is recommended for welcoming visitors from outside the area. Whenever you visit, you can enjoy delicious food and feel happy. This time, I compared the taste of hairy crab and Hanasaki crab. I also had fresh asparagus, corn tempura, and creamy sea urchin without any fishy taste. It was pure bliss.

After golf, I visited this restaurant. Every dish was carefully prepared and very delicious. The sashimi was unique to Hokkaido, and the Hanasaki crab was exquisite. From simmered dishes to sushi, they kept me satisfied until the end. I was really full but completely satisfied. However, Susukino was crowded with people.

I used it for a meal with a customer. There are many delicious restaurants in Susukino, but the main store of Otaru-tei that I visited this time was excellent in terms of private rooms, food, the proprietress, and the variety of drinks. First of all, the lovely objects and small garden on the way to the private room create a very nice atmosphere. The food, including fish, meat, and sushi, was all very delicious, and I felt relieved and healed by the meatball soup in the middle. When I asked if there was a separate residence because it was the main store, I was told that it was within 100 meters! I think such rooms are unique to Sapporo, not Tokyo. Next time, I will definitely visit the separate residence!

The main branch of Otaru-tei seems to have a better atmosphere and better food than the annex. The sashimi is fresh and lives up to the name of Otaru. The grilled cod with yuzu sauce is well-cooked. It's a tradition at Otaru-tei to end the meal with a proper sushi course of 8 pieces, which is satisfying. The octopus egg sushi roll is refreshing and delicious.

I went to Otaru-tei main store! Every dish was amazing! The presentation and seasoning were all excellent! We had a meal in a private room with a small number of people! They also had thorough COVID-19 measures in place! Highly recommended!

I visited the restaurant at 20:00 on a regular day. It is a seafood restaurant located on the 9th floor of the New Kitahoshi Building, about a 1-minute walk from Susukino Station on the subway. The restaurant has a total of 88 seats. The private room I used was attended by two staff members, a kimono-clad female proprietor and a waitress. I ordered the "Hokkaido Treasure Ship Course for 8000 yen" this time. The contents and evaluation are as follows. Hello everyone. I have to go to Sapporo Station for some errands. Maybe I'll watch the movie "Even if you drop your smartphone" while I'm at it. It's a movie full of jokes, and the lesson is that dropping your smartphone is a hassle! It was still a bright evening, so let's head to Otaru-tei Honpo in Susukino to use up my d points before the end of the month. They open from 3pm on weekends and holidays, which is great for starting to drink early. The appearance of the curtain and the interior have a luxurious feel, not what you would expect from a sushi izakaya. I made a reservation on Hot Pepper for the 5000 yen course with all-you-can-drink on Saturdays. Cheers. First, the seasonal simmered dish with shrimp, scallops, konjac, and radish with well-flavored taste that makes the first beer disappear quickly. The sashimi, seared octopus and flounder fin, were excellent. Seafood gratin in an apple-shaped bowl, let's have some wine. The wine on the all-you-can-drink menu is Otaru wine, which would surely delight tourists. The sushi has a weak vinegar taste in the rice, which is not my preference, but you can ask for more, so it's enough. It's an omakase course, but they ask about your dislikes, and the octopus and shishamo were delicious. The fried food, crispy shishamo tempura, and steamed egg custard with sauce were also tasty! With 6 drinks, 15 pieces of sushi, sashimi, and other dishes, all for 5000 yen, the value for money is amazing! You can also use d points if you're with DOCOMO. The chefs are good at conversation, so it was a fun time. I recommend spending a relaxing time with drinks on early Saturday evenings. Thank you for the meal.

As expected in Hokkaido, all the fish was delicious. The seared sea urchin was also tasty. Personally, I liked the hokke the best. It was large and had plenty of meat. The prices were a bit high for a chain izakaya.

Different from regular izakayas, this one is calm and relaxing. Private rooms are especially great for class reunions. They offer course meals with 2-hour all-you-can-drink for 5,000 yen. Hokkaido local sake is also available.
