It's been a while since I posted something (´-`).。oO My personal major event has ended, and with no constraints, I've been indulging in eating a lot and starting to gain weight, but winter has so many delicious things, so it can't be helped (laughs). On the second day of my trip to Hakodate, I went to another restaurant first, but it wasn't impressive, so I left early and was looking for another place when I found Moriyama-san's restaurant! The exterior and interior were very beautifully done, with a touch of luxury. The appetizer was carefully prepared and delicious, raising my expectations. I mentioned that I had already eaten a bit, and they kindly prepared a moderate amount of sashimi for me. It was delicious! I'm a little picky about shellfish, and I can only eat them at very fresh and trustworthy restaurants, but the surf clam, Ezo abalone, and another shellfish (I forgot the name) were all delicious. The freshness was so good that I could really taste it. I felt confident that this restaurant was safe. The ingredients, of course, but also the way they are prepared must be exquisite! And then, cod and shirako! We call it "tachi" or "tatsu," but in Hokkaido, it's called "tachi." There was no fishy smell at all, and it was rich and delicious! The seasoning was also exquisite! In winter, I eat quite a bit of shirako, but I haven't had such delicious shirako in a while. I want to eat it again (;o;). Sake was also carefully selected, with various types from different regions. I told them my preferences and they recommended a perfect match for me. Sashimi, cod and shirako, and this sake. This is a dangerous combination (laughs), but I'll keep drinking. I also had grilled conger eel. They cut it in half to suit my mouth, but it was still big and piping hot, which was a challenge (laughs). But it was delicious!! It was plump and full of flavor. The head chef was very friendly and we had a pleasant time chatting about fish, sake, Hakodate gourmet food, and baseball, among other things. We heard about a ramen shop called Shokuyoken that caught our attention while exploring Hakodate, and since it was the head chef's favorite place, we went there the next day without hesitation (laughs). It was a sushi restaurant that I definitely want to visit again soon!
