Welcome.---------- July 2021 ----------Hakodate Station AreaFound while walking around Hakodate Morning Market |o| °д°)ノHelloThey offer feather-topped taiyaki, pasta pizza, and of course, alcohol. It's a complex mix of genres that you can enjoy for a meal or drinks. The owner is very polite and uses fresh apples. They have taiyaki with various fillings, showing great creativity. Their tapioca-filled taiyaki has a chewy texture with a perfect balance of sweetness. The "apple and cream taiyaki" is a collaboration of stewed apples and custard, similar to apple pie. In conclusion, I wish I had tried the "egg and bacon" with a soft-boiled egg. ===========

This is a taiyaki shop located on the outskirts of Hakodate Morning Market. They also offer pasta and pizza. I tried the apple cream and bacon & egg flavors. The dough tasted a bit frozen. I thought the idea of putting apple cream in taiyaki was interesting.

While strolling through the Hakodate Station morning market, I came across a unique shop among all the seafood stalls - a taiyaki shop called "Kitagari." I was surprised to see a taiyaki shop in a place where there are mostly seafood vendors catering to tourists. Despite being drawn to the seafood, I couldn't resist the temptation of trying their ham and egg taiyaki. It was my first time trying a taiyaki with such a filling, so I bought one immediately. I had to wait a few minutes for it to be cooked, but it was worth it to have it fresh. Unfortunately, I got distracted by something else and ended up eating it cold, but I can imagine it must taste even better warm. The sweet outer shell, savory filling, and the semi-cooked egg inside were a delightful combination. Next time, I'll make sure to eat it fresh off the grill!

When you think of taiyaki, you might imagine something sweet, but this place offers taiyaki that could be considered a meal. Of course, they have the regular sweet red bean paste and cream flavors, but my recommendation would be the bacon and cheese, or the taiyaki with a half-cooked egg inside. Depending on the type, you can choose between a regular skin or a chewy skin. Each one is quite filling, and I was satisfied with just one. They even have taiyaki with squid yakisoba inside. My favorite is the cheese flavor. The creamy cheese filling is irresistible. It seems they make each order fresh.

This is a taiyaki shop that opened in Hakodate Asaichi market. I happened to pass by this taiyaki shop while on a business trip to Hakodate, feeling tired of the smell of seafood, and was attracted by the sweet smell. They don't have pre-made taiyaki, so you have to wait for about 10 minutes. If you're in danger of missing your train on JR, it might be better to give up. I bought red bean paste and cream taiyaki (each 130 yen), and they had a simple and nostalgic taste. Since I ate the cream taiyaki on the JR train and it had cooled down, it wasn't very delicious. In conclusion: Eat the taiyaki freshly baked on the spot! Not recommended as a souvenir.

The small taiyaki shop that opened in the morning market has a retro interior and is very cute♪ The taiyaki come in two types of dough - fluffy and chewy, with six filling options including coarse red bean paste, cream, and cheese. The recommended flavors are "fluffy red bean paste" and "chewy cream", but the cheese flavor is a bit heavy. They are particular about serving freshly made taiyaki, so there is hardly any pre-made ones. So don't give up! The freshly baked taiyaki is definitely delicious if you wait for about 10 minutes. Oh, and they have a new "bacon cheese" flavor for 150 yen, as well as a seasonal "chestnut-filled coarse red bean paste" for 150 yen. They also had squid ink manju for 100 yen, which I didn't notice before. On auspicious days, the red bean paste is only 100 yen, so make sure to check the calendar☆ There are long chairs at the back of the shop, and drinks are also available, so you can eat in as well.

The shop was affected by the tsunami from the Tohoku earthquake and is currently closed. Our hearts go out to them. We look forward to their reopening.

I found this taiyaki shop at a Hokkaido exhibition. They had a Hokkaido-style taiyaki with melon cream inside. The outside was thin and crispy, while the inside was fluffy. The melon cream had a rich melon flavor. It was a bit pricey at 250 yen, but it was delicious.

I went to a sweets shop called "Hokkari" in Hokkaido. Actually, I didn't go all the way to Hokkaido, but bought some at the Tenmaya department store in front of Hamamatsu Station where they had a store. It's pronounced "Hokkari." This time, I bought some coin cakes. It was 1,080 yen for 3 bags. I bought 2 maple and 1 strawberry. As the name suggests, the coin pancakes were the size of a 500 yen coin.

Quietly a memorandum and image gallery replacement--- --- --- --- "45th Hokkaido Product Exhibition" ~From the Northern Country, Heartwarming Gifts.~ (2016/12/08-12/15 @ Maruei 8th Floor Grand Event Hall) *†*:;;;:*†*:;;;:*†*:;;;:*†*:;;;:*†*:;;;:*†*:;;;:*†*:;;;:*†*Drawn to the captivating visuals, I couldn't help but make a purchase.■ Hanetsuki Taiyaki Hokkaido Potatoes and Cheese ... ¥240 (tax included)It's like a snack or appetizer to eat before having soft serve ice cream.←Still terrible at describing it*(Sorry for the unappealing cross-section image)The crispy "wings" part was delicious.■ Hanetsuki Taiyaki with Red Bean Paste ... ¥150 (tax included)I had this after dinner at home. (Huh?)It was quite burnt, past the golden brown color, but the light red bean paste was elegant and fragrant, creating a strange but tasty combination with the crispy and slightly burnt dough. In the end, red bean paste is the best for taiyaki.Thank you for the meal☆

I bought it at YokaDo in Kotoni, it was a limited edition item only available on weekends: Potato and Cheese Taiyaki (240 yen) with a special price for IY Kotoni. The sign said they only had "Apple and Cream" flavor. The dough is sweet and soft, giving a nostalgic feel. The potato used is North Akari, so it's on the sweeter side. The combination of potato + cheese saltiness and the sweetness of the dough is great. It was a bit disappointing that it was cold from sitting out, but it still tasted delicious even when cold. Although it's not the most cost-effective, I'm interested in trying the IY Kotoni limited edition Apollo chocolate cream, and I do like the soft taiyaki that you can't find elsewhere, so I would buy it again if I have the chance.
