One of the popular souvenirs at New Chitose Airport is Shiretoko Sky Sweets. These are very cute mini donuts! I bought them as a souvenir because I really liked the shape of the Love Bear Eurasian Siskin. They were so cute and everyone was delighted. They were delicious, but the amount inside was small, so they disappeared in an instant. It seems like they put a lot of effort into them, so they are in small quantities. Thank you for the delicious meal! ✨✨

First time at this store! The Kumagoron is so cute, and they have a lot of delicious souvenirs. I bought a bunch, but wanted something with more impact so I splurged on this one for 4,230 yen. It's a shame they didn't have the one with penguins, rabbits, or tigers in it. Still, my wife and kids thought it was cute, so I'm very satisfied. The taste wasn't really my thing, but I wasn't expecting much in that department anyway.

In March 2023, I bought a delicious donut from a sweets shop in Chubetsu called Kumagoron, located in the 2nd floor of the New Chitose Airport domestic terminal. The donut had a hole in the middle with a moist texture and a natural sweetness from honey. It was a healthy option as it was not fried in oil. Overall, it was a satisfying treat.

The cute donuts were desired by the children, so I decided to bring home sweet potato donuts as souvenirs. They were not too sweet and we enjoyed them, but surprisingly they were quite filling! They are great as souvenirs because they are cute, but for personal consumption, they might be a bit on the pricey side.

The "Kumagoron Donut" sold at the New Chitose Airport's "Shiretoko Sky Sweets" does not have a hole. It has a cute bear face peeking out from where the hole would be. The donut I purchased was the "Hokkaido Kabocha @350" which had a moist and fluffy texture with a sweet flavor. The main ingredient seems to be "kabocha powder," but the taste of kabocha seeds adds a nice crunchy accent. This donut is steamed instead of fried, making it lower in calories and suitable for those who are health-conscious. The staff at the store were friendly and the service was excellent. Thank you for the meal.

I received it as a souvenir before and it was delicious, but not only that. The donuts are incredibly fluffy and tasty. They have a cute bear face peeking out on top. Today, I'm getting some for myself. The first time I tried it, I thought the bear face was chocolate, but it was actually a fluffy sponge cake. It was so cute that I couldn't bear to finish eating it. Today, I bought a variety of flavors as souvenirs. Everyone's smiles come to mind (*^^*)

Let's get some White Day gifts here. I bought two adorable donuts. They gave me a free coffee with the donut purchase, so I added a cute bear-shaped cookie! In love with Bear Cookie 980 yen, Cat Cookie 420 yen, White Chocolate 390 yen, cute small box 100 yen. Thank you for the delicious treats! (^^)v

I bought a product called Pink☆Choco. I felt like eating something soft, but I couldn't resist when I saw this product, which I'm not sure if it's a classic or limited edition. I had to buy it. They're not using easy characters, they're competing with original ones, and they're doing their best in Tohoku and Hokkaido. I can't drive far, so I feel happy to be able to eat it again in New Chitose like this. 4 left.

This is the New Chitose store of Shiretoko Factory located in Nakashibetsu. There is a bear peeking out of the hole in the round donut. I purchased the top 3 popular items this time, but there are also various decorated ones. I tried the Hokkaido pumpkin flavor. Pumpkin seeds are sprinkled on the donut. This type of snack is often greasy, but it wasn't too noticeable. The dough was fluffy and the sweetness was mild. It was quite large and satisfying. I didn't have high expectations for the taste, but it was delicious enough. If I have the chance, I might try purchasing it in Nakashibetsu.

This is a store located inside New Chitose Airport, known for its Kumagoron donuts, called "Shiretoko Factory". In addition to souvenir donuts, they also sell soft serve ice cream. I discovered a simple milk soft serve (¥300) that does not contain Kumagoron, and enjoyed it on a chair near the store. It has a rich yet smooth milk flavor, which I find delicious. Although I'm not sure about the details, it gives off a Hokkaido vibe. After eating miso ramen at New Chitose Airport, I am looking forward to trying their soft serve ice cream next time.

■ Hokkaido Milk... 290 yen including tax
・ Diameter: approximately 7.7cm
・ Height: approximately 4.3cm
・ Weight: approximately 57g
The most popular item in the shop. This donut is baked at the Siretoko Factory, a sweets and donut workshop in Nakashibetsu-cho, Hokkaido, using Hokkaido milk. The shape of this donut is said to be inspired by the mountain range of Shiretoko. From the hole in the center of the donut, the "Kumagoron," a white bear living in the forests of Nakashibetsu-cho, peeks out, which is very cute. Since it is steamed baked instead of fried, it is not greasy and has a fluffy texture. Toasting it lightly in a toaster oven makes the outside crispy and fragrant. It is not cheap, but it is a cute and delicious steamed baked donut.
■ Hokkaido Pumpkin... 290 yen including tax
・ Diameter: approximately 7.8cm
・ Height: approximately 3.8cm
・ Weight: approximately 60g
The second most popular item in the shop. This donut is made by kneading Hokkaido pumpkin flesh and seeds into the dough. Like the Hokkaido Milk donut, the Kumagoron peeks out from the hole in the center. The dough is pumpkin-colored, making the white Kumagoron stand out. It has a subtle pumpkin flavor, and toasting it lightly enhances the crispy and delicious outer layer.
■ Hot Coffee... Free
When you purchase a product, they will serve you a cup of hot coffee as a complimentary service. It is a small paper cup, but it is a generous gesture. A much-appreciated service.

This visually resembles a yellow mouse, but it's probably not related at all. And it's not a mouse, it's called "Kumagoron," so it's probably a bear... maybe. There were various types, but since it's close to Christmas, I decided to buy the most Christmas-like one! It's a fluffy, non-fried donut coated with chocolate. Despite being heavily coated with chocolate, the donut itself is not overly sweet, so I personally find it delicious (*´ч`*). The Kumagoron stuck in the donut hole seems to be made of the same dough. It's tasty and cute, so it could be a nice little gift (*´ڡ`*)♡ They also had a mini-sized assortment, which could be good for sharing at work ( ˊᵕˋ ) Thanks for the meal!

After saying goodbye to my friend at the airport, I thought to myself, "I have to eat soft serve ice cream before I leave!" I wandered around, trying to decide where to go. Then I remembered a place I had never tried before - Siretoko Sky Sweets! I ordered their cute bear-shaped soft serve ice cream with a donut on top. I chose the milk and salt flavor because it looked refreshing and delicious. The price was 380 yen. The soft serve was creamy and milky, with a hint of salt that added a simple sweetness. The bear-shaped donut had a lemon-flavored chocolate coating, which made it cute but a bit dry. Overall, it was a nice treat at Siretoko.

The bag and the appearance of the donuts are so cute, so I bought the Shiretoko Donuts (¥780) to enjoy on the plane. There are 6 different flavors in total, with 2 of each, making it a pack of 12 donuts. I tried a few and here are some highlights:
First, the adorable bear-shaped donut, which is the smallest size, almost a bite-sized. It tasted like milk, with a distinct milk flavor that set it apart from a regular donut.
Next is the pumpkin flavor, which is quite unusual for a donut. But you can really taste the pumpkin in it, making for an interesting combination with the sweet treat.
Then there's the matcha red bean flavor, the only one with a Japanese twist. You can taste the matcha in the dough and the red beans add a nice touch to it.
Overall, the donuts are fluffy, moist, and easy to eat. They have a gentle flavor that kids would enjoy as well. They are not greasy, more like a madeleine in texture, which I found quite pleasant. The coffee and chocolate flavors are also delicious, and overall, it was a delightful treat. Enjoyed the cute donuts!

On the second day of my business trip to Hokkaido in August 2019, I decided to try the famous Komagoron soft serve ice cream with salt flavor. Despite my initial hesitation due to feeling too old for it, I was pleasantly surprised by the refreshing taste of the ice cream. The emerald green soft serve came with a cute donut in the shape of a bear's face. I ended up enjoying it at the store front while savoring the unique combination of sweet and salty flavors. The coffee served with it was a nice touch, and I realized that sometimes we miss out on delicious experiences by letting our preconceptions or pride get in the way.

I found cute donuts at the ANA Festa diagonally in front of me. I bought them as souvenirs for my grandchildren, and also got one for myself (lol). Each tiny and cute donut has a face drawn on it. You can eat it in one bite, and the taste is good too. It's a bit expensive, 980 yen for a pack of 7, so when I bought it, I told the staff, "When you think about it calmly, it's quite expensive, right?" "Yes! Each one is hand-drawn, so each face is different." I felt somehow convinced (lol) and ended up buying them even though they were expensive. My grandchildren were happy, they were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

New Chitose Airport... Before boarding the plane, I got a little hungry so I went to a donut shop located in the cluster of shops on the 2nd floor near the JAL side of the airport!! The donut with a face peeking out in the middle is called "Kumagoron" it seems. They have a variety of donuts including ones made with Shiretoko salt. It's almost a shame to eat them, but I did (lol). They were delicious as expected. It would make a good souvenir from Hokkaido for those with young children. Thank you for the meal~♪

I saw these sweets that looked incredibly cute, so I begged my husband to buy them for me (* ´ ▽ ` *) Just looking at them makes my heart flutter (*>∀<*) Despite their appearance, the taste is quite simple, and not too sweet, so you can easily eat them up (lol) I finished them in an instant ( *´艸) They would make a great gift for a family with kids (*´∇`)ノ Next time, I'll go for the larger donuts (σ≧▽≦)σ Thank you for the meal ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ By the way, I gave a high rating mainly because they were too cute to resist (○´∀`人´∀`○)

Donuts are so cute, aren't they? They're not greasy and easy to eat. Today, I tried soft serve for the first time. It's basically milk soft serve with sauce on top, and you can choose one without Kumagoro (bear-shaped topping). Since it's milk soft serve, it's more watery and smooth rather than creamy. It's refreshing, so it's great for freshening up your mouth after a meal. I personally like the watery texture, so I really enjoyed it. The honey sauce adds a nice sweetness. It's nice that they also offer free coffee.

▽Honey Soft Serve 380 yen
Soft serve ice cream made with milk from Nakashibetsu, topped with honey. The rich milk flavor of the soft serve is delicious, but it is a bit difficult to eat when combined with the cold honey as they don't mix well.
▼Impressions▼
Shiretoko Factory's New Chitose Airport branch is known for its cute character-themed donuts. I tried their soft serve ice cream made with Nakashibetsu milk and honey from their beekeeping division. Both are tasty individually, but a bit tricky to eat together. Despite this, I would like to try their main donuts on a future visit.
