Just a short walk from Ginza Sukiyabashi and Yonchome Intersection. Located in the West Five Building in Ginza Gochome, near Hermes, this sushi restaurant is known as the Gourmet Building. I had been curious about it for a while, so I made a reservation and visited for lunch on a weekday. After having my temperature checked, I entered the restaurant. While it mainly has a counter, there are also private rooms at the back, making it feel spacious and relaxed. The friendly and wonderful head chef seated me, and the experience began! Starting with the fatty tuna from Nachi Katsuura at Yamazuki, the meal consisted of 14 items including a soup, dessert, and a variety of rolls. It may seem like a lot for lunch, but the size of the rice was just right, making it easy to eat. Above all, the head chef's conversation was fantastic. The selection of sushi varies depending on the day, but in addition to squid, golden eye snapper, gizzard shad, and pickled items, there was also a Negitoro roll with shiso and cucumber, which was unexpectedly satisfying. The sea urchin, salmon roe, and sea bream that followed were delicious, leading to the finale of conger eel. Personally, I wanted to have another Negitoro roll at the end, but if I had eaten more, I might not have been able to move afterwards, so it was probably for the best! The sushi is arranged nicely in a course, making it easy to enjoy without needing to add more. The attention to detail, such as the ingredients from Choshi and Tsushima, and the skillful rice that doesn't overpower the toppings, was evident. On this day, there were two chefs at the counter, providing a personalized and well-timed service. The drink menu was also well-stocked, with a list of recommended Japanese sake that made me wish I could have enjoyed it with alcohol if it wasn't lunchtime. The reservations seem relatively easy to make, and the leisurely pace at which you can enjoy the sushi is much appreciated. I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!٩( ᐖ )۶٩( ᐖ )۶٩( ᐖ )۶ I post a lot of lunch information on Instagram around Yurakucho, Ginza, and Shinbashi. Just a 2-minute walk from Ginza Station, on the 4th floor of a mixed-use building that also houses a club, you'll find this restaurant. The bright blue curtain hanging at the entrance is a distinctive feature. I had reserved the lunch omakase course for one person at 11,000 yen plus a 10% service charge a few days ago, as my friend from Okinawa was visiting Tokyo and I wanted to treat them to some delicious sushi. The counter had 12 seats, but on this day, we started with just 4 people. The master chef remarked that it was unusually quiet, which made me smile. When it was time to order drinks, I realized that it was a default part of the experience, so I ordered a barley shochu soda. Green tea was also available for 600 yen, so it's best to budget around 13,000 yen for the lunch. The meal started with "medium fatty tuna" which had a slightly chewy texture, followed by "firefly squid from Wakasa Bay with charcoal salt" which was delicious. The "seared Isaki from Oarai with salt and vinegar" had a wonderful smoky flavor. The "marinated tuna with chili" was enhanced by the spiciness of the chili. The "Kinmedai from Katsuura" had been marinated in kombu for 48 hours, resulting in a rich flavor. The "Hamachi from Hachijo Island" was mellow and delicious. The "abalone grilled with seaweed" was unique with vinegar rice inside, and the touch of chili pepper added a nice kick. The "salmon roe battleship roll" was pleasantly crunchy. Surprisingly, a "futomaki" was served with Toro, sea urchin, shiso leaf, pickled radish, and egg, and it was quite tasty. The "Uni battleship roll with red vinegar rice and Wakkanai Uni" featured high-quality Uni from Hokkaido, which melted in the mouth. The "seared Otoro" looked almost like meat but was a splendid piece of Otoro. The "white shrimp from Toyama" was surprisingly sweet and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The "simmered anago" was soft and tender, with a mildly sweet simmering sauce. The meal ended with a warm red miso soup with mushrooms and Mitsuba, followed by a warm tea. I decided to add a "Toro roll" for an extra bite, and it was a great choice. Lastly, we were served a "pear compote" for dessert, which was just the right amount of sweetness to finish the meal. The veteran master chef's humor and the quality of the sushi made it a delightful experience. It's definitely a restaurant worth adding to your list of sushi spots.

I visited this restaurant that I had been curious about when I visited Bar Suzuki on the same floor before. I discovered a course with a Japanese sake pairing for 15,000 yen. The restaurant was fully booked. There were a lot of well-dressed women on this day. The explanation of the Japanese sake was thorough, and the drink menu was extensive. It was enjoyable to watch the sushi being made, and I was impressed by the chef's memory. The sushi was delicious.

I made a reservation for a dinner omakase course (counter) with my friend during our Tokyo trip. The head chef, who has over 50 years of experience in the industry, was very friendly and the sushi and dishes that came out were amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant was bright and clean, which was great. I would love to go back again if I have the chance.

I visited this sushi restaurant after a long time because I was craving sushi. The portion sizes are not too big, but each piece is deliciously made. You can also order more if you're still hungry. The atmosphere is quiet and you can eat comfortably. It's a casual place to dine in.

The lunch course includes 12-13 pieces of sushi, a soup, and dessert for 11,000 yen plus drinks. It's not too expensive considering the location. Recommended for those who want to enjoy sushi. The sushi is well-prepared and delicious, with no disappointments. The chu-toro, sea urchin, squid, and conger eel were particularly tasty. However, compared to other places, it's not very memorable. While the omakase is understandable, it's a bit disappointing that there isn't a standout dish showcasing the chef's skills. The only thing that stood out was the summer dessert with a refreshing sound and taste of peaches.

I visited for lunch. The quality you get for this price is quite good. The sea urchin was particularly impressive. It was rich but not overpowering, just the way I like it. The fish was also thick and satisfying overall. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, many restaurants have been raising their prices, but Ginza Ichikawa offers reasonable prices with delicious food that surpasses expectations. The perfectly prepared ingredients and red vinegar seasoned red rice create a harmonious and happy dining experience. Personally, I love red rice sushi, so I would love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Even though there aren't many good sushi restaurants in Ginza that offer lunch, I was truly impressed by the quality at this price point! I wanted to find a delicious place to eat with a local junior I hadn't seen in a while, so when searching for a sushi restaurant for dinner, I often heard the name of this famous place. I was excited as I arrived on the day of our reservation at 12:00. However, when I arrived at 11:50, a sign saying "preparing" was displayed. I shouldn't have been so eager... Around 11:55, the narrow space between the restaurant and the elevator was crowded with customers waiting for sushi. It was hot... At exactly 12:00, the entrance opened and as I entered, I was greeted by a typical Ginza sushi atmosphere. The chef used red and white vinegar rice depending on the type of fish, showing his dedication. Personally, the marinated tuna was the best. Since I was having lunch with my junior, I didn't take any photos or have a sushi chat with the chef... I just enjoyed it by myself. My junior took a photo of the peach jelly at the end (nostalgic popping sensation). Next time, I want to challenge it alone.

I visited after a year. I had come in spring and summer last year, but despite the few months gap, the sake sommelier manager who remembered me and used to talk to me was not there. The food was good, but the head chef didn't talk much (seemed busy). Last year, he used to engage in conversation, which left a good impression on me, so I gave a slightly strict rating. Looking forward to the next visit.

I have visited my favorite sushi restaurant in Ginza so many times, I've lost count. This time, I tried a Japanese sake and sushi pairing course, which was a new experience for me. I felt like I was opening a door to something unknown. I have more photos posted on my Instagram: hidepon0714.

I wanted to eat delicious sushi in Ginza for a change, so I made a reservation at Ikkoh. It was a bit disappointing that they weren't open even 10 minutes before my 12 o'clock reservation. I ordered the 11,000 yen course, where the chef serves each piece of sushi individually. The course included: black tuna, medium fatty tuna, white squid, kanpachi, golden eye snapper, kelp-marinated tuna aged for 50 hours, seared isaki, scallop, salmon roe, rolled sushi with fatty tuna and octopus, seared fatty tuna, simmered conger eel, rolled sushi with pickled gourd, miso soup, and saffron dessert. It was a delicious lunch!

I used the sake pairing course for lunch and it was very delicious and satisfying. Thank you for the meal! The dishes I had included medium fatty tuna, squid, amberjack, golden eye snapper, tuna sashimi with mustard, seared scallops with yuzu, ikura sushi, rolled omelette with shrimp, sea urchin, fatty tuna, seared shrimp, pickled ginger, and grilled conger eel. The service from the staff was a bit disappointing as they forgot about the pairing course and made us wait at the time of payment. The atmosphere was also slightly affected by the old building.

The taste was okay. However, the restaurant is located in a mixed-use building, which I don't think is suitable for bringing guests or for entertaining. Because of this, I couldn't give it a high rating. For these reasons, I don't plan on going back again.

I visited on a regular night. It was a humid day, so I started with a toast with sparkling wine. I began with medium fatty tuna sushi, which has become the standard lately. The sushi and appetizers were served alternately, and everything was delicious. I especially remember the fried sweetfish. The slight bitterness of the innards was a nice accent that I enjoyed from start to finish. I also had clam sushi because I love shellfish. They have a good selection of rare sake and a variety of wines. However, I was a bit disappointed when I tried to order a wine from the wine list and was told it was sold out twice, so I had to choose a different one. Other than that, the staff were attentive and the service was good. I was very satisfied with the traditional Edo-style sushi. The private rooms were all full when I visited, so it seems to be a thriving place. I would like to visit again in a different season. Thank you for the meal.

This was my first visit, and I was probably directed to a private room because the counter was full. The dishes were all delicious and well-prepared. The portion sizes and timing were perfect, and there was a wide variety of drinks available. Due to the location, it seemed to attract many gentlemen and elegant ladies. The prices were reasonable and just right.

The ease of making reservations and the cost performance stand out, but the quality of the taste is on a different level compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. It truly feels like a sushi restaurant in Tokyo. I have experienced both sitting at the counter and in a private room, but in the private room, you can easily hear conversations from the neighboring room, which lacks the qualities one would expect from a high-end sushi restaurant. The selection of alcohol is good, and both the sake and white wine (Chardonnay) were delicious.

I made a reservation and visited at 7:00 PM. Starting with the tuna, the horse mackerel, squid, sea urchin, and salmon roe were all very delicious. The sushi rolls were also tasty. I started with a light beer in a small glass, and they had a wide variety of sake, including Shinsei's Yonotori and Earth.

I made a reservation online the day before and visited the restaurant. Overall, the sushi was on the smaller side, so as a big eater, I ended up ordering extra squid with bamboo charcoal salt and squid with citrus juice squeezed on top. I personally liked the tuna with mustard. It's easy to make a reservation and choose a convenient time, so I might come back for lunch if I can't decide where to go. The dessert was interesting, like old-fashioned cotton candy with popping jelly.

I used the lunch course for 11,000 yen, and although there was a lack of luxury due to the price cap (purple sea urchin), I was satisfied with the 18 items offered at this price. The overall seasoning was light, with no trendy red vinegar for the sushi rice, but it had a standard taste. However, there were clever touches to bring out the umami flavor, making it delicious. I would like to try it for dinner next time.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. The only option available was an omakase course for 11,000 yen. It started with medium fatty tuna, followed by white fish, pickled fish, scallop, salmon roe, rolled sushi, sea urchin, fatty tuna, and shrimp. Just when I thought it would end with eel, they surprised us with a kanpyo roll and red miso soup. The meal ended with strawberries. A perfect lineup. Worth every penny. Very satisfied. I would love to visit again.
