I revisited! This time, we started with the classic salted Genghis Khan (with a little bit of deer meat topping) at the social gathering with our business partners, followed by enjoying dishes like asparagus, grilled salmon belly, salmon, and pork zangi! Everything was delicious, right? For drinks, we had two beers, then moved on to a bottle of barley shochu and a bottle of sweet potato shochu. It was a fun and meaningful social gathering!

Visited in June 2023, had 3 glasses of draft beer (500 yen each), a Sapporo Classic Chippu (600 yen), an appetizer of thick-fried tofu with grated yam and grilled young corn (2 pieces) (600 yen), and salted hormone (550 yen). The total bill was 4,000 yen. Finished work early and went to the intermediary company. Then, completed the key handover and other preparations before moving tomorrow. Headed to Susukino, even though the move was not yet complete and I had to stay in a hotel. It was still early, so I decided to find a place to have a drink before going to the hotel. I had used up all the coupons yesterday, so today there were no restrictions. I plan to have the recommended ramen from Tokyo for the last meal. I won't come to Susukino at night very often once I move, so I wanted to explore a bit. Found a neon sign in a slightly old building off the main street and decided to check it out. The second-floor establishment seemed a bit hard to grasp the atmosphere, which I didn't like, but I decided to go up the stairs. When I entered and informed the female staff that I was alone, she seemed a bit surprised or suspicious. I greeted her cheerfully and sat at the counter where a woman was already seated. There was a raised area on the left and seats prepared for a party. The counter had radishes and towels placed on it, but everyone has their own way of taking it in, right? I ordered a Sapporo Classic draft beer. It was served in a slightly smaller glass but cost 500 yen. Since coming to Sapporo, I have started ordering Sapporo Classic draft beer more often. It's delicious and affordable (depending on the establishment). The appetizer served with the beer was thinly fried tofu with grated yam on top. It cost 400 yen, but it was nice that they put some thought into it rather than just serving something ordinary. The "Chippu" was presented with wasabi sprinkled on top. It had a refined sweetness, unlike salmon, which has a lot of fat. It might be because it's a freshwater fish? The man who joined the woman next to me was served something that looked really delicious. It seemed like he was a regular customer because it was served without him even ordering. I asked the staff what it was, and it turned out to be grilled young corn. I was intrigued and decided to try it. It was served with the skin on at one end and peeled at the other, with only the flesh remaining. I tried a bite with a drop of soy sauce, and it was amazing. I had never tasted anything like it before. I was impressed! Since I needed to save room for ramen, I decided to order one more dish, the salted hormone. When I ordered it, a hot plate and a Genghis Khan pot were brought out, which surprised me. The salted hormone was served on a plate with asparagus on the side. It was also amazing! I thought they would just stir-fry it in a pan like usual. When I go to the supermarket, I see packs of hormone meat being sold, almost as much as lamb, so it seems like there is a culture of eating hormone meat here. I wanted to drink more beer, but I finished with three glasses. I returned to the hotel after settling the bill. The owner said, "That will be 4,000 yen!" Well, it's fine. The grilled young corn was outstanding. The owner and the somewhat beautiful woman, who didn't seem to be his wife, were friendly. I could relax and enjoy drinks, and they served Hokkaido-style dishes. I think I found a nice place to enjoy in Hokkaido.

We used this compact restaurant for a social gathering, with counter seats and about four tables in a tatami room. The salted lamb and fresh sashimi directly sourced from the fishing port are popular here. We didn't manage to take a photo of the salted lamb, but it was delicious cooked in a pot with salt sauce. We were also served deer meat as a bonus! In addition to the sashimi platter, pork zangi, and hairy crab sashimi platter, we enjoyed a luxurious dinner. For drinks, we had beer first, followed by a rare Akane Kirishima bottle ordered. We had it with water and it was delicious with a hint of sweetness. It was a fun social gathering and we were very satisfied. Thank you for the feast! 🍴

Every time I passed by, I was curious about Ichikyu-san. I couldn't find any information about the menu, so I couldn't go in, but I finally made it! The Showa-era izakaya atmosphere exuding from the exterior was irresistible. Just as I expected, the interior and the owner were exactly what I love about izakayas. I was personally disappointed that they didn't have bottled beer, but I raised a toast with a lemon sour and the complimentary simmered shirako. It's so luxurious to have shirako as a complimentary dish. I also ordered the liver, which was easy to eat without any unpleasant smell. I want to go back when I want to relax. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the izakaya called "Ikyu" located in a sparsely populated alleyway. The restaurant is on the second floor of a mixed-use building, and although there is a sign outside, the dimly lit staircase can make it a bit difficult to find for first-time visitors. The atmosphere inside is that of a typical neighborhood izakaya. The menu, written on soot-stained strips of paper lining the walls, offers a variety of izakaya dishes. Their specialty is "Salt Jingisukan," where you cook lamb on a gas burner with salt and pepper seasoning. The lamb is flavorful with just the right amount of salt and pepper, delicious even without dipping sauce. They also serve "Salt Hormone," cooked in the same style as the Jingisukan. Other dishes include "Potato Fries," "Herring Sashimi," "Sanmaizushi," "Zangi," and "Kaniretasu," all of which are exceptionally tasty. It's a cozy place where you can relax as if you were at home. It might be a good idea to bring your own garbage bag for smoke prevention.

Welcome. ---------- May 2019 ----------I remember having "whale bacon and salted lamb" before the move...Shimane Rihaku(= ´∀´)ノ凵゛To start off, we had edamame, which was really good. Salted lamb, a traditional specialty, cooked on a cassette stove. Plenty of vegetables and tender meat, all coated in salt sauce. The soft meat, cooked just right, with a rich taste of broth and the aroma of eggs spreading in your mouth. Silver cod roeSilver cod roe is delicious, isn't it... I can't help but eat it when it's available. Asparagus with butterA seasonal menu item with crispy and fresh asparagus, complemented by the richness of butter. Garlic soy sauce picklesThese are irresistible anytime, anywhere, a perfect snack with drinks. The flavor of garlic infused in soy sauce is simply irresistible. I remember having the serious "whale bacon" here before, I wonder if they still serve it...?

During my trip to Hokkaido, I was taken to this restaurant by my husband. From the moment I started climbing the stairs, I could tell it wasn't a very clean place. The corn and grilled squid were delicious, but I'm not a fan of salted lamb. The salted hormone and raw oysters were tasty though. However, the clutter on the counter bothered me and I couldn't really focus on the food. This is not a place I would go to with just my girlfriends. Cleanliness is important!笑

☆Taste☆ Average, salty flavor is strong ☆Service☆ Average ☆Atmosphere☆ Needs improvement ☆Cost performance☆ Cheaper side ☆Drinks☆ Okay Hidden gem, but has an old and shabby image. Missed out on trying the Jingisukan. Won't be a repeat customer. The corn was too salty and overall, the flavors were too intense.

I visited a salt lamb barbecue restaurant recommended by my colleague! We climbed a slightly steep staircase and the restaurant is on the second floor. We had a party in a private room with about 10 people. Of course, we had to order the salt lamb barbecue, but there were so many other tempting menu items! Since there were many of us today, we decided to order as much as we wanted! *I only took a photo of the salt lamb barbecue. The staff warned us not to overcook the salt lamb barbecue, and they would tell us when it's the perfect time to eat. The color changed, oh my, this is cooked just the way I like it. Let's dig in! Wow!! It's tender! And delicious! There's no gamey taste at all! It's really delicious as recommended! I even had seconds (laughs). There were so many menu items that some people were excited about the whale bacon (laughs). They had a wide variety of meat, fried food, fish, and izakaya dishes! I'm not usually a fan of private rooms, but I strangely felt comfortable in this space. It wasn't an all-you-can-drink option, so ordering as much as we wanted ended up being a bit pricey, but it was delicious and fun! Thank you for the meal!

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nostalgic, giving off an old-fashioned vibe. My friend and I visited the restaurant and it was crowded. It seemed like they were open until 6 in the morning. Luckily, we found a spot in the tatami room and felt very relaxed. We ordered the salted Genghis Khan, which is a popular dish. It tasted good, but since it was a simple flavor, I personally thought it was just okay. I liked the ambiance, the friendly staff, and the delicious food. Thank you very much.

I don't really go to deep space often, but I get excited when I visit places like this - it's like the feeling I get when watching Star Trek: DS9. This is a wandering adventure in Susukino with Subaru-san, who I met unexpectedly. The edamame here is fresh and goes well with beer. The fried pork zangi, whether baked or microwaved, seems to have been frozen and has a slightly degraded taste, but the salty flavor of the meat makes it enjoyable with drinks. The butter-fried corn has a nice crunchy texture, but there is something lacking in either the dish or the presentation. The fugu skin with ponzu sauce is a simple dish with a light and healthy taste. The highball was just average. The service was not bad, but the messy interior could use some tidying up. Overall, the experience was okay, but there is room for improvement in service and atmosphere. I left with mixed feelings about the place. Overall rating: 3.0 Taste: 3.0 Service: 3.0 Atmosphere: 3.0 Value for money: 3.3 Drinks: 3.0 ☆☆☆ Next episode preview ☆☆☆ I was curious about the salted Jingisukan and hormones while browsing, but I didn't get to try them this time. There are currently no plans for a return visit to try them out.

We welcomed our friend WKYM from Kanto in October 2015, making a total of four of us for our first visit. A few days prior, a customer of mine had mentioned how amazing this place was, so I was determined to come here! We were seated in a sunken kotatsu-style table and started with a ruby red appetizer. The appetizer, especially the oden, was so delicious! Next, the salted lamb barbecue arrived. The chef came out and quickly flipped the lamb on the grill for us. The salted lamb was incredibly tasty! Then we tried the salted hormone, which had a strong garlic flavor and a chewy texture. The beef tongue sashimi and beef tendon with ponzu sauce were also amazing! I will definitely come back here again. Thank you for the delicious meal!
