Today, my wife is out, so I decided to take care of my own business. I left in the morning to do what I needed to do, and then went for lunch. Since I was in Sapporo, I decided to try a shop that I heard was popular. The shop is called "Raamen Shin Tanuki Koji Store". I found out about it recently from a fellow reviewer. I remember having the Yukkejang Ramen at the main store before. It was lunchtime, but there were still plenty of seats available. I sat at the counter and ordered the miso ramen. The staff, all young, provided friendly service which I appreciated. It took about 7 minutes for the ramen to arrive! It was a simple miso ramen. But that's all it needed to be! I took a sip of the soup. It was nicely oily, with a strong but not overpowering animal-based broth. The miso itself was slightly less salty, with a mild white miso flavor that complemented the broth well. The soup was delicious. The noodles were slightly thinner than typical Sapporo noodles, but cooked just right and paired well with the soup. The stir-fried vegetables were minimal, but their texture remained while blending well with the soup. The chashu was firm and lightly seasoned, which suited my taste perfectly! This ramen may look plain, but its quality is top-notch. I almost finished the soup, but reminded myself that I had another place to go to (laughs). With this flavor, I'm sure their soy sauce ramen is also delicious. While the Yukkejang is good, having a solid foundation in the basic flavors is a strength. I hope that by opening a store in Tanuki Koji, they will become even more popular with everyone. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

A friend (traveler) wanted to eat miso ramen, so we entered a restaurant. Initially, we considered famous places like Shinano and Sora, but the long lines made us hesitate to enter (it was already past 10 pm). Suddenly, we stumbled upon a place with a nice smell and decided to try it out. They had a variety of ramen options, and I chose miso with extra green onions on top. It was a classic miso flavor and very delicious. You can enjoy Sapporo miso ramen here without having to wait in line for a long time.

I came here because I heard it was delicious from an acquaintance! They recommended the Yukkejang Ramen, but I was in the mood for soy sauce, so I chose the Soy Sauce Ramen! The soy sauce was not light, but rather had a strong garlic flavor, which I personally liked. The way the green onions were cut made them easy to eat and delicious! Next time, I will try the Yukkejang Ramen! Thank you for the meal♪

Nostalgic Yukkejang Ramen. I used to live near the original store and frequented this place. I remember eating this ramen in the middle of winter late at night, and when I stepped outside, steam was coming out of my head! I had a chance to eat it again, so I went out of my way to visit their new location. The taste was just as good as I remembered! I had planned to add braised pork as a topping, but unfortunately, it was sold out. I went with the chashu topping instead. The two staff members were talking the whole time, and they didn't say a word when I entered or left. I also asked for the nori topping as a follow-up special on Instagram, but unfortunately, they didn't provide it. I started to question their customer service. But I'll probably end up going back again anyway. Thank you for the meal! ^ - ^

The final stop of the Sapporo expedition is definitely ramen. Personally, I like salt ramen, so this time I ordered salt ramen as usual. The curly noodles somehow feel Hokkaido-like. What I found amazing about ramen shops in Sapporo is that there are quite a few that start serving from around 10 p.m. I wouldn't want to wait in line at this time.

I visited the restaurant on July 7th (Friday), Tanabata Day, around 7 pm for dinner. When I entered, there were only two other customers besides me, and the staff seemed a bit bored.
[Order]
- Yukkejang Ramen with boiled egg: 990 yen
- Small rice
- 3 sheets of seaweed
The ramen was served in about 10 minutes. The soup was spicy but packed with flavor, making it irresistible. I couldn't stop slurping the soup and ended up finishing it while sweating. The noodles were also perfectly cooked and mixed well with the soup. Definitely worth trying again!
On this day, they also offered a small rice as a service, and as an Instagram follower benefit, I received 3 sheets of seaweed for free. It was a lucky day to get two service items. I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied with the delicious dinner. Highly recommended! Just be aware that it's quite spicy for those who can't handle it.
Overall, it was a great dining experience. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty, but when I left, it was full with people waiting in line. It made me think that despite not being very popular, the restaurant is well-liked because of its delicious food!

I ordered the miso ramen for 820 yen. I sometimes eat at the stores along the streetcar line or get delivery, but this shop in Tanukikoji was my first time. The warm ramen felt good on my cold body from the air conditioning in the summer. Thank you for the meal.

I went to this place because my intended shop was closed, and I tried their cold noodles that I had been curious about for a while. The noodles had a strong spicy taste, and the cucumber slices were not just plain but had a vinegar flavor, which was delicious. I thought it would be even better if the noodles were served colder. It's nice to be able to casually enjoy cold noodles at a ramen shop instead of a yakiniku restaurant.

Yukkejang ramen
A friend told me it's spicy but delicious, so I decided to visit. There was no wait in line, and I was able to enter just in time as there was only one seat left. The customers were mostly couples or solo male diners. When the ramen arrived, I was surprised by its red color! I was a bit worried if I could handle the spiciness... The first bite didn't feel too spicy, but as I continued eating, the heat and capsaicin started to make me sweat, causing my makeup to run... Even after finishing the meal, I felt warm for a while. It was delicious, but considering the sweating effect, it's a place I'd prefer to visit alone.

I always stay at a hotel near this ramen shop when I travel to Sapporo. It's not always crowded, but it's always busy and I finally got a chance to visit. There was a banner at the entrance advertising Yukkejang Ramen, which caught my attention as I love spicy ramen. The shop opens at 11am and when I arrived a little after 11, about half of the seats were already taken. Of course, I ordered the Yukkejang Ramen. The first sip of the soup was delicious! The spiciness was just right, not too overwhelming that I couldn't enjoy it without breaking a sweat. I heard that you can make it even spicier for those who love spicy food. I debated whether to order rice, but decided against it this time. I'll definitely try it next time. Thank you for the meal.

I only worked for 5 hours today and finished in the morning. I was hungry so I decided to have some ramen. The popular ramen shop I wanted to go to had a long line, so I remembered a place I had searched before - Ramen Shinhe. It was not crowded, so I ordered the special spicy miso black ramen (extra spicy and extra large) with a side of rice (large). The rice came out quickly followed by the spicy miso black ramen. It looked really spicy but I managed to eat it without choking. The spiciness gave a good kick to my empty stomach. The large rice complemented the spicy ramen well. I enjoyed the spiciness and left as it started to get crowded during lunchtime. I went back home and took a nap until the evening. Have a nice weekend!

I wanted to go out, but I was disappointed by the cloudy weather when I woke up in the morning. Oh well, off to work. On the way to work, I pass by "Raamen Shin" quite often. Today, I decided to have lunch here! I ordered the salt and egg ramen. One sip of the soup, ahh, it's gentle and delicious. The noodles are quite ordinary, with normal elasticity and aroma. The egg and chashu are also nothing special. The soup is delicious.

Yukkejang Ramen and Draft Beer for 1340 yen (890 yen + 450 yen). I didn't hesitate to buy the meal ticket because of the ingrained idea of "Yukkejang Ramen" being something new. Since I'm not driving today, I also ordered a beer. The ramen was sweet and spicy, just as recommended. It paired well with the beer. It's interesting that they have "cold noodles" on the menu as well. The word "Kimchi" stands out on the menu, so it must be a specialty.

Bullet... Sapporo business trip~ After finishing work meetings, I hurried to Kikaido, but as expected, there was a long line at lunchtime. Considering the time to New Chitose Airport, I decided to try their miso ramen instead. Oh, the miso ramen here is even better than I expected. The noodles, miso, and chashu are well balanced.

After enjoying delicious Italian cuisine, my colleagues and I discussed where to go next for the final meal. Should we go to the Chinese restaurant "Momiji"? Hakata ramen at "Ippudo"? Or how about the oil noodles at "Yonekazatei"? Oh, I remember, let's go to the ramen shop that was mentioned on the way to the first place. So, we head there. I used to love the Susukino's Totori Noodle, which has now expanded to include ramen in addition to cold noodles. There are so many things I want to try. Last time, I had the regular miso ramen for lunch, and I saved the cold noodles for summer, so this time I'll have the special miso black ramen. I also requested the Instagram follow coupon that I forgot to ask for last time, and instead of the egg topping, they offered green onions, which is fine. I guess it's because of the high egg prices and the avian influenza. Anyway, let's cheers with a beer! Soon, the ramen is served. I take a sip of the special miso black soup, and it's delicious. It's not as salty as it looks, and the soup is really tasty. I add extra medium curly noodles and top it with plenty of green onions. It's so delicious. I also try a sip of my colleague's Yukkejang ramen soup, which is the most popular and indeed delicious. The two slices of bara roll chashu are tender and delicious. A perfect ending to the ramen meal. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal! I still have more ramen dishes I want to try before the cold noodles in summer. I'll also ask for the free rice.

It's springtime and I'm loving the longer days - my favorite season. Today, I decided to have lunch in the Tanukikoji area. I passed by the crowded Kiitadashi ramen shop and tried out the new Raamen Shin for the first time. In the past, whenever I craved cold noodles, I would visit Totori Noodle's second ramen shop in Tanukikoji. It's great that it's more accessible now. I opted for the basic miso ramen after debating between Yukkejang ramen, Black miso ramen, and Kimchi ramen. The service rice was a pass, but I regret not ordering it in the beginning. The ramen arrived quickly, and it had that old-school Sapporo style with hot soup and a traditional delicious taste. The light miso flavor was great, especially with the buttered corn. The noodles were slightly thinner than the typical Sapporo curly noodles, but they balanced well with the soup. The amount of bean sprouts and bamboo shoots was modest but tasty. The slightly firm chashu was to my liking. Overall, it was a simple and well-balanced delicious miso ramen. I enjoyed it! Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back. I want to try all the types of ramen before the hot summer arrives. After leaving the restaurant, I remembered the free seasoned egg coupon on Tabelog. I will have to remember to show my Instagram follow screen next time for the free egg. I will come back soon for the Black miso ramen, with the coupon egg and the service rice.

Holiday lunch. On the way, I was excited to eat miso after a long time with my friend. But when we arrived at the restaurant in Tanuki Koji, there was a line of over 20 people... Feeling too hungry to wait, we decided to go to this other restaurant instead. This place is also delicious. Today, I was torn between wanting to try the Yukkejang, but there were so many other tempting options. So, I ended up ordering the Spicy Miso Black with extra spicy vegetables. The restaurant was also packed (with a line forming afterwards), but I waited patiently. The smell of the dish being prepared hinted at its spiciness. When it arrived, the black color made it look less spicy than expected! Compared to the Yukkejang, it was surprisingly milder and easier to eat. And as always, the food from this restaurant is delicious. However, I was a bit disappointed with the extra vegetables option (for 120 yen) as there were only a few bean sprouts included... Next time, I'll try the regular miso!

Located in Tanuki Koji 6-chome in Sapporo Odori, this is a new branch of the famous "Shin" known for its super spicy Yukkejang ramen on the main street. I visited around noon on Saturday and was able to enter without waiting in line. In addition to the signature Yukkejang ramen, they also offer unique menu items such as "Spicy Miso Black" and "Cold Noodles," which adds to the excitement. They even offer a small rice service, which is a nice touch for your stomach. This time, I ordered the "Spicy Yukkejang Ramen" for 990 yen. When you come to Shin, this is a must-try! I used to love the Yukkejang ramen at the main branch and reminisced about those days while enjoying the meal. The sweet and spicy Yukkejang soup with noodles, green onions, and onions was satisfying. However, the amount of ingredients was not as generous as I expected, and the spiciness was not as intense as I thought it would be. It seems like it still can't compare to the main branch. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the meal thoroughly. Thank you for the delicious meal!

It's a new shop that opened on Tanukikoji last year. There seems to be a main store nearby, but I haven't tried it before, so it's a new experience! When I looked at the ticket machine near the entrance, they had Kimchi Ramen and Yukgaejang Ramen! Even though spring is approaching, it's still cold. I'm intrigued by the spicy ramen. I couldn't decide which one to choose... I went with the Kimchi Ramen! I love kimchi♪ Next time, I want to try the Yukgaejang! Thank you for the meal!

Yukkejang Ramen for 890 yen. There were around 10 counter seats available. Ordering is done through food tickets. I ordered the Yukkejang Ramen, which seemed to be recommended as it was displayed on the top left. There was a Japanese boss, young Japanese staff in the kitchen, and several foreign staff. The service was somewhat indifferent. The taste was as the name suggests, quite strong. There was some umami, but the noodles were lacking. There was no unity in the dish. The meat element was almost non-existent, just a small amount of beef. In addition to this, there were various other options such as regular miso, salt, soy sauce, kimchi ramen, black miso, black soy sauce, etc. Based on my experience with the Yukkejang Ramen, I probably wouldn't visit multiple times. It's located at the corner of Tanukikoji, giving off the impression of a restaurant that attracts tourists and makes a decent profit.

Finally made it here. It turns out that the snow festival is going on, and it's being taken over by inbound tourists (laughs). Oh well. The young people are the ones making the food. Bought a ticket from the vending machine. Ordered the Yukkejang ramen for 890 yen. Finally got a seat, and the gentleman next to me is Japanese! Phew. There was some sesame in front of the gentleman, so I said sorry and moved it for him (laughs). And he gave it back to me. Thank you! I used a coupon, so they said they don't have seasoned eggs. I chose seaweed instead. Now, it arrives! Took a sip of the soup. Hmm, it's a bit sour and spicy. Hmm, there's no sweetness in the spiciness, huh? Oh, I see. Is this not the same taste as the main store? I'm sure of it. Oh well, it's delicious (laughs). But I prefer the taste of the main store! I'm glad I got to eat it! Thank you for the meal.
