Located a 5-minute walk from Aoyama-itchome Station, I was invited for the first time to this restaurant. It is said to have only 6 seats and operates in two shifts, making it popular and difficult to reserve if you are not a regular customer. The course included 6 appetizers, 13 pieces of sushi, a soup, and fruit, all for the surprising price of 12,000 yen. The chef's selection included scallop, turban shell, golden eye snapper, kelp with fish roe, firefly squid, and dried rockfish, followed by white shrimp, sweet shrimp, tilefish, white squid, striped horse mackerel, mantis shrimp, lean tuna, medium fatty tuna, sardine, kohada, scallop, sea urchin, and kampyo roll. The sushi rice was firm with a tangy flavor that complemented the toppings. The chef, Ogawa, was cool and did not provide detailed explanations, but the temperature of the rice varied according to the toppings, reflecting the style of his previous workplace. Although I did not mention anything, I was asked if I didn't like pickled vegetables, and when I said I didn't, the pickled fish (which I forgot) was skipped. Perhaps I looked like I didn't like pickled vegetables... The fish served with dried rockfish was noticeably the least appealing, which was a bit disappointing. The surf clam was particularly delicious among the sushi. It was interesting to compare the white shrimp and sweet shrimp at the beginning. The scallop and sweet shrimp were especially delicious. I added a toro and lean tuna roll at the end of the course, and even with a little sake, it didn't exceed 15,000 yen. Although I felt a bit lonely at times, realizing that the chef didn't make eye contact and didn't see me as a guest, and the harsh attitude towards the male employee who chose the sake instead of the chef who doesn't drink sake didn't sit well with me... However, for those who are not bothered by these details, the reasonable price and delicious food make it an enjoyable experience.
