I had the oden dashi rice cooked in a clay pot at Shime no Donabe, but I didn't lose weight because I went to a second restaurant. The restaurant opened in December last year, but it's only open 4 days a week, and since I often go out on Fridays, it's hard to visit. Finally, in April, they extended their opening hours to 9 pm, and I was the first customer that day! I sat at the counter and ordered the Soba Yoshikai, but they had run out the day before, so they recommended a special limited sake, Ooishi, instead. As an appetizer, they brought out gnocchi, white fungus, and Vienna sausages. The homemade gnocchi had a stew-like sauce on top, and the crunchy white fungus was refreshing. The soba noodles were hand-cut Hokkaido-made Soba, slightly thick and chewy, with a satisfying texture. The dipping sauce was rich and flavorful, and I enjoyed it with plenty of wasabi. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the owner is friendly and welcoming. I had a great time enjoying the soba noodles and drinks. The total bill came to 2600 yen for the soba noodles, two glasses of Ooishi on the rocks, and an extra glass for the owner.
