2023/2 Strawberry Fruit Soft Serve 600 yen Located in the Seisei River EAST Nijo Market, this dessert shop offers Hokkaido milk sweets. Despite the winter season, locals enjoy the "strawberry" soft serve in a cup. The female staff member was handling everything on her own and seemed quite busy. The waiting time after placing an order was a bit long. The strawberry flavor had a nice acidity to it, with beautifully cut strawberries on top and a rich milk taste at the bottom of the cup. It was rich yet refreshing. Delicious! Thank you for the meal!

In a few more weeks, it will be the off-season. I had been bookmarking "Komichi" for a long time, anticipating their new offerings. The menu has changed quite a bit compared to the past. The most noticeable change is that all parfaits have been replaced with cup fruit soft serves, and all drinks have been discontinued. However, there was some exciting news announced on Instagram! They have started serving crepes, which was a pleasant surprise for me. I decided to order a crepe with soy milk base, chocolate whip, blueberries, caramel sauce, cocoa powder, and Komichi soft serve. The total came to 700 yen. I wanted to try their famous soft serve as well, so I added that as a topping. When I received the crepe, I felt its weight in my hand. It was a bit heavier than I expected. I decided to eat it by the riverbank, as the soft serve started melting as soon as I got it. The crepe came with a logo cookie as a topping, which was a nice touch. The crepe itself had a crispy texture, different from the traditional chewy type. It was light and easy to eat, with a mild milk flavor and a refreshing taste. The combination of fruit and chocolate whip was delicious. However, the soft serve started melting quickly, and there was a big hole in the bottom of the crepe, causing the chocolate whip to drip. It became messy to eat, and I struggled to enjoy it fully. The crepe's packaging also made it difficult to eat without making a mess. The logo sticker on the wrapping paper hindered the eating experience. Despite the messy situation, I still appreciate the unique offerings at Komichi. I hope they improve the way they serve the crepes, and maybe consider bringing back the parfait menu. Overall, it was an interesting experience.

I ordered the 350 yen Corn S. They recommended the 400 yen Roll R, which is smaller in size but more satisfying. It is a maple-flavored corn ice cream that gives a creamy taste of milk. The sweetness is mild and refreshing. Even though I ordered the S size, the cone was filled with ice cream all the way inside, so S was enough to satisfy me.

I wanted something sweet and decided to visit Komichi, which I had been wanting to try for a while. I ordered the strawberry cup, which had soft serve ice cream topped with diced strawberries and crunchy bits. The ice cream was rich and had plenty of strawberries in it. For 550 yen, the portion size was great. The only downside is that there is only standing counter seating, so it might be uncomfortable when it's crowded.

Last year, I missed out on Komichi's chestnut parfait. This year, they had two types: hojicha and framboise, and I couldn't decide so I went with the larger one. The soft serve ice cream here is made with low-temperature pasteurized milk from Inoue Farm in Takikami Town, Hokkaido, giving it a strong milky flavor. Under the Mont Blanc cream, there is plenty of this soft serve ice cream. Beneath the soft serve ice cream, there is tangy framboise ice cream, cocoa sponge, and granola. Eating the sponge and granola with the ice cream on top is delicious. The slightly smaller hojicha chestnut parfait also looked delicious!

I had been curious about this shop for a while. Actually, when I came before, it was closed and not open. It's important to do your research, especially in the time of Corona. This time, with the state of emergency being declared again, I checked Instagram carefully. They're open!!! I'm so relieved. I ordered the Berry & Berry. I thought about eating inside the shop, but the weather was nice so I ate outside. The rich soft serve ice cream with the sweet and sour fruits as accents was so refreshing. Especially the blueberries were delicious. They were really sweet blueberries. However, it was a hot sunny day after a long time, so the ice cream started melting like crazy!!! Haha. As I was wiping the overflowing cream with a handkerchief, two girls who seemed to be models gathered by the space along the Sakuragawa River and rushed over to me, asking if I was okay. They offered me wet tissues! They saved me from the ice cream melting incident... Thank you to those two model girls from that time!! I really appreciate it!! (;_;) I wondered why they were models, because they were practicing walking on stage with music playing and they were all young and beautiful. It was impressive in this heat. Everyone was sparkling. Sorry for casually eating my soft serve ice cream next to them... Haha. Because of this incident, I couldn't fully enjoy the rest of my ice cream. I want to come back to try the seasonal limited soft serve ice cream and other flavors that caught my attention, but next time I'll eat inside the shop. Haha.

Another visit. Berry & Berry Cup, 500 yen in the middle of Sozo Street on the bench? Ice cream! It's delicious, but it's hard to come because there is no parking. I have to eat quickly before the parking meter goes up (laughs). A store I want to stop by when I'm on my way to something else!

There is a parfait shop in Nijo Market. I parked next to the entrance and had my companion pick up a takeout. It has strawberries and strawberry flakes. The cup is stylish. The soft serve ice cream from Inoue Farm in Takinoue Town. It has a rich flavor but is refreshing milk soft serve. It goes well with strawberries.

I saw a delicious photo on SNS and decided to stop by the place. After wandering around a bit, a kind man showed me the way to Nijo Market. I found the sign and ordered the limited menu item, the early summer Japanese-style parfait (700 yen). The glass was a bit small, but it was filled with matcha ice cream, milk ice cream, matcha brownie, soybean flour, and as I ate further, custard, white bean paste, and red bean paste. It was a satisfying dish that I didn't get tired of. Looking at the menu, I heard that some people even get seconds of the famous milk soft serve... that made me want to get another one too. So, I also ordered the regular milk soft serve (350 yen) to go. The generous serving of soft serve was handed to me right away. Enjoying the soft serve in the market, amidst the hustle and bustle of the world, I was able to feel the arrival of early summer.

Soft Serve Ice Cream - 300 yen I tried the rich soft serve ice cream made with low-temperature pasteurized milk available at Nijo Market. It had a nice milk fragrance and a rich flavor, but with a refreshing aftertaste. It was delicious! Despite the current situation with fewer people visiting Nijo Market, there was a small line at this soft serve ice cream shop. If it weren't for the pandemic, there would likely be a long queue. For those who don't like waiting in line, now is the chance to visit!

Sapporo sightseeing spot, Komichi, is a soft serve ice cream specialty store located within the Nijo Market. Despite its small size, it offers a cozy and hidden gem-like atmosphere. The menu features seasonal fruits such as strawberries. Customers ahead of me ordered the strawberry cake parfait without hesitation. As a beginner with a full stomach, I opted for the classic milk soft serve in a small size. The friendly staff worked efficiently in the tiny space. The flavor was incredibly rich and creamy, with a refreshing milk taste complemented by a sweet caramel cone. It was a delightful treat and perfect for a quick snack after exploring the market or as a palate cleanser after a seafood bowl. Highly recommended!

I went to Komichi in Nijo Market! I had been wanting to go since last year, but it was closed from November. It reopened at the end of February, but with limited hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12pm to 3pm, making it difficult to find the right timing. Finally, in March, I was able to go. I couldn't decide between the Ichigo Marugoto ON and the strawberry cake-style parfait, which is only available in March. The parfait is made with sweet strawberries directly sourced from the market, with plenty of sponge cake and whipped cream, giving it a taste similar to eating a strawberry shortcake. The soft serve ice cream is a refreshing milk soft serve made with Inoue Farm's milk. My family ordered a chocolate banana cup and a strawberry sundae. The sundae had only sauce without any fruit. Right now, you can get a 100 yen discount if you follow them on Instagram!

I made a new discovery at Nijo Market! After enjoying a delicious coffee and taking about 10 steps to head back to the office, I stumbled upon a newly opened gelato shop. It looked so delicious! My instincts were telling me to try it, but my rational side was saying to resist. In the end, my instincts won, and I ordered a "Strawberry Cup" and a "Berry Berry Cup" from a young girl at the counter. The total came to 1,100 yen. I asked if they had takeout bags, but unfortunately, they didn't. So, I ended up walking back to the office with the cute gelato cups in hand. It was quite a sight for a man over 50 to be carrying gelato cups like a servant for his younger female colleagues. When we finally got back to the office, we indulged in our gelato cups - I had the Berry Cup and my colleague had the Strawberry Cup. The first words out of our mouths were about how sweet and delicious the gelato was. Despite it being morning, the gelato tasted amazing with the rich flavor of Hokkaido milk. It was a truly delightful gelato experience. Thank you for the delicious treat!

I saw a parfait on Instagram that I wanted to try. I asked my husband to take me to get it (even though he really wanted shaved ice). It was quite a large portion but only cost 650 yen. It seemed like a good price for a parfait. It had sweet potato chips, sweet potato honey, and sweet potato paste (which was softer than regular sweet potatoes). The cold soft serve was refreshing, just the right amount of sweetness and very tasty. The toppings made of sweet potatoes were quite sweet, I think it would have been better if they were a bit less sweet. Wait, they said there was pie in it but I don't think there was...? It's not in the picture either, right? I was looking forward to the pie... A sweet potato pie parfait would have been nice. Overall, it was a bit different from what I imagined, but still delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Within Nijo Market ♪ If you're a tourist, you'd probably go for the melon without hesitation. As for me, I chose the Berry & Berry soft serve in a cup. It had both strawberry and blueberry flavors. The strawberry shaped like a heart was so cute! The soft serve is said to have less fat content, which made me happy. It was delicious! I thought the amount of fruit was moderate, but to my surprise, there were even more at the bottom, which was a nice touch. The soft serve was generous, and the cup ended up being quite heavy haha. I felt like it was a good deal for 500 yen. I definitely want to come back here again. Thank you for the meal~♪

I visited a standing parfait shop at Nijo Market. It's a stylish place where you can stand and enjoy your parfait at a small counter. I chose the strawberry parfait for 500 yen. They provided a cup of water while I waited for my order. The parfait was quickly served, and it looked cute with heart-shaped strawberries. I enjoyed the strawberry-flavored soft serve, which had a smooth texture and a good balance of sweetness and acidity. As I ate, I discovered more strawberries at the bottom, which was a pleasant surprise. The shop is popular among foreign tourists, and I hope they continue to do well. Thank you for the delicious treat!

On a certain holiday, amidst the confusion in the capital area and various other places, I stopped by a shop in Nijo Market in Chuo Ward known for its fruits and soft serve ice cream. The shop suddenly appeared as I walked through the narrow aisles of the market, with a small space that had a reception counter and small tables along the walls. There was no background music playing, just the nostalgic songs of the past that echoed through the aisles, familiar to those of our generation. On this day, I decided to try the limited edition "Red Meat Melon Soft Serve (600 yen)" instead of the regular strawberry soft serve. Taking a bite... The soft serve, which initially appeared quite large, turned out to have a refreshing and slightly crunchy texture, not overly sweet but rather pleasant. Oh, I found 6 pieces of red meat melon fruit at the bottom! Since I don't usually eat melon, I felt like a tourist enjoying the melon and soft serve. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy the combination of melon and soft serve. Thank you for the meal.

I participated in the "Soft Serve Ice Cream Stamp Rally" and tried the "Whole Strawberry ON" (including tax 550 yen) to see if it would make a good Instagram photo. The strawberry and soft serve ice cream are connected by Pocky sticks. The large, low-acid strawberry is delicious! The crunchy strawberry topping has a nice balance of acidity and a crispy texture, which is tasty! However, the soft serve ice cream itself is too bland and lacks presence. While the soft serve ice cream on its own has a clean milk flavor and is delicious, when combined with the flavorful strawberry and crunch, the deliciousness is completely lost... It's a shame. Maybe I should look for toppings that can bring out the best in the light soft serve ice cream. It might be better to sell the soft serve ice cream on its own. Thank you, "Komichi"!

Finally, finally, finally made it there! It's not just Instagram-worthy, but also looks great on Tabelog (a popular food review platform in Japan). The presentation was impressive, and the taste definitely lived up to expectations. The Very Berry and Kiwi Berry were delicious! It was so tasty. There were a lot of toppings, so I'll stop my review here, haha.

After lunch, my friend wanted to have some soft serve ice cream. We tried heading to Umieru-san but they were closed, so we went to Komichi-san instead. This time, I tried the soft serve with a whole strawberry on top. I was surprised to see the strawberry held in place by a chocolate stick. I thought I could eat the whole strawberry, but the chocolate was hard. Last time, I thought the soft serve was refreshing, but this time it was quite sweet. Maybe it's because I had it with sliced strawberries last time. The soft serve seems to go well with fruits. Next time, I'll try the soft serve with lots of strawberries. Thank you for the meal.
