I visited the nearby Italian restaurant KJR, where Chef K created a new doughnut shop. The doughnuts were delicious! The crème brûlée was pleasantly bitter and to my liking. Although I usually prefer cakes, I don't eat doughnuts often. But I'm glad I tried his special doughnuts.

I finally visited Give Me Donuts, which seems to be very popular since its opening in May. I went there aiming for the opening time, so I was able to eat freshly made fluffy donuts. The pistachio cream was very rich and delicious. I also had an affogato latte with ice cream topping, which paired well with the espresso. I recommend dining in rather than taking out, as the donuts are more delicious when eaten fresh. There were many tempting items such as the limited-time peach shortcake donut and sandwiches from Ayasand, so I would like to visit again.

I prefer fluffy doughnuts, so I bought one with coffee cream and one with custard cream. Both were not too sweet, and the dough was fluffy and moist, very delicious that I ate them up quickly! Near the register, there was a set of small donuts like the D-pop from Mister Donut. The selling point of these donuts is that they are not greasy and are refreshing. We quickly brought them back home to enjoy as a snack. I tried the fresh donut, chocolate fashion, and mini donuts (we shared them to avoid consuming too many calories). The fresh donut was recommended to be eaten right away. It had a decent elasticity, not too fluffy, and had a unique moist and slightly oily texture. It felt quite oily at the time, so I thought maybe it would be better with a light cream. I also thought it might be good to have it with milk. The chocolate fashion had a juicy oily feel as well, with a nice crispy texture. The chocolate was on the bitter side. My family members at home had similar thoughts. The size of the mini donuts was just right. Maybe it was just an off day? Overall, it was a decent meal!

On May 3, 2023, I visited the "give me donuts" store located next to "AYASAND." It was around 1:00 pm, and there were about 20 people, both men and women, eagerly looking into the store. Inside, there was one female staff member handling customer service, another female staff member packing purchased items, and three female staff members in the kitchen. The service was a bit slow due to only one person handling it, and I waited in line for about 40 minutes. The interior of the store had a retro feel, like a foreign cottage in the countryside, with wooden decor and dim lighting. The spring sunlight streamed in through the windows. As the line moved forward, I entered the store and saw donuts lined up along the back wall. Customers used tongs and trays to pick their desired items. They also ordered sandwiches and drinks from the refrigerated case near the register. Many customers were buying multiple items, with some spending over 7,000 yen. I purchased the "Old Fashioned @210," "give me Seasonal Cream @360," and "give me Pistachio @380." The Old Fashioned donut was larger than those at Mister Donut, but the price was about double. It had a firm American-style texture, not too sweet, and easy to eat, although I felt it was a bit lacking in terms of cost performance. The Seasonal Cream donut had cherry blossom cream, with a hint of saltiness and mild sweetness, capturing the essence of spring. I look forward to trying other seasonal flavors in the future. The Pistachio donut, a favorite choice of my wife, had a restrained sweetness and a creamy pistachio filling with a rich texture. It was my favorite among the items I purchased this time. The manager jokingly said I looked like a god of fortune. I bought a few items including a donut, and observed that most customers were buying multiple items. I believe it's important to try different items to evaluate the shop. I purchased NMD donut for 280 yen, Give Me Custard for 320 yen, French Cruller for 320 yen, and Pistachio (price unknown). The prices are similar to other shops like Milk Do. I prefer traditional donuts from bakeries, so I rarely buy from chains like Mister Donut. Out of the items I bought, I liked the Give Me Custard the most. Overall, it was a good experience trying out different donuts at the new shop.
