Even though I couldn't buy Hida beef, Matsusaka beef, or Hanamidori to compare, I enjoyed the retort curry. Hida Beef Curry: The red roux with a slight acidity, perhaps from tomatoes? Chunks of carrots and potatoes, reminiscent of Bon Curry. The meat is smaller than the mystery meat in Cup Noodles, of course, you can't really tell it's Hida beef. Matsusaka Beef Curry: The black roux has a thick and rich taste. Chunks of carrots and potatoes. The meat is very small, but there's more compared to Hida beef. Hanamidori Chicken Curry: A curry from the sukiyaki restaurant "Hakata Hanamidori". It has an easy-to-eat flavor with a strong depth from the chicken broth base. Lots of chicken chunks. I found out that Kitano Ace had opened a store at Marui Imai, so I visited the store. I didn't have much time, so I quickly headed to the carrot dressing that I wanted. I also picked up some other items that caught my eye. I purchased Kitano Selection Carrot Dressing (500 yen + tax) and Fluffy Egg Omelette Dashi (259 yen + tax). I had tried the carrot dressing before and liked it, so I was happy to see it available in Sapporo. The bottle of carrot dressing needs to be opened with a bottle opener like a beer bottle. I tried it on a salad, and even though the photo doesn't show it well because of the purple cabbage, the dressing is thick and has a mild taste of carrots without any strong flavor. It is made with fresh Japanese carrots and is designed to be enjoyable even for those who don't like the smell of carrots. It goes well with simple salads like lettuce or cabbage. However, when used with stronger flavored vegetables like asparagus or purple cabbage, it might be overshadowed. I bought the Fluffy Egg Omelette Dashi because I was a little tired of making my own egg omelette. Just adding it to beaten eggs results in a slightly sweet omelette. I also bought the Adult Furikake (369 yen + tax) which contains cod, small shrimp, sesame seeds, and seaweed from Hokkaido. It has a subtle taste of cod and allows you to enjoy the flavors of the ingredients. Next time, I want to take my time to look at seasonings and other items.

Welcome! A new store has opened in the Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store B1 in the Chuo Ward, Odori area, which has taken over the seasoning and ingredients corner that used to be lined up! Each corner has a dizzying variety of options! I happened to notice the funassyi bottle of TKG soy sauce in front of me, but I was drawn in by the announcement and ended up getting a surprise bag! When I opened the surprise bag, I found it was quite heavy. I tore it open and inside was Baumkuchen, sweet potato chips for kids' snacks, and a cookie assortment of high quality. Previously located on the second floor of Ikeuchi GATE, Kitano Ace was a fun store to browse through various regional curries, instant ramen, and original products. However, I was disappointed to find out that it had disappeared. But then, I found out through word of mouth that it had opened in the basement of Marui, so I went to check it out. The store seems to have a smaller floor area now, so the number of items may have decreased, but I was thrilled to be able to shop for my favorite products once again. I bought several of my favorite original items like soba and oil, as well as some new items like lukewarm beef curry. I'm happy that I can buy them again and plan to visit the store more often.

It was on top of the desk, which has been happening a lot lately. Maybe it's because I've been doing more work outside. No, it's not just that. It's the end of the year, so I've been receiving a lot of gifts. Today, I received "Black Sesame Kinako Chigiri Kusa Mochi." The name is long, giving off a healthy vibe that makes me want to rebel. I feel like indulging in something unhealthy as a side dish for alcohol. Anyway, it's soft and squishy. Maybe it's best to eat it straight from the bag. You have to be delicate when picking it up with your hands. It's fine, just eat it already!! It's soft, with crunchy sesame seeds, but the mochi and red bean paste blend together, so the taste doesn't stand out. I couldn't really taste the sweetness. I barely noticed the grass flavor.
