I was finally able to visit this restaurant thanks to a gourmet friend's recommendation. Located just a 3-minute walk from Naka-Meguro Station on the Toyoko Line, it gives off a sophisticated hidden gem vibe off the bustling street, catering to a wide range of needs from dates to business entertaining. Upon entering, there is a members-only bar on the left, with a long counter extending towards the back in a spacious and open setting with high ceilings. The owner trained at Sushi Yoshikawa in Azabujuban before opening this place. Having had a great time at the Azabujuban location with delicious food and excellent service, my expectations were high. The restaurant operates in two shifts (First Shift: 6:00 pm, Second Shift: 8:30 pm), and we visited during the second shift. Makuake Member Exclusive Omakase Course (with all-you-can-drink: 16,500 yen) - Fatty tuna tempura topped with sea urchin and yuzu pepper sauce - Seared mackerel - Medium fatty tuna - Pacific saury - Marinated scallop - Spot prawn - Tuna red meat - Beltfish with plum paste - Seared amberjack - Toro and egg yolk thick roll with red miso soup - Eel dog - Salmon roe rice bowl - Dessert As a member-exclusive service, I ordered an additional Toro and egg yolk thick roll. Everything was delicious, but I was particularly impressed by the searing technique. The texture of the skin, the juiciness of the flesh, the beautifully charred surface, and the slight bitterness all combined to create a delightful experience not just for the taste buds but also for the sense of smell, sight, and even hearing. The seared beltfish was like a piece of art, with the crispy skin and juicy flesh coexisting in a way I've never experienced before with the same ingredient. Personally, I loved how the menu featured my favorite tuna in various dishes. The presentation of the Dragon Ball roll was top-notch, with seven egg yolks lined up before rolling, exuding a divine aura that made me want to bow down in prayer for world peace and good fortune in my culinary adventures. The marinated egg yolk added a delightful touch to the uni and tuna flavors. The eel dog and salmon roe rice bowl were also delicious, and considering the portion size, 16,500 yen is quite reasonable.

This thick sushi roll is definitely recommended to try at least once. The alcohol is reasonably priced, as expected from a mid-range sushi restaurant. The sushi rice is small and vinegar-flavored, which I like. The toppings are carefully prepared and look good, and they taste great in your mouth. This time, almost half of the customers were foreigners. Let's do our best, Japanese people.

The course starting from 8:30 pm was a steal at only 10,000 yen. The sashimi, one-plate dish, and sushi were all top-notch, but the legendary Dragon Ball roll was the highlight. Personally, the eel dog was the best with its amazing texture and sauce. There were a lot of foreign tourists, and the head chef's smile was truly as great as rumored. You won't find a smile as lovely as his.

I used this restaurant for my birthday dinner. I made a last-minute reservation for the 8:30 pm slot. Half of the customers in this slot were from overseas. The staff provided service in English and I could feel their dedication to providing the best service to all customers. The course meal was excellent, with incredibly fresh ingredients that satisfied me from the first dish. The sushi melted in my mouth and was delicious. The chef always served with a smile, which was lovely. I definitely want to make a reservation again at this restaurant.

A trendy and affordable sushi restaurant. They start with a light and refreshing diced pickled radish. The sushi toppings and nigiri style are standard, but the seasoning is unique and interesting. The standout item is the Dragon Ball roll, although the taste is just average compared to its appearance. It would be more fitting for the concept if they added something to change the texture a bit. The most delicious dish was probably the crispy eel roll. The surprise when you bite into it is a new texture that is both delicious and fun. The only disappointment was that the final chirashi sushi could have been closer to perfection, so I would rate it 3.5.

This restaurant was a truly wonderful experience for me. They are very kind and provide attentive care and positive energy not only to Japanese customers, but also to foreigners. The quality of the ingredients at this restaurant is truly impressive. The owner is particular about selecting seafood, and I felt that their ability to offer such high-quality ingredients at a reasonable price is a major attraction. The dishes I had were refined and satisfying in portion size. Because of these factors, I can confidently say that this restaurant has a very high overall rating. They offer friendly service, high-quality ingredients, and dishes that are worth the price. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There is a small glass sign on the left side of the entrance of Sushi Tatsu-ya Yoshikawa in Naka-Meguro. This is a branch of Sushi Yoshikawa and they serve a specialty Dragon Ball roll. Watching the akami, otoro, uni, and egg yolk being generously placed and rolled right in front of you made me feel so happy (´ฅ•ω•ฅ`)♡ The eel dog was interesting with its crispy and fluffy texture and delicious taste! The sushi pieces are on the smaller side, but towards the end, you get a roll and ikura bowl which is just right for the stomach. The omakase course for 11,000 yen is very reasonable and worth it! The chef's smile is also fantastic. This is definitely a place I want to visit again. #SushiTatsu-yaYoshikawa #SushiYoshikawa #TokyoGourmet #TokyoSushi #TokyoDinner #NakaMeguroGourmet #NakaMeguroSushi #NakaMeguroDinner #Sushi #SushiLovers #NakaMeguro #ConnectWithSushiLovers #DeliciousFood #DateSpot #Foodies #Foodstagram #Tokyo #Sushi #TokyoSushi #TokyoGourmet #genic_food #instafood #gourmet #dinner #sushilovers

Blog "Tokyu Line, Food Tour" - https://asante.blog/ Known for its Instagrammable oversized sushi rolls, "Sushi Yoshikawa Ebisu" opened a branch in Naka-Meguro in May 2022 as a spin-off of the original restaurant. I visited this place during the month that marked its first anniversary. I had previously visited the Ebisu branch for work in June 2022, where I enjoyed a meal at a table. This time, I sat at the counter, and it truly enhanced the sushi experience. The distinct flavors of the sushi were just as impressive as at the Ebisu branch, but the Naka-Meguro branch, with only 12-3 counter seats, had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The head chef, always smiling, and the friendly staff created a sense of unity in providing an enjoyable dining experience. The cozy size of the restaurant made it very comfortable. Additionally, there were 6 foreign customers during my visit, and they were served in fluent English. This restaurant caters to a diverse clientele. I opted for the "Chef's Omakase Course" priced at 11,000 yen, which included the following: - Diced Zasai Pickles - Yuzu Squash (palate cleanser) - Seared Bonito - Medium Fatty Tuna (sashimi) - Kohada Sushi - Horse Mackerel Sushi with Green Onions and Ginger - Sandfish Sushi - Thornhead Sushi - Turban Shell - Aori Ika Sushi with Green Yuzu and Salt - Sea Urchin Gunkan Sushi - Shrimp Sushi - Whale Bacon - Fatty Tuna Sushi with Shallots - Toro and Egg Yolk Oversized Sushi Roll (Dragon Ball Roll) - Eel Hand Roll - Salmon Roe Rice Bowl - Miso Soup - Dessert For drinks, I ordered: - Ebisu Draft Beer x2 - Chita Highball x2 - Wa Heat Cocktail - Umeboshi Sour The "Wa Heat" cocktail with a hint of shiso was particularly delightful. The service was attentive, and I was promptly served my drinks. Among the dishes, the rich flavors of the Bonito and Medium Fatty Tuna sashimi stood out, followed by the beautifully presented Kohada sushi. The Horse Mackerel was marinated to perfection, and the Red Vinegar rice complemented it well. The Turban Shell was a special treat, generously served as a gift for the restaurant's first anniversary. The Aori Ika had a refreshing aroma of green yuzu, and the Shrimp sushi was sweet and savory. The Whale Bacon was surprisingly delicious, and the Fatty Tuna with Shallots was a harmonious combination. The highlight was the Dragon Ball Roll, a visually stunning and delicious creation with layers of Uni, Fatty Tuna, Lean Tuna, and 7 egg yolks. It was a challenging roll to make, but the chef executed it flawlessly. The balance of flavors and textures in this oversized roll was exceptional. Overall, the dining experience at Sushi Yoshikawa in Naka-Meguro was outstanding, combining aesthetics and flavors seamlessly.

I was welcomed by a warm message card placed on the counter, and from the start, there were specialty dishes on display, as well as original and creative sushi and dishes. The sushi prepared by the smiling chef was so delicious that it left me speechless, and I couldn't help but wonder what would come next. I opted for the member-exclusive menu with specialty dishes and all-you-can-drink (¥16,500). Here is the menu that filled my stomach and heart: - Specialty - Tempura of fatty tuna topped with sea urchin and yuzu pepper sauce. A luxurious combination of crispy rare fatty tuna, creamy sea urchin, shallots, and yuzu pepper sauce on a bed of high-grade seaweed and rice. - Palate cleanser - Refreshing yuzu squash to cleanse the palate. - Appetizer (sashimi) - Bonito, medium fatty tuna. The bonito is seared, bursting with rich umami flavors. The lightly seared medium fatty tuna is melt-in-your-mouth delicious with a sweet fattiness. The thick slices were a pleasant surprise. - Sushi (four pieces) - Edomae-style kohada, horse mackerel, sandfish, barracuda. The kohada is elegantly vinegared, light and refreshing. The horse mackerel is tender with a hint of ginger and green onions. The sandfish marinated in kelp is subtly flavorful. The barracuda with seared skin has a delicate yet deep taste. - Grilled dish - Grilled sea bream with yuzu sauce. The sea bream wrapped in seaweed is handed over hot. The tender and flaky flesh is mouth-watering, making it perfect for pairing with sake. After enjoying two glasses of dry CAVA, I switched to white wine "Baron Philippe de Sauvignon Blanc 2020". - Sushi (four pieces) - Bigfin reef squid, fatty tuna, mantis shrimp, fatty tuna. The bigfin reef squid is chewy with a hint of salt and yuzu. The fatty tuna and pickled radish are a classic combination. The mantis shrimp with a sweet sauce is delightful. The fatty tuna is topped with soy sauce and sautéed shallots. - Unique sushi - Dragon Ball roll with rich red soup sauce. A luxurious roll with fatty tuna, tuna, plenty of sea urchin, and a shiny egg yolk. The creamy egg yolk pairs beautifully with the lavish ingredients, enhancing the flavors. - Intermezzo - Simmered tuna with cream cheese. As expected, I craved red wine and enjoyed a glass of "De Gras Pinot Noir" as my final drink. - Chef's creation eel dog - Unagi grilled in the Kansai style, crispy skin, tender flesh, and exceptional sauce. - Mini rice bowl and seaweed miso soup - Despite feeling full, I devoured the salmon roe, tuna, and white fish chirashi with just the right portion size. - Dessert - White chocolate and berry mousse with mango sauce. The visually appealing mousse reminiscent of a Dragon Ball was light and airy with a hint of acidity, a perfect ending to the meal. Looking at the entire course, it felt like I had consumed a substantial amount of rice, but the sushi rice was small in size and well-balanced, allowing me to enjoy every bite until the end. The value for money sushi with specialty dishes and all-you-can-drink was a delight for a sake lover like me. My favorites were the specialty dishes, Dragon Ball roll, and eel dog. The unique offerings make me want to visit again soon.

Ebisu [Sushi Yoshikawa] opened as a branch of [Sushi Tatsuya Yoshikawa] and is located in a quiet and tranquil area just a minute away from Yamanote Street, even though it is conveniently situated only 2 minutes from Naka-Meguro Station. The beautiful interior with a white counter has a stylish and modern Japanese atmosphere. This time, I tried the "Members-only Course (¥16,500)" which includes a sushi course and all-you-can-drink, making it a great value for the price. I visited with a member friend, so we were able to enjoy a special course. We started with a toast with sparkling wine, followed by various dishes such as pickled zasai, deep-fried fatty tuna topped with sea urchin and yuzu pepper sauce, and seared medium fatty tuna. Each dish was delicious and well-balanced, creating a delightful dining experience. The meal was accompanied by refreshing drinks like sparkling yuzu water and Sauvignon Blanc. The highlights included dishes like marinated bonito, grilled horse mackerel with grapefruit juice and salt, and a special dragon ball roll with tuna, egg yolk, and sea urchin. The eel dock and bara chirashi were also exceptional, providing a satisfying end to the meal. The experience was truly enjoyable and I highly recommend this restaurant for a special dining experience.

▼Access: 2 minutes walk from Meguro Station ▼Scene: Dinner with friends ▼Price: 16,500 yen ▼Order: [Makuake Member Exclusive Course] ・Uni and Shallot ★ The beauty of the dish was so exhilarating, not just visually but also in terms of richness, umami, and texture. I was convinced that choosing this restaurant was the right decision for the day. ・Yuzu Squash ・Katsuo ・Chutoro ・Kohada ・Aji ・Kisu Konbu Shime ・Kamasu Shio and Grapefruit. It was a melting experience. ・Seabass Yuzu An-yaki ・Spear Squid ・Maguro Akami ・Shako ・Otoro ★ Served with shallot. The way the Otoro fat melts and the crunch of the shallot, the flavor was a tongue-tantalizing experience that made me want to eat it again. ・Makimono ★ Egg yolk, akami, otoro, uni all wrapped together in a roll, each ingredient shining as a star. The sauce provided was a rich and fragrant broth made by simmering various seafood ingredients. It was not just a visually appealing dish, but truly moving. ・Unagi Dock A soy-based sauce blended with onion and ginger. The harmony of the nori and eel flavors was wonderful, with the crispy texture of the eel skin matching the nori perfectly in terms of aroma, texture, and visual appeal. ・Owan ・Shime Chirashi Plenty of ikura on bite-sized rice to finish. ・Creme d'Anjou This restaurant, "Tatsu-ya," opened in Nakameguro in May 2022 by Ishida, who trained at Jyuban at Sushi Yoshikawa in Ebisu. The name "Tatsu-ya" comes from Ishida Tatsuya's name. The rumored popular "Dragon Ball Roll" from Sushi Yoshikawa was a sight to behold from the moment it was being prepared, with the customers at the counter captivated. Not only the name and appearance, but the attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation made it a satisfying experience. The "Makuake Member Exclusive Course" consisted of hearty and original dishes. It was truly delicious! Thank you for the meal!!

■Access 2 minutes walk from Naka-Meguro Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line ■Visit Frequency First time ■Purpose Dinner with friends ■Overview Located in a quiet alley off Yamanote Street, this sushi restaurant is a branch of the popular Ebisu restaurant "Sushi Yoshikawa," opened in May 2022. It is led by Master Tatsuya Ishida, who gained experience at the Azabu-Juban branch. The restaurant has garnered attention from various sources and was a topic of discussion on crowdfunding platforms. ■Menu Only omakase course available (11,000 yen). Limited to supporters from crowdfunding, there is a special course with all-you-can-drink priced at 16,500 yen. On this day, we had the supporter-exclusive course, which included: - Uni and tempura hand roll - Pickled vegetables - Citrus juice - Whale - Medium fatty tuna - Rockfish - Shrimp - Sea bream and fuki bud nori roll - Splendid alfonsino - Scallop - Fatty tuna with egg yolk - Eel dock - Miso soup - Creme d'Anjou ■Impressions I visited this sushi restaurant in Naka-Meguro for the first time after being invited by a friend who frequents the original Ebisu branch of "Sushi Yoshikawa." The menu here combines signature dishes like the famous "Dragon Ball Roll" with original creations. The course started with a specialty dish - toro tempura and uni roll. The combination of thick toro tempura, rich uni, and shallot and yuzu pepper sauce was a unique and delicious creation. The nigiri sushi section that followed was also impressive, especially the rockfish nigiri seasoned with salt and pink grapefruit, which enhanced the fish's flavor with a perfect balance of acidity. The highlight was the signature toro, uni, and egg yolk roll, made right in front of us, showcasing the chef's creativity and skill. The combination of tuna, uni, and egg yolk was luxurious and delicious. The selection of sake was also excellent, including rare options like Ni-Fuyuko from Hokkaido. The restaurant operates in two shifts, at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. I arrived at 6:00 PM, but had trouble finding the place despite it being a street-level store. The interior of the restaurant is small and not very spacious. What surprised me was the high cost performance. I have been to quite a few sushi restaurants, but this one seems to be one of the top three in terms of cost performance. I was a bit worried about the portion size when I made the reservation, but the egg yolk uni toro roll and the eel dog had a satisfying amount, and my stomach was fully satisfied. The person next to me seemed to be a member and was enjoying a special menu. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

The seaweed rolls were exceptionally delicious, I wanted to keep eating them over and over. The eel seaweed roll was amazing. The tempura seaweed roll that came out first was also incredible. I was allowed to add three more rolls, but was told not to add any more seaweed rolls. I ordered shrimp, squid, and tuna nigiri. The shrimp nigiri was especially delicious.

I visited this sushi restaurant near my house that I had been curious about. It is located very close to Naka-Meguro Station, making it easily accessible, but the signboard of the restaurant is subtle, making it a hidden gem sushi restaurant. Due to the cherry blossom viewing season, the area near the station was crowded, but once inside the restaurant, I was able to relax in a spacious and tranquil atmosphere. The restaurant only has a counter seating, and upon taking a seat, I was welcomed with a message from the head chef. This kind of subtle attention to detail was very pleasing. I started with a glass of sake, followed by the chef's omakase course with all-you-can-drink drinks for 16,500 yen. The meal began with a luxurious hand-rolled sushi filled with fatty tuna tempura, sea urchin, shallots, and yuzu pepper, setting high expectations for the rest of the course. The meal continued with various dishes such as pickled vegetables, sashimi, and nigiri sushi, each expertly prepared and served with a drink pairing. The highlight of the meal was a special sushi roll made with toro, egg yolk, sea urchin, and a rich red miso sauce, which was a unique and delicious experience. The meal ended with a creative eel sandwich and a fun twist on traditional sushi. The chef's passion and creativity were evident in each dish, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and impressed.

I went to this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation that it is reasonable, user-friendly, and delicious! With all-you-can-drink for ¥16,500 per person, it's in Nakameguro! I think they are really making the best effort at this price point! I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant where you can have a moderate level of fun and it's easy to become a repeat customer! I will definitely visit again! #Nakameguro #Sushi #SushiTatsuyaYoshikawa
