A cafe opened on January 26th in Chuwawa, Asahikawa City. The cafe mainly serves pasta, as well as various dishes from different countries and vegan options. The interior of the cafe, designed in brown and orange tones, has a chic and stylish atmosphere. Located on the same street as the relocated "cafe chater" in Chuwawa, facing the ring road. I visited the cafe on its second weekend since opening, and it was busy with customers even after my visit. I ordered the "Shrimp Nasi Goreng" (1,320 yen) that caught my eye on the cafe's Instagram. I also opted for the "Drink & Mini Dessert Set" (400 yen), choosing jasmine tea as my drink, and the mini dessert was a "Jiggly Hojicha Pudding" on that day. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes. The Shrimp Nasi Goreng is not a vegan dish, but it uses soy meat. It was described as an Indonesian stir-fry. The large shrimp used in the dish left an impression, and the taste was slightly spicy. I could also taste some acidity and richness, making it quite authentic. I started by enjoying the Nasi Goreng alone and then mixed it with the "Onsen Tamago" (soft-boiled egg) later. The plate also included a vegetable salad, macaroni salad, and chips. The vegetable salad, with lettuce, purple cabbage, bell pepper, carrot, and a delicious dressing, was very tasty. After the meal, the mini dessert and drink were served. The Jiggly Hojicha Pudding had a fragrant roasted green tea aroma, and it was served with whipped cream and mint. The jasmine tea, served in a generous amount, was my drink choice. For those looking for vegan options, there were four choices available that day, including the "Weekly Special." Despite the common belief that cafe meals are small, the portions here were sufficient. There were also many male customers. The cafe closes at 8 p.m., making it a good option for dinner after work. The cafe is run by a female chef-owner and a male staff member, both of whom provided very friendly service.
