I was walking around Otaru Sakaimachi Street, buying souvenirs and exploring. The weather was nice during the day, and it was hot outside, making me crave something cold. Oh, in Hokkaido, soft serve ice cream would be perfect!! There are many soft serve ice cream shops on this tourist street, but the one with the most people was "Sugi Bee Garden," so I decided to try it there. I found out that it's actually a shop from Kumamoto when I looked it up while writing this review. It's a honey specialty store with over 70 stores nationwide. In Hokkaido, they have 4 stores in Otaru, Noboribetsu, Hakodate, and Asahikawa. Inside, there are various honey products, but I was aiming for the soft serve ice cream and wanted to enjoy some honey as well. The Honeycomb Honey Soft Serve Ice Cream costs 830 yen. The soft serve ice cream is sold facing the outside, and although it's a bit pricey, it's a premium soft serve ice cream, their signature item. Since there was no seating available, I sat on the chairs from the shop where I bought souvenirs earlier. "I was taking my time and it started melting. Oh no, it's so hot, I need to eat it quickly." The soft serve ice cream had honey chunks and a wafer. The soft serve was elegant and light, a delicious soft serve ice cream. When I tried the honey chunk, it was extremely rich, with a 100% fruit juice honey density, super sweet. When combined with the soft serve, the honey dominated with a 300% intensity. It was a honey victory showdown. Honey is healthy, right? Manuka honey is still popular. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
