When I used to live there, I didn't know about Miyoshino. I started to notice it when I visited on a trip. Finally, I was able to go! The curry tasted just like the nostalgic flavor of school lunches. The gyoza goes well with beer! Personally, I like it more than Osho! Be aware that there are only 5 seats here, so groups should take note!

My friend from Honshu really wanted to eat here, so even though I was already full, I decided to join them. As soon as you walk in, there's a ticket machine on the left which caught me off guard since I wasn't prepared with my wallet. We shared gyoza, curry, and bottled beer among the three of us adults. Sorry for eating even though I was full. This is a must-try Hokkaido comfort food spot, Miyoshi!

I wonder how many years it has been. When I was a child, I used to often eat takeout curry from Miyoshi. Among the many locations, I heard that the Susukino store is the most delicious, so I visited for the first time. Wow?! It really is delicious... Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but... the curry itself is delicious~!! The dumplings are also pleasantly soft and just to my liking w. The rice is also delicious! I might become a Miyoshi fan! I want to eat it again. Thank you for the meal ★

I topped my gyoza curry with cheese. When I ordered curry topped with cheese at other restaurants, the cheese often melted, which was different from what I expected. However, when I tried it, it was not bad at all. It expanded my culinary horizons.

After a few years, I visited Miyoshino again. When it comes to Miyoshino, it's all about gyoza! I usually have the gyoza set meal, but since it's been a while, I tried the "Miyoshino set" which includes curry and gyoza. The curry sauce was less than I expected, so eating the gyoza with rice as a side dish was just right.

I visited "Miyoshi", a popular restaurant in Susukino, Sapporo that I had heard about for a long time. The restaurant was small and I had passed by it a few times without realizing it. It only had 6 seats at the counter. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices, which were very reasonable considering the high cost of living. I went there around 1 am and ordered the Gyoza Curry, which was a combination of curry and gyoza for only 550 yen. The curry had a rich flavor that was not too overpowering, making it a crowd-pleaser. The gyoza were also delicious. The affordable prices, generous portions, and consistent taste explained the restaurant's popularity. I look forward to trying other items on the menu next time I visit.

This is a note to myself. I went to this restaurant last year on my birthday trip. I first learned about this curry from the game "Yakuza". I had the gyoza curry. I thought the spiciness of the curry was just right for me. (I like spicy food)

The gyoza curry at "Miyoshino" loved by the people of Hokkaido. It's a must-eat as it is a soul food! I visited this store in Susukino. When I entered the store, there were 2 staff members but only 5 seats at the counter. Perhaps the turnover is good, or they are somehow making a profit. The constant flow of takeout customers coming in may indicate a good balance of supply and demand. I ordered the gyoza curry (550 yen), of course. It's reassuring to see them making it right in front of you at the counter. As soon as I placed my order, they quickly put rice on a plate, poured curry sauce over it, and placed gyoza on top... Wait, are the gyoza pre-made!?... So that's why the turnover is fast! (laughs) Upon further investigation, it seems you can also order freshly grilled gyoza, so I'll try that next time if I have the chance. The Fukujinzuke is all-you-can-eat, and it seems the Shinzuke is also unlimited. Although the menu only mentions Shinzuke for set meals, I thought it didn't apply to curry, but this was a pleasant surprise. I love pickles, so I had a lot of refills (laughs). As for the curry, other stores offer a choice between mild and spicy, but here there is only one type (I wasn't asked). It's not too sweet or too spicy, somewhere in between. They also provide spices for free, so I added about 10 shakes to make it spicier. I could taste minced meat frequently, but the other ingredients seemed to have melted completely and were not noticeable. The gyoza had a strong punch, which I personally like. I would like to try it without the curry sauce. By the way, be careful as the price of the gyoza curry may vary based on previous reviews. Due to the increase in prices, it seems that this place is also greatly affected. Thank you for the meal.

▽ Gyoza Curry 510 yen
▽ (April 2022)
One of Miyoshi's signature dishes, featuring three gyoza on top of curry. The curry has a moderate level of spiciness with ingredients that blend well, resulting in a flavorful minced meat curry. The gyoza has a thin skin but a firm texture, with a filling that is slightly heavier on vegetables, giving it a simple and comforting taste. The combination of gyoza and curry is quite enjoyable, offering a unique and delicious flavor.

Miyoshi is a gyoza chain that is well-known as a soul food in Hokkaido (Sapporo). Established in 1967, they have expanded their fast-food style gyoza chain mainly in Sapporo. The Nikkei branch is a small store located in the heart of Susukino. I decided to try Miyoshi's gyoza curry, as I had been eating ramen for a while. The taste was as described above, not particularly outstanding but still nostalgic and delicious, especially for someone who has lived in Sapporo for a long time. The unique flavor of Miyoshi was truly enjoyable, and I look forward to trying their gyoza and curry set meal on my next visit to Sapporo.

Miyoshi! This seems to be a hidden gem of Hokkaido's soul food. I was taken here by a local. This time, I ordered the Miyoshi set for 620 yen. It came with 6 dumplings and curry rice. To be honest, it was delicious. The dumplings had a flavor that I liked! The curry rice was like the curry you find at a racetrack, an amusement park, or a pool, with a familiar taste that was delicious. This is what Hokkaido soul food is all about! I thought it was a popular place because of the volume you get for this price. Yay, yay!

On the first night of my business trip to Hokkaido in April 2022, I found myself at Uonai Tei for a late-night meal, fully immersed in the atmosphere of Japan. After that, we split up for the second round without any particular plan in mind. As I started walking aimlessly, I turned a corner and found myself standing in front of Miyoshino, a familiar sight that I had always passed by. Surprisingly, I ended up walking into the restaurant. The dangers of being drunk. I stood there, staring blankly at the menu on the wall, wondering what to order. And the words that came out of my mouth were inevitable. "Miyoshino Set (Curry + 6 Gyoza + Pickles) for 620 yen." The curry rice exuded a sweet and friendly vibe. It's not often that I eat curry after drinking, but this kind of curry was easy to eat without hesitation. The gyoza seemed to be well-cooked. When I actually tasted it, I found that the surface was crispy with a thin skin. Even in my drunken state, I could tell that it was oily. I thought it would go well with beer. I didn't pay much attention to the pickles that came with the set, but it was refreshing and complemented the oily gyoza nicely. Despite being drunk, I finished the meal in no time. The conclusion? Miyoshino is all about the curry that I devoured, the oily gyoza with a crispy skin – that's what Miyoshino is all about.

I saw it on a TV show called "Secret Kenmin Show". It seems to be a soul food in Sapporo. There is something called "gyoza curry"... In the TV show, local people were eating it deliciously, so I wanted to try it once, but in the end, I couldn't resist the temptation of food in Sapporo, so the "gyoza curry" was put on hold. It's just right for after drinking, isn't it? I remembered before returning to the hotel. The interior of the restaurant is quite small (counter seating). I always feel like eating a lot after drinking, so I ordered the gyoza curry for 500 yen. It was cheap! It was still cold in Sapporo, but I safely arrived at the hotel. I opened the gyoza curry on the table. I also added a soft-boiled egg as a topping and dived into the curry. Let's eat! The curry has a spiciness to it, rather than a strong curry spice flavor. It gives the impression of being a curry that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The gyoza also has a punch that is enjoyable for everyone, not just the typical gyoza flavor. The combination of curry and gyoza is not bad in my opinion. It's more of a hit than a miss. The cost performance is also good, and I now understand why it is called soul food. Thank you for the meal.

Gyoza Sapporo: It's my first time visiting Sapporo, and I wonder why no one else is doing this yet! The perfect combination! After drinking in Susukino, the best way to finish off is with curry. There's a place right in the heart of Susukino that's open late at night. You often see people who have had a few drinks heading in to explore late-night food in Sapporo. Is it a chain restaurant? The combination of curry and gyoza seems like an odd but classic choice. It's definitely not bad. I was skeptical at first, but when you mix them together, it's like Keema curry! It's interesting. When you're tired of ramen, you can finish off with curry, which is the soul food of Sapporo. Average customer spending is around 1000 yen. There are counter seats available. Located near Susukino. Thank you for the meal!

While on a business trip, I drank too much and got hungry, so I went to get takeout around 10 p.m. It's just a simple taste, but I often crave it. Maybe it's because the garlic in the dumplings blends well with the curry, giving it a punch. You can only eat it when you come to Hokkaido because it's not available outside the region!

I visited to buy some late-night snacks. It's been about 2 years and 5 months since my last visit. This time, I ordered the "Souvenir Gyoza 12-piece set". I always buy something different here. The gyoza is always delicious no matter when you eat it. It's a delicious taste that never gets old. I hope to visit again soon. Thank you for the meal!

I went to Susukino. After a dinner meeting, I only had two pieces of horse meat sushi and didn't eat any carbohydrates, so I decided to eat rice before heading home. When I looked around, there weren't many people at Miyoshi, so I quickly grabbed some food and left. There were a few customers getting takeout, but at 10pm, is takeout considered a late-night snack? When it comes to Miyoshi, the "Miyoshi Set" is a popular choice. It's a Sapporo soul food, right? I chose the spicy option and waited for my order. Before that, I had some freshly pickled vegetables from the all-you-can-eat bar, which was delicious! I had a small portion first, and when my order was almost ready, I went back for more. It was quite salty, but perfect for finishing off the meal! After about 12 minutes, my order was served. It came with Fukujinzuke on the side. The curry had a hint of minced meat flavor, but not too much, so I could enjoy it with rice. The gyoza was the highlight. The slightly chewy texture was just right. This time, they were nicely crispy on the outside too. Finally, I could relax and enjoy my meal. Thank you for the delicious food!

But, this shop is my first time visiting. Actually, the building where this shop is located is called Nikugeki Building. Nikugeki means Japanese theater, right? In the old days, there used to be a movie theater across from Big Off Sapporo store. And the one across from here was Toho Koraku Kaikan. I wonder why it's called Nikugeki Building? I don't really understand (laughs). Maybe it's because of the building's owner (just guessing). Well, the interior of the shop is small. There are only 5 seats available at the L-shaped counter. It's even smaller than the shop on Kita 24-jo. It doesn't have that family restaurant vibe like the Seiryu store or the local Yakiniku store, but I like this kind of interior. After all, there is only one female waitress handling everything. Today, let's go for the "gyoza set meal." It's been a while since I entered a Miyoshi store, looking at the old photos, it's been since September 2019. Before ordering from the waitress, they brought out water and a container of pickled cabbage. Does this mean I can have all-you-can-eat of my favorite cabbage pickles? At the Yakiniku store, even if you ask for a refill, they bring it in a small plate. Just this alone is enough to eat with rice (laughs). It arrived in about 3 minutes. It's surprising how fast it came. But it's not pre-made. It's freshly baked, piping hot, and juicy inside. It's so delicious (laughs). Maybe I should have had a beer too. It's good to be a Sapporo local (laughs). When it comes to old-fashioned, in Sapporo, it's either the yakisoba shop on Odori or here, right? (laughs) Well, the price has gone up over there, but here, you get a change back from a 500 yen bill (laughs). I also got a candy. They don't serve ramen, but you can have curry here, so I'll come back again, okay? Thank you for the meal.

It's Sunday morning... I had lunch at "Miyoshino" in Susukino. When I entered the restaurant, there were two groups of two customers already there. I sat at the counter seat, as that was the only option. The staff consisted of two people, an older lady and a younger man. The atmosphere of the small restaurant reminded me of places in central Tokyo, even though it was in Hokkaido. I was born and raised in Hokkaido, but I spent a few months living in Tokyo, so it brought back memories of that time.
I was torn between ordering the "Gyoza Set Meal for 498 yen" and the "Gyoza Curry for 470 yen (tax included)." In the end, I chose the "Gyoza Curry." Before the dish arrived, they served me some fresh cabbage and cold water. The dish arrived quickly, all on one plate. The Fukujinzuke (pickled vegetables) and fresh cabbage were free to eat as much as you wanted, and they were delicious.
The curry had a mild flavor with no noticeable spiciness, and I had three gyoza dumplings. If you wanted more spice, you could ask for some free "spice powder" (although I didn't get any). It had been over 20 years since I last visited this restaurant, but the taste was nostalgic and brought back memories. I remember going to the North 24th Street branch in my 20s, where they had a curry all-you-can-eat deal for around 550 yen. The taste hasn't changed much since then (at least according to my memory).
The portion of rice seemed to be more than the curry, so I struggled to finish it all. I would have appreciated some extra curry sauce to help with that. This is a must-visit place in Sapporo for their soul food, so I need to go there occasionally. After paying, they gave me a candy. It was a satisfying meal.

Ordered 'Jumbo set meal + extra large rice', 18 gyoza, extra large rice, miso soup, pickles for 850 yen + 180 yen. Overall, the portion was a bit large, but it was delicious at Miyoshi, where I dined in for the first time in a while! The takeout gyoza had a moist skin since it was baked in advance. Eating in the store provides freshly baked gyoza that is crispy and juicy. Miyoshi's gyoza, which tickles the hearts of Hokkaido locals, is truly soul food.~~~~~~~~~~~ I wish I could eat Miyoshi's gyoza with a beer set.-----------------1F Nikkei Building, 340 Minami 5-jo Nishi 4-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo CityClosed on: No regular holidays-----------------

It was eerie rather than peaceful. Not only was there little snow in December, but the area was seriously sparse of people. Although I have never been to a combat zone, it is said that we should avoid areas where landmines may be buried. On this day, my wandering that combined breakfast, lunch, and dinner began. However, the cold that blew through the end of the year hindered it. The thought of quickly finishing it off crossed my mind. I succumbed to the famous signboard of a new B-class gourmet in Sapporo. The shop was quite cramped in the center of Susukino. Of course, there was a risk lurking there. However, Susukino was probably not the most crowded place. Upon entering, a elderly staff member who seemed to have lost her energy placed a spoon and cabbage pickles wrapped in a plastic bag on the counter. The staple of this shop is undoubtedly the gyoza curry, but the ultimate hunger led me to the "Tokumiyoshi Morikare". I placed my order to the staff member who seemed to have lost her energy. It arrived slowly without much wait. Six burnt gyoza served as a barrier between the rice and the curry. I added a soft-boiled egg to promote harmony with the curry, and also accompanied it with Fukujinzuke. I savored the rice with the gyoza, feeling the strength of the gyoza curry, and the discrepancy between memory and reality loomed. The gyoza also lacked heat. The strong burnt marks and the indifference that seemed like they were made in advance might lower the reputation of this new B-class gourmet. Above all, the lack of vitality and the melancholic atmosphere lingered. At least, in an attempt to break this atmosphere, I firmly finished my meal, paid the bill, and confidently left the restaurant saying "Thank you for the meal"...
