On the last day of the three-day weekend, we decided to have sushi. We arrived around 11:30 and had to wait for about an hour as there were about 10 groups ahead of us. While waiting, we ordered drinks and soon after, our sashimi arrived followed by sushi. The sashimi was delicious, especially the skillful preparation of the sardines. I'm not a fan of shrimp, so I opted for yellowtail instead. The quality of the sushi was decent for the price, considering we ordered a set. The variety of tuna, including four types, was impressive. We were seated in a semi-private room, but even though there were many staff members, it was hard to get their attention. We had to go out of our way to call them over. Additionally, it was inconvenient that the menu was taken away each time we ordered more drinks. I wish they were more flexible in their service, especially for a sushi restaurant in a department store. It was also strange that three staff members were involved in our final bill payment. Despite these issues, the sushi itself was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

My daughter and son love the delicious food at Roshan. We all enjoyed it very much. We tried the crab and clam steamed in sake, grilled squid with salt and soy sauce, and oh, I forgot to take a photo of the salmon and octopus sushi. They were all incredibly delicious. And then my son shocked me with some news! We also talked about Attack on Titan and other things the kids are thinking about. It was a great experience hearing about their thoughts and seeing their growth.

Sushi restaurant located on the 7th floor of Shinjuku Isetan. Went on a holiday before 11:30 and had to wait for about 7 groups. The wait kept getting longer and longer... Started with roasted green tea, followed by green tea with the sushi. Nice touch. Ordered the Botan set (¥2,750) which came with miso soup and kabosu jelly. Just the right amount. The set included shrimp and egg! Every piece of sushi was delicious.

I really love it here, you can be as picky as you want at the counter and it's so much fun! Only the things I love. Carefully sourced ingredients that are carefully prepared. I was happy to see the sincerity. The sizes vary, but everything is prepared with care ❤️ And it's not too expensive. It's the best ^_^

Today, I had a boys' night out at the manager's sushi restaurant for the first time in a while. I've been a regular at the Sushisei chain for 25 years, starting back when they were in Fuchu, and personally, it's a cozy place with a homey feel for me. The special dish today was the best ever clam dish. The soup was full of clam flavor and I wanted seconds. It was fun to compare the first new season fish and sea urchin of the year. I'll definitely be back again.

I went to the 7th floor of Shinjuku Isetan and tried the sushi at "Sushi Rokuzan", which was selected as one of the top 100 restaurants in Tokyo in 2021. The restaurant was filled with many affluent customers due to its location in Isetan's restaurant area. I ordered my favorite sushi toppings, including tamago, horse mackerel, sumiika, conger eel, medium fatty tuna, seared medium fatty tuna, sea urchin, and natto rolls. The ikura (salmon roe) was surprisingly over 1000 yen per piece, which made me a bit nervous about the prices at Isetan. The staff made sure to confirm the last order with everyone, which made me a little uneasy, but the sushi was delicious and luxurious. Thank you for the feast.

I finished work early and decided to treat myself by going to Isetan. It is located on the 7th floor of Isetan in Shinjuku. Isetan restaurants are popular and tend to get crowded, so it's best to go early to avoid long waits. I ordered a chirashi sushi and grilled conger eel. The combination of sashimi, vinegared rice, and soy sauce was perfect. Whoever came up with the idea of combining sashimi and soy sauce deserves a Nobel Prize (Shiro Yamaoka).

At a women's gathering. Isehan Shinjuku Ro-Zan lunch (with miso soup and jelly) for 3,300 yen (tax included). Elegant. The amount of rice was just right. There was a lot of tuna, but I enjoyed trying different parts. The conger eel was delicious. I can't quite explain it, but after eating at Ro-Zan, I felt invincible. I realized three days later, it was the wasabi! I want to go with someone who knows how to eat properly. After eating at Ro-Zan, I went to the basement grocery store, but I got tired and went home and fell asleep immediately. I want to go again with someone.

Visited for lunch on a holiday. There was a line of 5-6 people, but we were able to enter in about 10 minutes. Ordered the 5,500 yen lunch, which includes a soup and dessert (melon and jelly). There is also a 7,000 yen omakase course available. I think it's a great deal to be able to enjoy sushi of this quality at this price. I would love to visit this shop again after shopping at Isetan.

It was past 2 o'clock, but the restaurant was full. I sat at the counter and had the chef make me sushi. It was not so much creative as it was focused on bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients. The harmony of the slightly fatty sweetness of the horse mackerel, the aroma of the seared seaweed, and the sweetness of the sea urchin was delicious.

The place is at the restaurant floor of Shinjuku Isetan, which is the most feared shopping spot for men in Shinjuku. It is recommended to visit during a slightly late hour at night when it is less crowded than during the day. I started with the crane set, followed by the peony set with my favorite toppings on about 8 pieces of sushi. I am full and happy.

Feeling the moist, refreshing breeze on my cheeks, I could truly sense the arrival of spring. The restaurant is located in a corner of the 7th floor restaurant floor of Shinjuku ISETAN. All the restaurants at ISETAN were crowded, and I had to wait for about 20 minutes before finally being seated. The interior of the restaurant was elegantly designed, but there was a sense of hurriedness in the air, probably due to the busy atmosphere. Ordered item: Tsuru set 3300 yen Among several sets available, I chose a safe option. Each piece of sushi was carefully crafted, with the notable feature of large toppings. Since Kohada was not included in the set, I placed an additional order, which was also quite delicious, but considering it was 440 yen per piece, the set seemed like a better deal. Overall, there was a decent level of satisfaction, but somehow I still felt a bit unsatisfied. Perhaps this is what sushi at department stores is like.

There are both counter and table seats available. The counter seats are always full, so I always make a reservation when visiting. At the counter, there is no set menu, so I always go with the chef's choice. This time, I sat at a table, so I opted for the set menu. I had to wait a bit for the food to be served, but once it arrived, I enjoyed it quickly. It's great when you want to eat sushi quickly.

If you're shopping at Isetan in Shinjuku and looking to have sushi for lunch, Ro-Zan is the top choice. Their set menu offers a good balance of quality ingredients and sushi toppings, making it quite cost-effective. The "Tsuru" set (3,300 yen) includes three types of tuna, sea bream, squid, ark shell, eel, and sushi rolls with salmon roe, sea urchin, and minced tuna with green onions. It's a great lineup of sushi, meticulously crafted in the Edo style. The dessert of kabosu jelly adds a refreshing touch to the meal. During lunchtime at Isetan, expect a line at every restaurant, so be prepared to wait patiently, possibly even outside with a chair. Ro-Zan is also available in department stores in Ginza and Nagoya, so it might be fun to compare and enjoy the different locations.

Located on the 7th floor of Isetan, this sushi restaurant inside a department store exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the satisfying meal I had in the restaurant area. I sat at the counter and opted for the chef's choice menu. The dishes included sawara sashimi with saikyo miso, grilled white fish, tempura shishamo, grilled nameko mushrooms and eggplant in a sauce, followed by nigiri sushi like fatty tuna, grilled blackthroat seaperch, sea urchin, botan shrimp, flounder, and marinated kelp. The dishes were all elegant and visually pleasing. The sashimi selection of tuna, octopus, and seaweed was particularly impressive. The tuna had no fishy taste and was full of flavor, becoming my favorite. The white fish tempura was light and crispy, while the shishamo had a crunchy texture similar to karaage, simple yet perfectly done. The seven-flavor chili paste was delicious and I wished I had it at home. The nameko mushrooms and eggplant in sauce had a smooth and meaty texture that was delightful. The nigiri sushi consisted of 4-5 pieces, with the squid in salt being a favorite for its tender texture. The gizzard shad had a balanced acidity that was very enjoyable. The marinated kelp, which I had been curious about, did not disappoint and was a great choice. The subtle umami flavor paired well with sake. Although the recommended shrimp was kuruma shrimp, I opted for raw shrimp as I prefer it. The shrimp broth, served as a shrimp head soup, was a fun touch that added to the experience. The rich umami flavor that spread in my mouth was exceptional. This alone made the sushi experience worthwhile. The cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly service added to the overall experience. It's impressive how a department store like Isetan can offer such a high-quality dining experience. Due to its popularity, it's advisable to make a reservation. I would definitely visit this restaurant again when I know I'll be going to Isetan in advance.

I went to the sushi restaurant "Rozan" on the restaurant floor of Shinjuku Isetan without a reservation, so I went early. I was seated at a table and ordered the crane. Everything was delicious and fresh, melting in my mouth. The negitoro roll was very soft and moist, and the miso soup was also delicious. For dessert, I had a kabosu jelly. It was a perfect lunchtime.

- Stayed from around 2pm on 1/3, started lining up. Entered the restaurant after 3pm. Started eating around 3:30pm. - Atmosphere: Located in the restaurant area on the 7th floor of Shinjuku Isetan. There are both counter and table seats, and lunch sets are served at the table. Many customers seem to be wealthy due to the high prices. - Ordered the 5500 yen sushi set (Ise). Due to stock availability, sea urchin was replaced with crab miso, ark shell with abalone, and shrimp with steamed shrimp. It was delicious and worth the price.

I made a reservation for a counter seat at Ro-Zan, a well-known Edo-style sushi restaurant in Isetan Honkan on the 7th floor in Shinjuku. The atmosphere inside the store was bright and not very calm, perhaps due to being located in a department store. The staff were numerous, so it was not a quiet place. I started with a toast with "Shirahonoka" and ordered a course of various appetizers. I enjoyed sashimi, grilled shellfish skewers, fried shishamo, and steamed egg custard. The ingredients such as Oma tuna in the sashimi and shark fin in the egg custard were luxurious. I switched to white wine and continued to enjoy the meal. For the second half, I had a sushi course with 6 pieces of sushi and a roll. The sushi had good ingredients, small rice portions, and well-crafted nigiri, making it a delicious and reliable choice. They also had salmon, which can be a divisive option in traditional sushi, catering to a wide range of preferences. I had "Shirahonoka," two glasses of Chablis, and "Jacques Bavard," and the total bill was around 20,000 yen. This review may be helpful for those considering ordering the course menu.

Sushi restaurant Ro-Zan on a day off. Located in Isetan. Quite lively atmosphere. Started with mozuku vinegar. Sashimi of octopus, tuna, mackerel, and sea bream. Grilled shishamo. Oh, is it male fish? Bonito sashimi. Grilled fugu seaweed roll. Grilled shirako. It's creamy. Sushi course with sea bream, white squid, white shrimp, sayori, seared medium fatty tuna, salmon roe, yellowtail, conger eel, marinated tuna, sea urchin. Drank a lot of sake and got drunk. Sayori was delicious. Standard sushi with white rice. It's okay, I guess.

I visited after several years. I met a friend in Shinjuku without making a reservation and was allowed to enter until 6:15 pm. We requested a counter seat and left the menu selection to the chef. We asked for some light appetizers. The sashimi included tuna, whelk, kohada, octopus, and seared white fish belly. Grilled dishes included miso-marinated mackerel, surf clam, and octopus with seaweed and tempura. Nigiri sushi included tuna, white fish, giant clam, salmon roe, and sea urchin, along with a comparison tasting. For drinks, we had draft beer, highball, and plenty of Seabass sake. The staff kindly accommodated us even without a reservation. The chefs maintained a perfect balance of interaction with just the right amount of distance. They must be experienced in dealing with various customers. It was my first time visiting in the evening, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
