I went to "P-DASHGARDEN" for lunch. It's a bit hard to find, but if you don't miss the roadside sign, you can easily get there from Asahiyama Zoo. The address is Nishi 11-kita 37, Higashikawa-cho, Kamikawa-gun. It is a sister store of "P-DASH Cafe" located in the city center (2-7-cho, Asahikawa), which is also hard to find (down a small alley). "P-DASHGARDEN" is a lodging facility, and the restaurant I visited is located within it. The cafe is a charming place, and the newly opened "GARDEN" is also housed in a renovated old inn. The cost is low, with rates starting at only 1200 yen per night for room only! It's only a 5-minute drive from Asahiyama Zoo, so it might get busy in the summer. There are rooms available for staying with your beloved dog. All lunch sets here come with unlimited tea and ice cream. The tea is self-service with a variety of tea bags to choose from. I ordered the "Sweet and Spicy Rice Lunch" for 980 yen. It came with a plate of salad and rice topped with a sunny-side-up egg, underneath which was sweet and savory minced meat. The taste was surprisingly good, with a sweet flavor reminiscent of grandma's cooking. After lunch, I enjoyed the ice cream buffet. I tried all five flavors, and they were all surprisingly delicious. The rum raisin and strawberry flavors were my favorites. Overall, the lunch was enjoyable and worth the price, especially with the tea and ice cream buffet included. It was a unique and fun dining experience, typical of P-DASH.
