After 6 years, I visited the standing sushi bar at Hanamaru Ginza. There were about 5 groups waiting on a Sunday evening around 8 PM. We ordered the five-piece assortment of buri, toro nishin, hirame, chutoro, sujiko, and funori soup, along with squid ears, Hanasaki crab, and mountain wasabi tekka maki. The cost was just under 4000 yen for two people, making it a great value.

On my way home, I suddenly felt like eating sushi, so I stopped by this reasonably priced place. There was no line today, so I had some time to spare! (Plus, I just have to go home after this, haha) I enjoyed some sushi made by skilled chefs while sipping on Japanese sake. And all of this for less than 5000 yen! Truly, it's the best standing sushi experience. The variety of sushi toppings was plentiful and the portion size was generous. I left feeling completely satisfied. Ahh, just writing this comment made me crave sushi again today.

I visited through a hometown tax reservation and set menu! The crab miso soup was delicious, but it might have been easier to eat the inside if the crab had been cracked open. The set menu included sea urchin, which was smooth and delicious without any fishy taste. Additionally, I also ordered extra items like shrimp tail, fatty tuna, and squid. I wish there was more pickled radish in the fatty tuna, but the richness of the fatty tuna itself was delicious. Overall, I think it's a great value for decent sushi.

The counter has about 11 seats, but the turnover is not bad. Most people seem to eat quickly and leave. The fresh and generous toppings are really delicious! The value for money is also great. I especially enjoyed the marinated red shrimp. The quick service from ordering to serving is also very much appreciated. Eating all this for around 4000 yen per person is truly satisfying. I will definitely visit again when I have the chance!

I have been to Nemuro Hanamaru's standing sushi bar many times, and this time I enjoyed seared enagawa, seared tuna head, salmon roe, and double-decker scallops. The miso soup had plenty of shrimp heads in it, giving it a delicious shrimp flavor. You can order fresh Hokkaido ingredients like fatty herring that you wouldn't find in a regular sushi restaurant, so it's a great place to discover new flavors.
